Been following this for a while and it's cool to actually see where it's at! I know direct solder boards can be a pain for a lot of people and cause issues like the one you had but I personally have more luck with them than wires loll - glad it all worked out, beautiful build!

Capacitors are banged up try to replace them that’s why it takes so long for the screen come too

Bruh you are a madman - I can't believe you got it done - and the mod itself is awesome GBC in the best form factor of the Gameboy line

Coolness, I sold my Pocket (they're expensive but this one was cut which is the most extreme console mod I've seen :-)) coz' I'm more of a Game Boy Color form factor guy :-) I love the feel of the Game Boy Color and look among the Game Boys which is quite ergonomic too, though the Advance and original DMG may be the most ergonomic. God bless Game Boyers.

Perhaps the induction battery mod will also work as well in here. The gameboy pocket being flat it makes it even more relevant with this pocket color.

Awesome build man. I happen to have a gameboy color board where the bottom half is heavily corroded so I figured the poco build would be perfect.

Aren’t you suppose to sand the edge of the board you just cut to prevent the layers from shortening ?

I just added a funny playing battery to my working gameboy color that had already been modded and the battery works. It turns on and the opening screen pops up but now no cartridges work.😢

running eneloop batteries myself! will try out some ladas next
