Looked like a great weekend away. No dramas getting out of camp this time which I’m sure helped;) Thanks for another video Shad, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Mate, I only found your channel a month ag0 - the more i look at your rig the more I see all the well thought of little bits and pieces with practicality. Love the type of camping youre doing with natasha and we hope to be looking at an Ultimate later this year so we can start our journey! Stay safe!
sorry for the late reply this comment was in my held for review folder, thanks for watching and we are glad your enjoying the content. you'll love the ultimate when you get it such a great camper that you can pretty much take anywhere as you've seen. we have had a few 4wds over the years so we know exactly what we want in a car now. welcome aboard and thanks again for tuning in. 🤠👍
Magic little spot mate! Can't wait to get down that way over the next few months... some cool crisp morning I'm sure! Perfect camping weather! Nice work mate, Rob 👍
Another great video Shad I like the way you keep it nice and simple, I have ordered the Snow Peak fire pit you use because it looks like a good piece of kit, not cheap but looks like it will out do my life. Still no rod it that creek LOL. Blessed with no rain but then again don't mind the rain as long as your not packing up in it. Keep them coming mate and one day we might see you on the track.
Thanks mate, you will love the fire pit mate , great bit of kit and it will definitely last. I could see some little trout in that stream so there would definitely be some decent one around i reckon. Definitely come say gday if you see me round 👍👍.
Yeah mate , get out there. Lots of spots in that area. I’m keen to head back as well . I wanted to stay but Natasha dragged me home kicking and screaming, apparently i need to work or something 😂😂😂
Bloody nice one mate, lovely little spot indeed, good find 👍👍 I like those chicken things, might have to grab some next time we’re at woolies Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Thanks for the support mate , yeah we been trying different stuff in the camp oven Its been fun although a fee disasters but we just have a laugh, yeah that spot was a cracker 👍👍
@@shaddonaghue I loved the “oh well, we’ll eat the potatoes separately” 🤣 absolute gold mate ... but it all ends up in your stomach anyway so 🤷🏻♂️ My camp oven would be my most favourite bit of gear I reckon, love it. And that solar panel mate, cranking out some good amps so thanks again buddy 👍👍👍
1:34 That's a good idea for dust removal. I already have a Dewalt electric chain saw, I should pick up a small blower that could share a battery. Great video by the way.
Hey Shad, rippa little spot by the looks, classic shower scene 😂😂 We just done a similar trip Sunday and Monday at McIntyre hut not far from there, had the whole joint to ourselves, amazing what a couple of nights in the bush can do for ya hey?
Enjoy you camping trips the wife and I are going to do some of them as well.just wondering were did you get the taps from for the jerry cans cheers in advanced
My gosh that is a cool camper. A palace compared to the iKamper 😂 another awesome vid Shad, we always expect the worst of the weather when we camp too. It’s been relentless this past year.
@@shaddonaghue it’s even better when the sun comes out when you’re certain it’ll rain. You start to think you’re cursed hahaha. So glad you got a sunny one in👌
This will be great, was in Bondo just Sunday Monday, gave a fella a scare when he came up a steep bit of Broken Cart to find my van parked up clearing branches off the track.. he asked if it was 2wd.. 🤣 Edit: cracked up when the missus covered you in dust, glad you left that in the edit :) great audio on this one! We had lunch at the same spot though you've gone much further in for your little nook.
Hi mate In the front i have superior hyperflex radius arms and psr 2 inch flexy coils, extended brake lines and relocated abs lines, running a superior 2.0 remote res 5 inch shock. Sway bar still connected
Hey Shad you’ve got me thinking about camp chairs and how much room they take up. Did you consider the Mountain Designs version or do you think the Helinox is the way to go? Cheers Todd
Event Name Bondo State Forest: Partial Road Closure Notice - Nottingham Road Start Date 5 Dec 2023 Description Due to the structural damage of a log bridge over Oaks Creek, Nottingham Road will remain closed between Brindabella Road and Ridge Road until further notice. Road closure signs will be in place for the affected section of road and traffic will be detoured via Nottingham Road, Ridge Road and Brindabella Road.
Love the look of your chairs and little table with the wood on top. One Drifta chair... the other Helinox??? Little table just a stool with wooden board thrown on top?
Yeah it is, i still prefer the helinox while Natasha loves the drifta recliner. And yes the table is a cheap stool with a chop board i made on top. I have another video coming out talking about all the gear we use . Stay tuned 😂😂. Thanks for watching
@Shad Donaghue also another question (I love getting ideas from other campers in how they do different things), I had kind of given up on the cast iron pan thing because of not only weight, but because it is such a dirty thing to store. Just wondering how and where you store yours? In the Ulti or in the car?
@@lynnelivingstone825 just store it on top of my toolbag in drawer, but yes i know what you mean but i just keep coming back to cast iron for fire cooking. I am going to look for a canvas bag for it though as I would prefer it in the camper. I did keep it in the box it came in for ages until it deteriorated
We're heading south at the start of May. Was planning for Newnes, but this morning i saw your video of the free camp at Sofala on the Turon. It looked like a great spot
@@northerntrucker72 so we spent Easter at paddys river dam in bago state forest and had a few mornings negative 2.5 , it was chilly but really nice days
