You dont go for dps stats on a hybrid in a duo, you go for int/stam. 7 strength only gives you only 1 dps while 7 int gives you 105 mana which means more heals, more cc, more dmg and less downtime
Warlock/Paladin is the best one ive seen. So much utility with an oh shit button for just about every possible event and the ability of taking on huge packs is great with just using consecration then spamming corruption and rain of fire. Very robust comp.
My buddy and I did this duo and I can confirm. Imp's fire shield and stam buff are nuts for pally and BoW is nuts for the lock. Plus bubbles and health stones.
I'm running a mage/warlock combo now and it's working great. Easy to get gear via Tailoring. Warlock dots the mobs and mage keeps them rooted and slowed. Works great
warrior/shaman works very well, there's really not much gear competition, shaman use leather, warrior use mail early on, when shaman can use mail. warrior upgrade to plate armor. plus shaman is normally going elemental/resto in this duo, he's focused on caster stats gear, leaving all the melee gear for warrior.
@@kairo6588 it absolutely makes sense. Weapon competition, arguably the most important part for either, along with str/agi for armor in general. Warriors are historically known to only wear mail and plate, after all.
@@seifeir6951 It's clear you're clueless, so allow me to inform you of some basic Classic WoW knowledge: Windfury weapon, similar to Seal of the Crusader for paladins, both see noticible increases in their damage with a slow weapon, as that means more procs overall. If a warrior thinks I'm gonna pass on a Corpsemaker on either class, that homie's sorely mistaken.
@@LifelessIsBeat Warriors will sacrifice armor for dps. They will wear leather for preraid bis. Same reasons why an ele shaman or paladin would wear cloth.
@@MetaGoblin Don't take it as an insult. With official HC launching soon, you would be silly not to cash in on people wanting more detailed info on how to optimize.
@@MetaGoblinI actually agree with him, don't get me wrong it's a good video, but going into more detail of each comp and their strengths and weaknesses would be nice. Also going into if they're early-mid- or late game focused would also be nice. Keep up the good work. (Maybe this could be a series? Diving into duo comps how to play em etc)
not going to mention Warrior + Priest? its like the best duo comp, Not going to be hard to find dungeon groups, no downtime. dont compete with gear, one range one melee. Win Win imo. i even would go as far to say its better comp then Warrior/Shaman and Warrior/paladin coz the priest has a really good kit to make going oom less of a issue and the warrior can push the dps. Shamans tend to decline after 50ish in hc, Paladin would complete with warriors gear to much and druid would be to fast vs warrior. The warrior/priest really go well and id say its a s tier duo comp and just extreamly good for endgame. going to be so easy to gear up in dungeons and make gold.
Warrior/Shaman IMO is the best followed by Pally/Rogue and then Warlock/anyone that can heal. The only time gear overlap is an issue is with weapons and dungeon loot. Most of your gear will come from quests so it really doesn't matter. If we're including mage/mage then obviously that is #1 by a large margin
Druid rogue is excellent. Double energy users kill mobs very fast and gear competition is almost nonexistent. Paladin is best paired with warrior/lock as they benefit immensely from healing. The same applies to priest.
I disagree with the “gear overlap” for a Hardcore duo or trio. If you are in a duo and the comp is Priest and Warlock (both cloth gear) and a nice cloth robe drops, it doesn’t matter that you both can use it. The item is going to improve your team as a whole, regardless of which character equips it. A duo/trio is a team effort, not a solo effort. Think of it this way: if you are in a duo as a Priest and a Warrior and a cloth item drops, it’s still only one character on the team that is using that item.
Lol. It won't ruin anything. It will just be a different Hardcore gameplay, but still Hardcore. Hardcore is a invented concept... as for all concepts, there are different ways to change them. Some people consider Hardcore is about having one life. As Official Hardcore servers lauch, you won't by the way be able to puchase the big OP enchants, stuffs, etc. as they will be overexpensive. Servers will need few months to get a stable economy... and even then... If you decide to live your classic HC experience without using AH... well, nobody has anything to say about it... so it is for the ones who will farm for gold to buy some items. Don't forget you need golds to buy from AH. It means that you have to farm golds to buy something... How is that different from playing the game "normally". If you have on one side a HC player that wants to go fresh and play with strict rules... on the other you will have a lvl 60 farming gold to by stuff for his alt. By the time the second one has finished farming his 600-800 golds to get all the great stuff his alt need for 1-30... the first player could already be lvl 30 or so... just different way to play the game... nothing more.
@@nealfuscause ppl will b buying gold lmao. That's mainly why the self sufficiency rule is in place. What I think will happen is everyone's gonna play there for a few months, realize blizz screwed up again and go back to having a dedicated server and play with the add-on
@@nealfus ??? Is this a real question. Are you asking me why I don't want cucks turning something that is supposed to be a test of your skill into a pay2win game? Lol, lmao even.
@@DiogoSilva-og7tc doesn't answer the question. If these idiots turn their experience to P2Win one on Harcore (witch we both agree about being completely stupid regarding the whole HC philosohpy), they will sureley crush the experience and roll over their leveling experience... but. You still got to choose how YOU play YOUR own hardcore experience (unless you play on a pvp hardcore server... in that case, well... it sucks). If you follow the current HC rules, you won't in all cases, trade with them or use AH. You'll get your own loot as usual. You will only witness p2w players around you going fast as hell and crushing over mobs ... but litteraly that doesn't mean that your experience is ruined if you dont interact directly with them... and thats assuming that a majority of players will buy gold on illegal sites. Actually mate, even tho we are arguing about the upcomming official servers, i agree with you... I believe that the crurent HC rules are the best ones... for community, for the whole hc environnement. The problem is ... nobody knows what kind of server rules Blizzard will give us. Either just one-life characters or the full HC experience... sometimes what doesn't fit you isn't specially bad.. and if you truely want a full HC experience... you could just turn on your addon on official servers and continue to play in that way with the actual system... or directly come back to Era servers. Consider other players that are not using the addon, the same way you consider non-hc players on Hydraxian Waterlords. The hype will eventually fall down... and if devoted HC players truely belive official servers are bad... well we coud just give a ironical "gz nt" to blizzard and continue our usual HC experience on Era.
Hunter/warlock, paladin druid, warrior shaman, druid/hunter because buff synergy Druid priest, druid warlock, and mage/paladin for low gear over lap Druid paladin, druid warrior, watlock hunter, druids and paladins go well with hunters and warlocks, mage and paladin for efficiency
Druid hunter breaks the first rule you laid out: They share leather agility gear until the hunter gets mail, and share rings, neck, back, trinkets, etc forever. You also missed some of the more hilariously powerful unintuitive combos like mage+mage. Mage+mage if frost, will have mobs getting proc-frozen if you choose that path, making both mages crit obscenely often, and with the crit multiplier talent, mobs are dropping after 2-3 bolts from the 2 mages (4-5 bolts). Because of the ridiculous efficiency of frostbolt only, and the fact the mobs never get close enough to do damage, it's extremely efficient. I think there was a streamer who did 1-10 or 1-20 timings and mage-mage was the fastest by far, and he also found that Shaman/Warr was actually one of the slowest.
@@mrillis9259 Only if Blizzard restricts the Dungeon use. Otherwise Bots will just run lowlevel dungeons or even safer just farm materials like lotus in strahtholme
Fighting over loot with your duo partner is the stupidest thing ive ever heard. Make the choices based off whats best for both of you. Dont take everything, dont loot whore the duo. Its not hard.
@@psyonicpanda that too. Strong duos don’t even need good gear. Melee notwithstanding, but a warrior or rogue paired with a good partner is more than enough to destroy leveling
It doesn't matter what the hardcore servers "allow". If you are playing by the HC ruleset, you can not use the AH. Period. That logic is broken, because the servers we're playing on right now "allow" you to use the AH, but doing so invalidates your run. If you don't follow the rules, you'll just be ignored by all of the actual HC players.
I don't know how I could even live with myself if I got ignored by all of the gigachad cool kid hardcore challenge admins. Life would not be worth living without the approval of random people on the internet.
@MetaGoblin I'm sorry if you felt I was attacking you man. But the idea of whether something is allowed or not is honestly just a non-factor for HC. That's the core issue here. You can say "I'm doing a hardcore run but with AH and trading" all you want, but then it's just not hardcore. Permadeath sure, but it's not SSF and doesn't meet the rules. The HC community and the rules they've set are the only reason Blizzard is making "HC official " servers. But people keep coming in to the game mode and then saying they want to change it, meaning you never wanted to play the game mode in the first place. You're not making an HC duo leveling guide, because your guide doesn't fit within the HC rules.
@MetaGoblin Honest question, hilarious how? It wasn't meant as a troll post or an attack, but a legitimate point about what you and a lot of other people keep saying in reference to what blizzard does or does not allow.
HC mod is God's final word. HC Mod is the Son of God who is the heir of all things, Creator of the universe, sustainer, the radiance of God's glory, and the exact representation of his being. Think you gotta relax, check how your spectrum is doing, and let hardcore go for a bit. Having a HC mod dictate how the game is meant to played is cringe
