Hey! Thanks for the list! :) Could you explain why you'd ever want to build defensive items on Fiddlesticks? Like Randuin's or Frozen Heart. Your job as Fiddlesticks is not to tank anything, surely rather buying damage and playing your fights better is the right answer no?
You build defensive items whenever you have a fed AP carry in ur team already and it's not your job to deal dmg. You deal shit tons of dmg either way with liandry alone. That's why items like frozen heart and knights vow are a thing. That's ofc when you're not like hard stomping yourself, but you're even.
@@playcabex But wouldn't more damage just be better? Like having 2 fed APs in the team? I feel like Fiddle going defensive is like a Syndra or Fizz building defensive stats, it sounds bad honestly? That said I'm looking at this from a Jungle Fiddle perspective, maybe a lane Fiddle is different?
@@francoiskrugerpersonal2985 On paper ye, going damage is always better, but in practice that's not always the case. If you already have tons of damage in team, but nobody to build time and enable them then it's quite worthless. This is a general 5v5 rule, Imo it mostly applies to high elo only where draft and everything according to that actually matters. In lower elos ofc I'd never rly buy tank items as I'm the primary carry there. If the only one that can actually carry the game is your ADC for example, then building supportive items (knights vow/frozen heart with it's AS reduction or even locket) to deny her death is way more valuable than DMG. Another example would be Ranged top with enchanter support and a mage mid. You have nobody to enable the carries so you're building supportive to build time. I'm quite sure you build defensive items as well without even realizing it. Zhonya, Banshees, aby mask are all defensive items as well which are all situational, just like frozen heart is. Perfect example of Frozen Heart. Ofc you wouldn't rush it in jungle, but even there it would have been a great choice as 2nd/3rd item: www.op.gg/summoners/euw/Cabex-EUW/matches/34-jfPz6Tmyq_1JTc7i_V7yQPHBlLSV-2YgmK7OiN5Q%3D/1725467388000 If the item only showed how much DMG it reduced then the number would be crazy high.
What's your opinion on Seraphs vs. Garen specifically? So far the only matchup where it felt like it's actually more useful than alternatives for me. Zhonyas just doesn't do much vs the silence into E/R combo and tank items early would sacrifice damage too much.
