Sub = “Substitution.” The 5 (5th degree of the scale) to 1 (1st degree of the scale) is a very important movement in any chord progression. The 5th is also the dominant chord of any scale. For example, in the key of C_Major: C(1)D(2)E(3)F(4)G(5)A(6)B(7) the G is the dominant chord that wants to resolve to the C.

Theory is amazing and very useful! But it can be a bit overwhelming when starting. I would say watch a bunch of producer melody tutorials and then take a day or 2 out the week to learn theory on the side! There are a bunch of free tutorials and even courses on RU-vid

Man can you make a video about ""The minor chord"? I did not quite get it, like two and three fours is equals to a number I probably don't even know. So I'm having a hard time placing down the notes using this math equation. Major is easy, no math you just go big gap, small gap. Please make an informational video, 10minutes should do it.
