Your tutorial is fantastic. Thanks very much for taking the time to post it. I followed your instructions. Set it all up on my laptop, plugged it in using the enet cable to my 2018 530e and voila! Diagnostics, programming, error codes .... everything a DIYer could ever want. The enet cable was like $25, a new 2TB hard drive was $100. Identified a faulty park distance sensor. Found a BMW new sensor online for $35. Total cost to me $160 vs probably $750 if I went to the dealer. Kudos & thanks again

I just subscribed your channel. Wow very details. I wonder if this program will work with BMW F10 5 series. I got problem with the central gateway module. Ordered a used one from ebay and not sure if it will be just plug and play since the module was from a different car with a different VIN number.

Hello thanks for the content. I’m having issues reading my car on ista, it’s not communicating and I’m getting a pad error after trying to communicate. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Any idea on why I might be getting a connection error #19 “no response from control unit” every time I try to sync my dme and ews. Other than that everything checks out I can see live data and activate modules.

Hello and thank you for all this work you have done creating this! I have a 2013 750Li xDrive f02 body n63Tu engine. I had heard you say that the ista is better for the newer F models. I have only seen people using ista d and ista p where i think ista d is for diagnostics and wiring diagrams and ista p is for programming. Does the ista version you have on your site/files include ista d and ista p? Or just ista d? do you think the inpa will be suffice for the 7 series? I am a retired foreign car mechanic of 15 years now working in R&D building CNC machines but i do all the work on my car and a couple of my friends Bmw’s, mainly a 2013 Bmw x5 E70 and a 2013 bmw X3 f25. I have spent the better part of $2,000 on 3 different scan tools that are bidirectional and read multiple modules as well as injector coding on one of them but still nothing like ista or what you have here. I have been wanting for a long time to have a dealer level scan tool for my cars. What would you recommend i use for the 3 2013 models i listed? mainly the 7 series f02 and my wife’s car is the x5 e70. my best friend has the x3 f25. Sorry for the super long text and thanks again. I watched the whole video and am looking forward to using your setup as soon as my new laptop comes. I have the k can cable with ethernet to DLC where i soldered the jumper between the two pins. I Think 15 to 3. I forget the exact 2 pins but is this the correct cable for your setup here? Thanks again!!

After you add all the Dayton files to the BMW tool will they automatically be on winKFP?or would I have to import them from the BMW tool?

At the 15:20 mark, don't forget the daten files come down as ZIP files (compressed); they will need to be extracted to your desired folder before you click on "Select SP Source."

This helped well but was going to ask how can I reset a short circuit on the headlight unit? I bought a used one in good condition and put new Ballest and module and bulb but it works but the xenon main ds1 flickers in a sec and shuts off... I have a display warning on my dash board...... my left passenger works fine so I thought it was the modules and ballest I bought I switched then and they work fine on my passenger one think it can be a short circuit that needs to be coded to my vin? And volt output

I've been trying to configure ISTA but I'm having a hard time, can you please make a video covering how to get ISTA started. I've downloaded the 92GB file on an external hard drive and ran the installer not sure what to do after that but it's not allowing me to use a lot of options on the app

That ISTA install will need licensing or some sort of activation? Or as simple as running that installer.exe?

This worked great the first time. I had to get a new computer and now can’t get the coding tool to accept the Daten files. Keeps saying they are not valid daten files. Stumped

on 2nd attempt after full undelete and re-download... (uughh), and SP-Daten files will not update in Coding Tool..?? I downloaded the files into my "dowload" folder (same as Velis had in his yt vid), but when going to select for "SP-source" in Tool, there are no folders in folder they are saved at, and files are still in .rar format..??? either Velis skipped a step, or i am missing an instruction or inference on file extraction/formatting or something..???
