looks like what they should have created in the first place.. i will get 1 as there will be no future Coleco flashback units created. nice review as always
Now this is an interesting product. When I first saw the video title I thought "Oh god please no more Chameleon talk". Thank god this video is about something that is real and exists :)
Great one, lad. If I find any used Colecovision or Intellivision Flashbacks, I will send either one to you so you can mod them playing all Colecovision, Intellivision and Atari 2600 games at once as a big relive the moment one. Even though I am no expert in this, I gave you my suggestion so I do not have to worry or feel frustrated anyhow.
That is a great one, lad. If Raspberry Pi converted ColecoVision Flashbacks are great for all ColecoVision Games, but also all Atari 2600 and Intellivision Games on that Flashback only. Therefore, this is something those 80s people love Atari 2600, Intellivision and ColecoVision all the time.
How can it use the expansion modules when they connected to that proprietary expansion on the front of the original Colecovision and didn't the driving controller have a gas pedal? What about the expansion module 1 the Atari VCS converter?
buy a original to use the atari expansion module, dont think I even said it would work with this. And yes the driving controller has a gas pedal that plugs into the steering controller.
the original had 60 games only, this one has all the games plus can use the original controllers and such. there is a thread on atariage talking about it, I think I may mention in the video as well
Children of this generation should learn how to play these games. If not, and keeps playing violent and raunchy women video games, the police will end up slapping the handcuffs on them for violence, and going to bed with other women and develop venereal diseases.
@@SVT512 Well you have a good point perhaps I was a little bit hard on it after watching the whole review I have had a small change of mind but I can still play all those same games on a pi no offence I still love ArcadeUSA
My apologies I was kind of hard on your video anywas sorry for bashing your review I was not having a great day then ordered an adapter from overseas and it came broken sometimes I can be a real A-hole I still prefer my original coleco but I love the AtariMax coleco cart
@@SVT512 I'm impressed 2, I1 CIB just have one but it is modded for AV and I'm grateful That, as for the phoenix do you think they will ever do another run of the system somehow I missed out on it the first time and I'd flip if I could get my hands on one
The modern day extreme approach to copyright law really bugs me. How much would Nintendo really lose by letting the Colecovision DK be used on an official Flashback? They’re only taking it away from a handful of nostalgists who love the Colecovision. Obviously they would want to protect their original DK because there’s still lots of demand, but being jerks about a very niche product benefits no one. As it is, the official Flashback is not a good representation of the CV.
This is true especially with the colecovision because most of the games you want to play are licensed from other companies dk, dkjr, frogger, Popeye, burger time, and so on. Colecovision didnt have many games they could shove in the flashback without shelling out the licensing again.
