I have tried so many powders and every single one makes me look dry and wrinkled within an hour or two.... but the elf never does that. I'm 48 years old with dry skin and recently started having 'Bad' hot flashes (dripping sweat) because of menopause and I am hoping this technique will work for me and keep things in place.
Thank you for sharing this hack! I took a screenshot and am def going to give it a try. I use setting spray before foundation but not the loose powder. So I’m hoping that will help the longevity of my makeup along with the setting spray 😊 I used to have acne bad bc of PCOS and endometriosis. It was so bad I ended up having a complete hysterectomy at age 29. I’m now 51 and would still be getting the acne but I have been taking an antibiotic daily for years now. I have late stage Lyme disease and other autoimmune diseases but the antibiotic keeps my skin clear as well. I do have a lot of redness that I like to keep covered. I’m thinking this hack will maybe help with that. I hope your toe is healing up! Man that looks sore! I’ve broken toes over the years and the pain is terrible! I am so going to try this! Any recommendations for a loose powder for dry/drier/maturing skin? I know the hack is more targeted at oily skin, but I'd like to try just for the heck of it ❤
Thank you for this. I remember hearing about the powder under the foundation so I tried at once and thought it looked terrible. But I don't think I used loose powder first of all and secondly I definitely didn't use settings spray before foundation. I'm really oily so I'll try anything to get more wear time LOL
Ooooh I def need to try this hack!! Also, not that you asked and not to be annoying (cuz I'm sure you've been to the derm) but I was the same way with my skin and Clindamycin changed my skin!
I use to get acne around the jaw and it's hormonal. Only thing that helped was adapeline. Which is differn but they have one cheaper from acne free. Give it time. It gets worse before it gets better so give it time cus most people think it gets worse and quit. Keep with it. I barely ever get any acne at all now.

Can you reapply powder after the foundation? I used powder cheek and bronzers so I always set my skin tint/foundation with a light setting powder before putting them on.
I've not had any success, yet. I don't think mine is makeup-related, only because there was a good 6 months or more that I barely worn makeup, and my acne never improved. In fact, I actually learned that my blemishes dry up more when I wear makeup. But that's weird to me. I'm going to the dermatologist again in October, so I'm hoping I can finally get some help because I desperately need it.
Hi, do you maybe have a reaction to fragranced/ perfumed products rather than acne?! Sorry, I've seen lots of people who are now allergic to products because of it Xxx
I don't wear perfume everyday, and unless it's a fragrance in my skincare or something, I wouldn't know what else it could be from. 🫤 I don't feel like I use anything regularly with heavy fragrance though.
@TheGlamourIndex Hi, yeh I can wear perfume but can't put any Skincare or makeup with perfume/fragrance, also other ingredients to look out for are linalool, limonene, citronella and eugenol, I had really bad breakouts but using non perfumed products now, my skin only gets the usual spot here and there. Probably not the same for you but just a bit of info just incase. Sorry ❤️ xxxx
