A classic. I've always thought the Ultimate is kind of like a ride designed by someone who has never ridden a roller coaster themselves. The pacing is so weird, the lift hills so incredibly slow, and then all that weird flatness in between.
First time I rode this I was laughing like a maniac at the second half I was crying, I don’t know why but I had sooooo much fun. I really want to ride this again.
Went on this when I was 9 and had to go to therapy for a few months to get over my nightmares. Aha I sat front seat with my mum and was crying the whole time. Found this on ride video and I'm thinking "damn. I actually survived that?" I remember it thrashed you about quite a lot and that I had bruises afterwards! Ahaha
I went on today! It's Sunday 28th August 2016 and at first I wouldn't go on but , in the end I loved it! My favourite part was when it went on the second drop down into the trees and sideways.
My fave roller coaster! We used to go on this lots of times when our kids were little. My wife asked me wot I wanna do for my birthday at the end of September. Well, she aint gonna be too pleased when I tell her I wanna camp near the park for the weekend and have my tooth fillings shaken loose on The Ultimate. She will come off that ride battered and bruised! Hope my bones are not brittle.. . I will soon find out tho. Cant wait!! (For the ride. . . not to see if my bones are brittle!)
How did you make no noise on that second corner in the woods?! To this day it is the most (clinically) insane element of any roller coaster I've ridden - and I love it. Even though it technically gives me minor whiplash. Worth it, oh yes. Going on 27 April with my mate - he's a "GP" and won't know what hit him haha! :)
Hazel Animates yeah the max height is only something like 100ft , you'll be fine! Just brace your self for those rapid transitions, they are really bumpy and rough!
I was sat next to it yesterday, eating my lunch and it was closed due to coronavirus unfortunately. But it looked terrifying Also, 100th comment! Edit: thank you for liking!
Ride clanks along the track and clinks up the hill. You're begging to get off but there is no turning back. You're heart pounds and you think you're going to throw up. Suddenly the ride pauses to a dramatic halt and you're heart stops. Every living soul doesn't dare to make a single word. The roller coaster slithers down slowly. Then stops... OH FUCK IT BROKE DOWN! SON OF A BITCH!
I went on this when I was 9, bad memories of sitting all the way at the front ::shudders:: Plus, when I was on, the woman behind me had a panic attack going through the tunnels, she must have thought she was gonna hit her head...
Great POV! Could I please use this in a video of my bucket list coasters? I will provide you with full credit for this footage and include a link back in the description.
The Ultimate. If you haven't ridden it, you HAVE to. The drops at the back are AMAZING, like Shambhala in the way they pull you down them.. crazy stuff. But what about right at the front? What does that ride like? Well, as it's such a long train, of course when you're at the bottom of the drops and you hit THOSE turns in the woods, at the back you've lost some speed. At the front, you experience full speed at the bottom of the drops, and accelerate at FULL FORCE into the corners. And the result is RIDICULOUS. Okay, the first turn in the woods. Very forceful. But the second - look how tight it is. It's amazing it's actually allowed. It feels dangerous. You don't feel "safe" like you might do on a scary B&M.. you feel like a sack of potatoes in a washing machine. It makes you go "ARGHHHHH!!!!! F*CKKKKK!!!" It is a turn, that despite how many times I tried, you CANNOT brace yourself for because it will always win. And it's fantastic. I wear my pulled muscle in my back with pride, but I suppose I shouldn't have gone on the front 3 times in a row.. I've seen some comments about 9 year olds that have ridden the front row. Kudos to the lot of them. Because after nearly 100 white knuckle roller coasters under the belt, The Ultimate is the only ride where I HAVE to hold on for DEAR LIFE, every time I ride it.
Going here Monday for a school trip. Shawn I don't like extreme butterflies on rides but don't want to bottle the ride, which seats would you reccomend sitting in for not to extreme butterflies. Would love a reply, thanks
The lift hills have got to be the slowest lift hills I have ever ridden. With the exception of Pinfari roller coasters. By, the way, did you know the ultimates manufacturer was the British Rail?
Yeah i know, just thought thered be a proper reason. Just to be sure, my sister said the same thing too. Also if you dont mind could you please checkout my last video. *****
