Awesome video Tim! I definitely loved your appearances on the FungBros, but you definitely have me pleasantly surprised that you can dominate on your own as well. I'm sure the FungBros will really miss ya, but I was curious about what gave you the idea to start your own channel? Also, did you go to film school in order to be the DP for the FungBros?
Thank you so much for this video! You are so dope and I love your hair bro! I was having trouble deciding between purple or pink, but I'm going to go with the pink. :) It will work nicely for my medium-medium long faux hawk.
Tim, keep up the videos! I just clicked on your channel from the Fung Bros yesterday and I am liking the videos! For your next video, you should maybe do a spring/summer outfit guide or lookbook. Thanks!
Some steps you need to know about before using gatsby. Like anything preparation is key, the key step before applying it is to thoroughly clean your hair with shampoo. That way your hair is light and easy to maneuver. After molding your hair with gatsby, use hair spray to allow your hair to set in place, but don't use cheap hair spray-use one that has strong hold without shine.
Just found out this video and this is great! Your review about these products is very informative. I just have a question for my hair, I have a long and thick hair. My haircut is disconnected undercut just like yours(I guess) and I'm trying to style it to slick back or pompadour. What product would you recommend? The Wild Shake and Multiform seems good but I would like to personally hear from you. Thank you and keep it up!
soooo informative... thank you for this video... thumbs up from me! i feel like am done with pomade, and looking for wax or clay, or whatever.. since i have a long undercut hair... well, in your opinion, my hair is long and very straight, i like to style slick back with volume for my hair, but i want it to look natural with a little shine, yet has a strong hold, and moldable, since i'm going with sportbike all day, so after put off my helmet, i need to mold my hair back easily with my hand, which one do u think suits the best for me?
I use Suavacito from Santa Ana when my hair is short. If I have longer hair that I want moldy and messable, I like matte strong Gatsby. I discovered this gunk in Thailand and they were CHEAP. A bit more expensive in the USA, and I have to go to Mitsuwa to buy it.
Hey, Tim. I have super straight and stiff hair that's really thick and long. I like to pull my hair back and when I do, I have lots of volume which I seem to like a lot, but problem is, because I feel like because I have super thick hair, the hold wears off after a while. I use the grey Gatsby colorway.
i recommend you the menkoi matte wax/creative clay. menkoi is basically like gatsby but its made of organic ingredients. it's a really good product and it smells really good
i have the green 1...does smell good...cant do a comb slick back look..my hair not as long as yours.. how did u cut the side on the side of your head?the line..?
I got some long experience with hariwax and have been using hairwax for quite a while, all sorts like DI:FI, fudge, ID hair, Maria Nila, Shu Uemura, American Crew and the list can go on. I usually go for the spiky messy look. Which is why gatsby eventually caught my attention. After finding out that the pink was maybe a little way to hard i'm now using the purple one, it's great. I can actually do whatever i want with the purple one and still reform it during the day. But there is one problem i find with the gatsby product. It's hard to wash out, after using my hair feels frizzy and dry. And at the beginning i had it hard to find out if it was the wax or something else. After my visit at Tony and guys hairsaloon, they said that my hair took a beating beacuse of the wax that i was using, as i expected. They used deep shampoo to try to remove the wild shake that i had in my hair at the moment, but even after deep shampooing they didn't succeed to wash it out. I love this product considering that it smells good, and you can do whatever you want with it, but when it comes to if it's the best choice for your hair, I'm really confused. My hair does feel different after using gatsby products and not in a good way, and it's really a struggle to wash it out. If anyone has any thoughts or opinions regarding this please respond.
Thadnill that's just the purple gatsby ik it dries so quick. the other gatsbys actually make my hair feel more moist especially blue, green, and pink and they give me time to style my hair cos they take a while to dry. i rly love the pink one why didnt it work for you? i think green has similar holding power to purple and has the best texture and smell so u shuld try that.
I have actually never tried the Green one considering that i have thick hair and need something that can make defined boundles and hold out the day, but the pink did overall worked great but my only issue were that i found it way to struggling to wash off, which the purple were at least a little more forgiving on. But how's the green one according to you when it comes to making hair boundles and texture that lasts out the whole day? You really think that the green have the same hold as the purple one? If that is true it sounds great, I have pretty think straight asian like hair
1 fingertip lasts the whole day for me. green "air rise" is really great for creating layers and floaty ふわふわ texture (idk english) and it just takes me like 10 sec to put it on. it makes hair bundles by itself naturally so thats great. i never had problems with how hard it is to wash off cos i exercise a bit and my hairstyle would still look great even with sweat or when i go to the pool or something.
Tim, I have very soft hair that is about 4-5 inches long on top, and I'm trying to get the swoop or a natural combover/combback, but I never have enough volume to my hair. Any tips?
Add some product into your hair when its wet, then blow dry it into the style that you want. Doing that and adding hairspray usually gives me some volume.
Ya Boi hey instead of blow drying your hair use a towel till it's like semi wet and then use product and play with your hair a little then style it that's what I do
