I'm a zombies player from way back, since WAW. My only issue with Firebase Z is how difficult it was to do the defense round on solo once you're at the zombie health cap. I simply couldn't put out enough damage, I would have to switch to ring of fire to get it done or just lose the generator
Same here, I thought that was incredibly annoying but mrroflwoffles posted a vid on how to deal with that. Buy stoner63, upgrade to max level (and level 5 tier obviously) and put cryofreeze ammo mod on it. Spam where the boss spawns as it is spawning in, it should still be able to take damage and the stoner63 melts the boss’ health for some reason apparently. I just watched the video the other day so I haven’t had the time to actually try for myself. If you still need more of an explanation, I would def check out his vid
What a coincidence, I haven’t played zombies since the og days of waw-bo3 and I literally just looked up a guide to Cold War Zombies to see if it’s something I’d be interested in. 3 hours ago, you uploaded a video that has me covered.
I think a large group of people really enjoyed Cold War. I think it's about the same praise as BO1. It'll have a group of haters, but, it's generally really well regarded!
As someone finally coming around to Cold War it’s nice to have such a great comprehensive guide to everything thank you, been playing my last ten something games with never upgrading my weapon rarity
I have recently got back into Cold War zombies and by far it has been such a breath of fresh air. Me and my friend started out way back when zombies was just a mini game and talked about many things that we wished would be added. And Cold War added up to every teenage idea we had to a T and has been such a blast to play. Mainly for us Outbreak is our favourite game mode thus far
I wanted to watch this video to fact check it. I've completed all the dark ops challenges and almost done dark aether on all weapons (including DLC). So glad to see new people still being introduced to the game
Yea I'm one of those new players. Wish I thought to search guides before I jumped in. Had ZERO idea wtf I was doing when I first started. Wondered why my weapon damage was non existent by round 8. Uh....upgrade my boy lol.
This is an awesome and extremely helpful succint video! I am trying to play BO3 and 4 zombies with my fiancé, but he has no experience. Is there any chance of you doing a single comprehensive video like this for those games? If you have already, I would love to watch them. Keep up the great work and have an awesome day; you're one of the only Call of Duty channels I stay subscribed to consistently.
@@jacetwardowski9558Gallo is better because it shoots faster but Hauer is stronger. You can't go wrong with either of them but I prefer the Gallo because of how fast it shoots
U speaking facts saying Firebase Z is underrated, together with Die Maschine they are the funniest map in the game to get Round 100 imo, I hate CRBR-S because you just spam an automatic pistol and I hate Forsaken itself, it's just so boring even if not for high-rounds.
Great vid! Can I just ask is it worth doing the weapon skills upgrades for shotguns? What does it mean by ‘bonus damage’? (I’m new to the game) thanks!
You'll, hopefully, get the skills upgrades for everything! It depends if you use shotguns. The bonus damage is just a damage increase. Focus your crystals on the things you use the most of, and then you can start splurging on other things to experiment with! Shotguns are amazing in Cold War :D
You just earned yourself a subscriber. This is incredibly helpful and I am gonna check more of your videos. Also I’m glad your starting to get more views.
Dude! I cant believe it never occurred to me to shoot the top of the beacon!😂 so much faster to get to levels that give more flawless crystals. Outbreak is my favorite solo game but the lower levels take like 30 minutes or more to get past just so you can play with some challenge! Thank you for that! No other video mentioned that.
@@IVIALL0Y Cold War understood how zombies works and managed to add cool features to the game along the way. Favorite game from recent games- wait Cold War is 4.5 years old now-
Cold war zombies is my favorite zombies ever, i liked the first one in world at war because it was new and i used to play it split screen with my brothers but after that i never liked them, everything was incredibly annoying, the "secrets" were clearly made just to be tedious, no healthbar, you get hit and your screen becomes red you cant see anything, only one way to play you turn around forever, you run out of ammo too fast no fun allowed, random weird bubble gums garbage , i really hated the old zombies, Cold war fixed all that garbage you can camp you can run around you can play however you want just like killing floor, the gameplay is very fluid, i had tons of fun in that game with my friends, from what i understand youtubers were unhappy with that game lol most of them just want tedious stuff so they can make guides
I think this is a very important experience to highlight. I really do think Cold War is too hand-hold-y. But... it did a great job of introducing these mechanics to a whole new audience.
@@Doughnuts "hand-hold-y" because you dont have to press x,up-down-up-crouch-x on every wall of the map to find the next step of the secret? no sorry brother but i highly disagree, i know im putting words in your mouth sorry for that but the old ones were just tedious for the sake of being tedious, the dragons /dogs for example remember how you had to kill zombies one by one and wait for it to be eaten, in cold war you just kill zombies and the dragon eat them all you dont have to wait and run around
Killing floor 2 is super fun. I got it for free and thought it would suck. Turns out is the most fun I ever had playing online. I love coop online, I dont really like pvp, so its super fun
@@kevinvolchok14 probably one of the most fun zombie games ive ever played, i used to play it with friends during confinement and we would just play all night long, i have max level medic, gunslinger, support and pyroman, whats your favorite class? mine is medic with a team but gunslinger solo. i havent played it in a while now since i dont own a ps4 but i love this game i hope they make killing floor 3 for ps5,im waiting for the good games to come out to buy a ps5
I haven't played Cold War zombies yet, but from what I heard in this video and your comment, it might end up being one of my favorite cod zombies games when I do get around to playing it (I added Cold War to my games library in July 2023 when it was one of the free PS Plus games). I too don't like the over complicated setup process and easter eggs (i.e. "secrets") that Jason Blundell put into the game mode in Black Ops 2 ,3, and 4. I still have fun with those games, but at the end of the day, cod zombies is, and has always been a horde mode/survival mode. I play zombies to kill zombies, not to scan every nook and cranny of the map just to find items that are essential for survival, and I couldn't care less about story in a horde mode/survival mode. I prefer the so called Aether story the way it was back in World at War and Black Ops 1, where story wasn't the main focus and it was just secondary. Back then, the story was complete sci-fi and all conspiracy, which I prefer over the mythic creatures (apothicons, dragons, etc) and multiple dimension stuff Blundell introducted.
I covered that topic here! Check it out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E4hAiJkLRts.html But... In few words. 1. 4 Player Outbreak 2. 4 Player Round Based 3. Single player Onslaught Containment 4. Round 10, then quit Hope this helped!
I think cold war zombies had the chance to become absolutely great, but a couple things like nerfing XP in the higher rounds and the general lack of stuff to do in the maps hold it back for me. Really fun to just jump and kill some zombies though. Edit: Really cool channel you've got really succinct and to the point, keep it up!
I think BO3 zombies are goated, Shadows of Evil and Der Eisendrache and Revelations were amazing fun to play, i just think people weren't ready for all the little side missions they added (rituals ect) and threw them off a bit, but overall it is one of the best
The first few minutes explained why I have no interest in Cold War zombies. I wish they’d go back to Black Ops 1 and 2 style maps, without all the cluttered UI elements of these newer games
@Doughnuts I haven't tested it in a while but I regretted it when I did tier 5. Used to drop one and get a whole train and it would break armor then destroy bosses but now it like stuns them and leaves some health bar.
Good vid mate, got to keep these custom zombie map vids coming aswell. You gotta give project Viking immortalis a go and give a review on scale with leviathan
I think the wonder weapon quest for Firebase Z is imo the most tedious of the bunch. You need a blueprint, an eyeball you got to find, you got to make sure you pick up the part after scanning the eyeball, make sure the Mimic doesn't die out of bounds to get the part from it, wait for Manglers to spawn which is around round 15, make sure you pick it up as soon as you kill it, memorize a circle stopping on the shaded parts of the computer screen, go to the dartboard, get that part, charge up the RAI K 84 magazine, and then build it. See how annoying it is? Just do the trial machine and get Legendary reward for a higher chance and you can skip that altogether.
It does feel like a lot... but because it's in Cold War. It doesn't feel too overwhelming to me. It's a fun little collect-a-thon type thing which always shows up in zombies at some point.
@@Doughnuts Had the parts despawn and respawn after Special kills, it wouldn't feel impossible at times. I've tried completing it in public matches, and I could not find the one piece for the wonder weapon. I don't know why it's designed that way. Feels like an oversight, but at least it's not a buildable only weapon.
In the lower worlds, knifing works quite well. Once you're world 20 or 30, knifing it won't work as well. The beacon gains more health the higher you go, making it harder to skip rounds.
I wouldn't say there is a strongest. But some master crafts have integrated elemental damage like an ammo mod. That could be a good thing, it could be a bad thing. In terms of attachments, I couldn't tell you, but usually they aren't the best. Usually just look cool. As I said in the video though, most weapons will do you just fine for most of the game! Hope this was useful!
@@Doughnuts ah ye thats what I was thinking cause I saw the blast o matic with the brain rot toxin and was like (p2w)? but if its just for looks then ig ill do any.
I remember when Black Ops zombies was much simpler. Too many extra steps here. I despise the level system for perks, pap, weapons, and etc. It really does seem like it could be an absolute master piece but there is just so much that separates it from that for me. I hope they step back and get rid of some of these things or adapt them into something better for Bo6. And for Bo2 I really hope they don’t tamper with anything and rather just make the game visually better.
coming from a bo2 player I can say that it's not that difficult. Play a few games and u gonna understand everything mate. and tbh it makes it even more fun 2 play that way
People dont like change and irs different, i originally didnt like it but i quickly changed my tune, i like all the customization, just wish i could play the iconic maps tho
Hi bro you just got a new sub and thank you I'm getting the game tomorrow at GameStop and I allready have war zone so I will mostly play zombies on this
Wow. I just bought cold war for thr first time. And first thing I went to was zombies. Die machine. And I have to say. I fuxking love it so far. I heard so much shit talk about this game. But I really like it. There's alot I don't understand yet. Like majority of it. Been running around looking for self revive but can't find it. But found juggernaut, and the power. But thank you for video. Because I just heard you say something about self revive. And just found out Bout armor. Shits pretty cool. And really good graphics and physics of the zombies getting shot
Believe me, it is not nearly as complicated as you think. It's really fun! Please let me know if you have any questions. Or join the discord! I'm more active here!
@@ismaelbouissef4436 yeah I tried it and got Die Machine fully learnt already, helps that its a small map. the mechanics seem more complicated then they actually are once you play the game
@@LankyPlayz I guess your probably on PC. I don't know anything about it because I play on the PS4. No problems there with hacking. But I had a problem that the game would often crash
I’m my opinion Black Ops 1 zombies was the greatest zombies game of all time. I feel like this zombies is just far too “futuristic” if you real and it just kinda ruins it. I do not have Cold War but the videos I’ve seen for Cold War and MWIII zombies I just feel like it’s been ruined and is way too hard to comprehend and remember. I wish it could go back to the original
Interesting. I've not heard that. This actually takes place really close to BO1's time period. It has a LOT of BO1 weapons too! And it really isn't that complicated, in fact, it's known for being the easiest zombie experience. But... to each their own. It's a VERY different game for sure!
The intro of the video shows the dark Aether side of Die Maschine. You have to go through the Pack a Punch quest to see it. It's incredibly easy, the game walks you through everything! 😁👍
In the menu? Or in-game? It's in the bottom right side of your screen, it's the thing in the circle. You get kills to charge it. You have to press either both of your bumpers to activate it, or whatever it says underneath it to activate it...
Pretty sure my game is broken, even when I exfil I don’t keep my crystals or anything so I can’t even upgrade my perks, someone help! Anyone else having this issue??
thats the thing i don't like, there is to much nonses in the game, why not keep it nice and simple? no weapons with tiers, and other random upgrades. stashes and so on, and now zombies have armor and other things ... I like the old Zombies better.
Different strokes for different folks. I love how much stuff there is to do. I find it really rewarding in the moment. There are other things about classic zombies that I very much miss, in fact I think that will age Cold War poorly. But, I appreciate the attempt at innovation here!
Hey man I’ve been an avid Cold War zombies player but have no one to do the Easter eggs with lol. If anyone can help me complete the last two maps I’d appreciate it and I’m also not complete ass and can actually play a high round game Lmk
It's been a long time since BO1... Weird you stumbled on this video... I think zombies has done some amazing things in video game history. Shame you don't enjoy it, but, to each their own!
