Hey guys, thanks for all the support! Seeing how this video has taken off quite a bit, it's quickly becoming my most popular video in just 2 days. That being said, there's a couple things about my build i forgot to mention in my haste to get this video out. This video is just me rambling about my build, and some tips on how to make your own and think about what you prioritize! @@livinteawhen sailor fist did have steam magic, it was effectively basic combat but with slightly more impact damage for less DOT damage for less damage all in all. Plasma basic combat trumps anything else except maybe thermofist if you’re a god.
funfact: basic has an unintentional mastery bar, meaning that its attacks are tiny unless you grind it out a bit. spend like 10 minutes at fort talos then use basic in pvp again, its soo much easier to use
@@dannysot1910 tbh i find basic the most enjoyable fstyle AS LONG AS you dont forget to grind out the mastery, it has good size, the same damage as iron leg (except it has no bleed) and it still has decent speed. you also dont need to manage any bars
as a guy who also tested lots of styles i can say basic is a good style people just shrug it off because you start with it how ever it is a decently fast style with a decent damage no gimmicks just pure damage for exemple on my savant file some times during pvp i may end up forgetting to maintain my heat if that happens i can just swap to basic and still do a devent damage

With the recent changes to shot and crash(being that no matter which fs you got, it has the same range, and that you won’t be able to increase the distance by speed to agility) I hope you remake this cause I genuinely enjoyed this video

Imo basic is underrated, it isn't THE BEST in anything, but it isn't BAD in anything... also as a no-life with almost 700 hours on AO its better to admit you have a skill issue and learn than get mad and not learn :P (sorry ya lost your job bro)
I think you forgot that imbuing heat magics into sailor gives the scalding effect which is currently being buffed to match burning. Notnonly it cannot be removed by charging unlike burning, it makes sailor fist a pretty reliable option
@machpf i guess you do have a point. But that's what i use since thermo is being gutted to the ground right now. I'm trying to get used to it. I might try basic combat too ngl.
@@Kryptid. Thermo works well you just have to like, actually have the playstyle it entails lol. Tbh i think about going back to thermo after re-using it for this video but i enjoy basic combat a lot

Yeah I figured out way back when I got magic fighting styles that sticking with Basic Combat was better. I use Iron Magic, and I didn't really want to tween my fighting style to minmax my damage, I just figured it'd be more worthwhile to use my fundamentals, and this video put that thought on blast. Great video, man
@@machpf What stats do you recommend I go for warlock? Idk whats a good balance between magic and fighting style, or if i should just go beserker (i kinda want to use both cannon fist and something else, but idk if its viable)
@@Justanaveragenoob8781 cannonfist makes me want to cry with how bad it is. I suppose it's better this update because its shot distance is now significantly higher this update but, i dunno. I don't have recommendations, that's up to you
This lowkey makes me wanna do boxing or change my attack speed iron leg to an agility iron leg build since I’m not gonna be warlock or berserker anytime soon cause I needa find the interchange potion I may aswell become cannon fist or boxing
I use light then iron leg, slowness is no more! So that means I can focus on getting power and defense, MAYBE attack size but speed is no longer a problem
Understanding how to beat a warrior is really easy, its like fighting bosses in this game. Just do range and run And abuse the insane nerfs that the balancing team keeps giving them
Whatever you want to and what feels right to you. This video is about how to find what the ultimate fighting style means for your own stiuation, i don't know what it's like to be a poison warlock and so cannot give you the answer
