The Radial IceCube™ Balanced XLR Line Isolator is an ideal problem solver for today's AV technicians and audio engineers, providing an easy way to insert an isolation transformer into the signal path to remove hum and buzz from ground loops, with a ground lift switch for additional noise reduction.
Simply connect it between any two line-level devices, such as a mixer and a powered speaker, or a crossover and a power amp.
The IceCube will eliminate ground loop noise without limiting the audio bandwidth or introducing phase shift, and it can handle hot signal levels without distortion.

Hi there, referring to the diagram on Radial's site www.radialeng.com/product/icecube, you can connect any line source with an XLR-male to the IceCube and then XLR out to any device that accepts an XLR input. We recorded this test with a Steinberg audio interface.

i use this all the time at work. i do events. a lot of hotels have bad AC with ground loops. these kill it every time.

Hi there, if you're purely looking for line-isolation function rather than a DI, then yes its a worthy replacement.

Under normal circumstances, you can just leave the ground lift on. Only lift it when necessary.

@@MINGJIAN33 correct. Activate ground lift when you notice ground hum that's coming from a venue's electrical line.
