Today is a sad day as we mourn the victims of today's school shooting in Vantaa, Finland. This video definitely cheered me up after the terrible day today has been. Thank you for that
The historic buildings are so pretty in Malmo! That cardamon roll, carrot cake and pizza looked so so yummy! 😋 I give you both lots of credit for trying those disgusting foods at the museum…you know I couldn’t do it! 🤪
Enjoy your well deserved break. Only started watching your channel when you came to visit our beautiful island of Newfoundland. I’ve watched your adventures since. Thanks for taking us along on your journeys and look forward to seeing what the rest of the year has in store for you both!!!
You guys genuinely feel like very nice people! so I am following for that simple reason! we need more down to earth, REAL people to look at ! :D thank you for being just that! safe travels!
Another fun day trip from Copenhagen is taking the train to Helsingor and then the ferry rides Helsingborg. The train, castle and small aquarium in Helsingor are all included in the Copenhagen City card. The ferry was awesome - had a restaurant. Can’t say much on Helsingor -only had time to walk up to the top of a hill since we wasted an hour waiting on some bubble tea (long story). Great day trip for kids!
Those are definitely on our list! Quebec looks amazing! Ontario does as well, but we won't be taking the van there until they get rid of that silly pit bull law
Great vlog guys I love Sweden my oldest friend has lived there for over 20 years I've been twice to visit him and it's an incredible country and the people are so friendly. Take care guys 😊
Thanks for another fun video and for braving the cold for this winter series. Everyone deserves to have peace and balance in their lives and when we take the time to take care of ourselves the next fun thing has a chance to show itself. So enjoy your time not knowing what is next.
Really great video, and for a one day visit Malmö is great, with so much nice things to see and do in a concentrated area. And I say that as a Stockholmer.
Great video! The falafal looked like a Subway wrap! lol Can't wait to see what's next but so understand about being burned out. Take your time and we'll see you when we see you! ; )
I want to point out the Dala Horse, which was briefly pictured in the video. There's an entire history surrounding this traditional Swedish folk symbol. It dates back to the days of the Vikings, and it's typically painted red to mimic the copper-based paint that was used on early carved versions. Today, small replicas are given as gifts to symbolize good luck.
We noticed the Dala Horses in the windows of some gift shops. We actually learned about them in Lindsborg, Kansas! There is a shop there that makes and sells them. They are super cool!
Thxs for all the travel videos. We are heading to Boston after watching your video on it. We are looking forward to your next adventure. Happy Traveling.
Loved your adventures in Europe. Now take your rest and think up a good plan for the rest of the year. Come see Branson, MO when you can. We love it here.
We think we've got a good plan worked out! We're excited to share more soon! Branson is a fun area! So much to see and do! We visited a few years ago (didn't film a video) and were really blown away by the surrounding nature Thanks, Donald!
Hey y’all. Great episode. Was there Vegemite in the museum? 🤣. Excited to hear you’re heading west in late spring/ summer . Maybe we will see you somewhere out on the road. We will be there too! Our videos are nowhere near your amazing standard, but we will try our best and share the experience on our channel. Stay safe you two. (P.S. Scott said he’ll wear the A+K shirt in case we see you 😂😇).
Thanks again for taking us on your European travels!!! Hope you've been able to take lots of fika since being back as you considered what's next in your looser schedule. Also, wondering "in real time" today if you're going somewhere in the US to experience the upcoming total solar eclipse? That would be so amazing to hear about from you down the road. In the meantime, looking forward to seeing your next adventures, wherever they may be!!
We’ve definitely focused on our fika breaks! They’ve been wonderful No, we don’t have any plans to see the eclipse. Texas was the perfect place to be for it, but we have commitments out west and couldn’t stay. We’ll see a partial eclipse though!
That museum looked like tons of fun. If you make it out west to AZ try Rusty Taco if you haven't already. Tacos are so good. They have a brisket taco and dynamite shrimp are two of our favs. :)
Hi this was the first time i watch your channel, Malmö and Sweden should you guys visit in the summer. Malmö is fantastic but even Gothenburg, Stockholm Värmland Dalarna and the rest of the North Sweden a amazing Nature
Since childhood (17now) I have a couple of pshycotic ailments your vids and many others like these give me hope that one day ill be there and tonn productivity as an artist and immuserable of postivity Subbed❣️🤗
The moment you said "Disgusting Food Museum," I immediately thought of your durian adventures in Thailand. I'm impressed that it wasn't that bad this time around! I know it can be really difficult to get over a taste aversion. And although I love watching the videos on your channel, I hope that you all get some adequate time to rest and reflect!
I (Adam) wasn't very excited to give it another try, but I'm glad I did - it actually was pretty good! Thank you for saying that! We've rested and we're excited to be back out adventuring again!
That museum of disgusting food must be the inspiration for that show Fear Factor! The guys working in the tasting area look like. they have fun! Good call heading over to Sweeden for the day! I think you two made up for growing up in Texas without cold snowy winters on this trip for sure! Come to St. Louis for your Clementine's Naughty and Nice Ice Cream! We were there on Saturday and thought of yall! Maybe an ice cream road trip adventure? 🎉 Keep dancing!❤
The guys leading the tasting were super fun and personable. I guess you have to to convince people to try those foods 😂 they’re very good at their job! Oh man Clementine’s is still one of our all time faves!
Pov Idea: How about dog themed adventures & spend the rest of the time w/Kona? Our fur-kiddos have a short enough lifespan as it is. Like childhood; ITS TOO SHORT! #JustAThought
We are definitely focused on traveling with Kona as much as we can, especially now that she is 10. But we also have no idea how long our lives will be either, so we want to be able to experience the world as well! This Europe trip was only a month long (we got back 2.5 months ago), so it wasn’t that long to be without her and she has gotten tons of snuggles since 🥰
Great pic of Kona!!! Watching travel channels, I often hear the vloggers saying that they wished they could stay in a place a bit longer but they don't have time. Must move on. Why not just stay longer? I guess future plans, reservations, flights etc have already been booked in advance and you need to stick to your schedule. That would be exhausting. Glad to hear you are going to take some time to catch your breath and let your heart rather than a schedule lead you to your next adventure - with your baby girl. Speaking of pups, during all of your travels, where would you say is the most dog friendly place?
There are many reasons! For traveling abroad, we can’t leave Kona for very long and we want to see as much as we can whenever we are able to travel internationally. In the van, we can’t always stay in places easily for long periods of time, due to lack of free camping or expensive paid camping. Or we don’t have enough power and need to keep moving (driving helps charge our batteries). Plus, we almost always have some sort of commitment that drives our schedule. And balancing working full time and adventuring means you naturally don’t have as much time to explore as someone on a vacation would, so you would need more days in one place to see just as much. As content creators, it can be creatively challenging to stay in one place for long, as there is a pressure to create exciting content constantly and there’s only so many videos we can make it one place. For dog friendliness, we really loved having Kona with us in SW Colorado. There is tons to do outside of national parks that she can join for.
@@AdventuresofAplusK next time try a meal, also ikea carries some of the fish products shipped out of sweden. that is where I learned to like liggonberry
I went to Malmo 2 weeks ago and I’m really shocked to see there’s no swedes there mostly Middle Eastern people, sad because I came to see Swedish culture.
I didn't know Malmo and this was one of my favorite videos I've seen of yours. I had no idea it was so old and beautiful. The food was amazing. You guys do food segments the best. You should think of going to Turkey. It is supposed to be fascinating and not so expensive.
I think most Swedish pizzas would make the souls of anyone bleed... Save yourself and do not image google "Svensk pizza" (=Swedish pizza). The pizza they had was at least in the Napolitan style, and we got that too, while a lot of regular neighborhood pizzas, there are pizzas like: Kebabpizza (kebabmeat, garlic sauce, feferoni, iceberg lettuce, french fries) Bananapizza (chicken, banana, peanuts and curry powder) Tacopizza (minced meat, cumin, paprika, chili, red onion, sour cream) Tenderloinpizza (beef tenderloin, onions, mushrooms, sauce bearnaise, tomatoes, rocket)
@glennscotti8891 it's the easiest way for the traditional thin crust Swedish pizzas. Not everyone does it, tho. What would make your Italian ancestry slowly die would probably be a Swedish style pizza Tropicana. (Chicken and/or shrimp, sliced bananas, curry powder and optional peanuts.)
The small bus outside Malmö Castle is one of only two remaining "White Busses" that rescued jews and other survivers from the consentrations camps at the end and right after WW 2.
Cool nasty food. Pretty crazy to see pop tarts and lil Debbie snacks or was it hostess. Anyway I sure would have like to known someone to spit those out..
@@AdventuresofAplusK I apologize because we started watching you two a long time ago and enjoyed all your sightseeing and hiking adventures. We aren’t into watching people eat so we will unsubscribe. I was under the impression it was a travel based channel. As two older adults we love watching channels about places we can no longer go to. Just thought you might like to know one viewers opinion.
There is tons of hiking and sightseeing to come. Some videos we share more food than others. Food is a huge reason why we travel. We appreciate your support and for watching our videos
TIP: You could make a video on how to dress in the winter here in Scandinavia. I have seen many sorry examples of bad clothing. Dress for the wind, the wind is the "killer". And for god’ sake, something on your head, as you did. Imagine, peeling off the skin of your head, the area is huge. That area will “pump” heat out in the cold, if not covered.
What is the fascination with fika? Or saying "fika culture" It just means a coffee break. Does the United States have a cigarette break culture or a lunch break culture?
As we mentioned, the US has a hustle culture instead. From our experience, taking a break to stop, slow down, and catch up with family and friends during your workday isn’t very common in the US, at least for most people. My lunch breaks were always at my desk, while still working.
In Canada, smoking is banned in all indoor public spaces, transit, workplaces etc. As such going outside for cigarette breaks (regardless of the weather) is very much a part of our culture for smokers.
It is tough! I had a CEO once who was annoyed people left at 5 and once tried to bribe/force people to come into work on a dangerous weather day by offering pizza 😅. Some companies are getting better at making sure you have a work life balance, but many still aren’t!
I always wonder how you don't put on wait eating so much. Then went you go to a place handing out vomit bags. That did it for me. No matter how cold it was, I'd be doing the ice cream with coffee. LOL. 🤗🤗. Enjoy your time off. Play with your little girl and be with the family. We'll be here when you return. ❤💚💙 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️
Average Swede here. Well, you get all kinds of views on NATO membership but my impression is that most swedes think it is a positive thing. Politically, almost all the major parties support us joining. The biggest party in Sweden were against membership for a long time but changed their mind when Russia invaded Ukraine. My personal take is that I don't really think we need it, since we are almost surrounded by NATO countries, is a member of the EU and have several agreements with other countries. But I always thought we should join anyway because I think that we should do our part to make the world a safer place and that it is our obligation to help with the protection of countries that are in a less fortunate position.
