Île aux Cerfs (the French term means "deer island") is an 87-hectare island east of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. It is located within the coral reef that surrounds large parts of Mauritius near the village of Trou d'Eau Douce. The island is uninhabited and can only be reached by boat from the main island of Mauritius. With its fine white sandy beaches, Île aux Cerfs is very popular with tourists and locals. 800 to 1000 guests visit the island every day. Especially on weekends there are many visitors.
