The EQ tip was such great info! My whole time mixing I've been under the impression and have been told you should roll off as much low end as possible thank you so much for this!
The YT algorithm brought me here. And I'm thankful it did ! Never thought of boosting any of the low end. All the videos I've watched had taught to cut those areas because of mud. But my vocals are very thin and those simple boosts made all the difference as well as the heavy compression on a duplicate track. Thanks !
Late reply here but I love to hear it! There is a lot of info out there, and while I do talk about cutting low end (generally) - it’s important to discern and know when to NOT cut, or when to boost after cutting.
