@30:30 Today I’m starting a note book on what is the easiest thing I could have done today that would have made the biggest positive change in my day. Thanks Lance
Not gonna lie I fell out of this habit already but I got a notification on my comment and it’s a good reminder to start it up again. It’s hard to stay disciplined on something as simple as this.
20:00 I love the part Lance talks about how powerful it is to extract and identify "what easiest change could you have made to have a positive impact on your day" this is amazing. I have had so much internal reflection listening to Lance.
Some people have the hunger to succeed but not the passion and some people have the passion but not the hunger wow thats a great way to put it . The 2 have to meet ,I had to question myself about hunger which is a uncomfortable truth because the passion is there but boy was I missing that 2nd component.
- most obvious is usually wrong - ever trading trend in the market - you need to keep improving and adapting with the market - if you had a bad day, think of a solution to prevent it happening again and how you can improve it/ prevent it. improve 200times a year. - what is the easiest change can you make today that will have the most positive impact on your trade/ day - identify and MAKE the changes - did you do better even if red day - detached to money to take risk - can bounce back - compound philanthrophy time and money
Does it count if my improvement for trading today was passively listening to this 2 part chat? :). Actually these discussions are invaluable to hear from successful traders on very poignant topics and questions, which leads me to complement the interviewer in pulling out and digging deeper when seeking answers to his questions. Excellent interview on both parts.
I'm definitely a fan of these interviews but sometimes i wonder about the purpose of these interviews; are they more for entertainment or educational purposes? I mean, things the guy talked about like optimal sleep, sacrifice, think about your mistakes and make changes, can always find things to do on a slow day or holiday are all things that can be found on the internet and honestly quite trivial for a self-reflecting person. The information is so general and not exactly helpful. If a small point on the technical details is touched, the term 'proprietary' comes up and it's a secret; well why come on the interview in the first place? Basically a young person applied to a firm, sacrificed, worked hard, corrected mistakes, and became successful; like, for most people who've read some articles and some well-known market wizard books, it's not hard to guess the script and screen-play. Is it incorrect to expect details that can actually help with trading itself in a more precise respect or is it not the point of these interviews? Just a youtube remark.
@@believeinpeace8975 He's not going to give away all his hard work... especially when the strategies and analysis are probably quite simple, but highly detailed and nuanced.
Great postcard but let’s be honest, this was more on habits and psychology rather than actual deep dive into strategy and tactics like other podcast (I.e Kristjan Qullamaggie). If they are going to come on, ask the secret sauce question and don’t be shy away.
The whole point of trading is for you to discover your own edge or “secret sauce.” Of course he’s not going to give you his setups if he spent thousands of hours pouring over data and charts and setups to find that edge.
Amazing insights from a true market wizard and veteran. Have to push back on the statement Bill Gates saves millions of lives every year, Buffetts money could be used much better elsewhere !!
I think you can easily be a point and click trader if your swing trading or position trading. Not “everything” has to be optimized to that extent. Just find what works for you because lots of people make money in the markets in a lot of different ways
IMO, if you are not fast as market then find some way to make market slow. Only diff. is that you make $1000 in 5mins in fast pace where as taking slow path it could take couple hrs. But remember it also means you could loose $1000 in 5mins or it takes couple hours to loose $1000. Choice is yours.
My hot key is a preloaded Bracket Order on my cell phone that has my trading app on. I watch the chart on Tradingview on my desktop with my finger on the buy button on my cellphone.
Trying to do the social responsibility things he is talking about in the corporate world in career suicide. Notice he is trying to get others to do the work for him. I am speaking from experience and once you are destroyed none of the master minds that tricked you will help you.
