This could be the most impressive guide to a hero content ever released for Flesh and Blood, and it's for Kano, the game's toughest hero to understand and play effectively. Terrific content, thanks for putting it together.
just started my time into learning kano by watching you and WeMakeBest videos and i can say the passion you guys have for this hero and the results ive seen you guys pull let me know im in good hands to learn
TY very much, i stated Kano this week and have so much fun! I get second place in amory but i feel that if i was better player, i should win the final game and get the 1 place! This vídeo help me a lot and i ansious to put in practice!
This is great! I definitely feel in my experience with Kano knowing when u just have to go for it before it is too late when u don't have the combo in hand is probably the hardest part to learn!
Yes I think it would be good to cover all the Kano cards in the future, or as much as possible with some depth. It really is meta and build dependent too. Match ups are also something I'd like to cover.
Thanks for the info sir! Took a mildly tweeked version of this list (i just subbed in an extra dampen and another blue scalding rain in place of the EoO) and went 4-0. Very fun to play!
So glad yall came out with this video. Ive been trying to pick him up for a while. Only CC deck I have is boltyn so I've been trying to spread out to other heros.
Very interesting list. Personally I've cut the eye and the Emeritus Scolding for the 3rd scalding rain and foreboding bolt. I like being able to do the blazing combo 100% being able to know I have a 1 cost so I can safely pop equipment. Then again they are very powerful. Great deck tech, keep up the great work!
So glad I ordered most of these cards already. I feel everyone will be on Kano now hahaha amazing video. Everything feels easy to understand. (Until I sit with the actual deck 😂)
I noticed the audio stops syncing up with your mouth partway through the video, but ignoring the technical whatevers, this was a really interesting insight into Kano! He's always seemed like such a scary monolith of math and knowledge but this video breaks stuff down really well. Thanks. :)
Found it! Looks like two of the segments are a few hundredth of second out - I couldn't pick it up at first but certainly see it now. Will look into that for the next video and check some settings.
In my experience, potion of dejavu is better used when we're running less blues (30~31 blues), and it can be helpful either with aggro or control/high ab matchup. Potion of dejavu will have its best impact when we have 2 or more reds/yellows in our pitch that let us draw (tomes), opt (gaze), or extending the damage of combo line (aether flare, blazing aether, lesson in lava). Although the sideboard is kind of our personal preference, i rather have more chain lightning on my sideboard than red aether quickening. The reason is, the "go again" buff we'll get from aether quickening is only works if it's played on our turn to gain an extra action point, while chain lightning's instant buff can be used on both turn. Moreover, aether quickening needs to get buffed before it gains "go again" buff while crucible of aetherweave is more often giving buff for another crucial red/yellow cards.
Agree on Deja Vu, I have played builds with 3 pot and a lot less blues. I think its a good strategy, but again I think it takes away from the combo so you have to weigh that up. Quickening isn't played for the go again, it's never relevant tbh. It's just a card that works well with moon and can be found off Lesson easily.
Amazing guide! I just got into the game. Haven't played yet but got a couple decks and kano is one of the ones I wanna play even tho he is the hardest lol
He certainly has a learning curve, but it's kind of stagged, as in once you get past the initial understanding and basics you'll have a lot of fun and do well, then it's a climb to the next level, etc. A stepped learning I guess you could say. Welcome to the game and enjoy throwing fire at your opponents!
I think Blessing is potentially a lot better than I have thought so far. My main issue is how face up it is and allows your opponent to take advantage in those grindy match ups of you using your action point on it to keep their full hand and come back in with 5 cards of pressure to disrupt the Blessing turn - or force you to take a big hit to keep it live. I think it might actually be best vs Iyslander, but so far I have been unimpressed with the potential in grindy match ups. I think where it will shine is in combo packages or to help create windows before a wildfire combo turn. I guess in that regard one off could be an interesting thing to test!
@@ArsenalPass I find that Blessing is very strong when you search for it with Lesson in Lava. You often still strip a card from the opponents hand, and then when they take 1 damage you set it to top of deck and play it out for next turn. This then allows you to play a 2 card hand (Spindle for example) with an excessive amount of power. It definitely can create windows ahead of a wildfire turn
Yes it's a card that I talk about and think it's useful. The only issue is they it's yellow and not very effective when you need to pump and leak damage.
Have you tried Talishar into Dromai? I find since she's so red heavy losing Crucible isn't that big of a deal and it saves 3-5 sideboard slots for other matchups
At 7:15 in order to maximise draws and value, I'd Kano first, then decide what to do with the card just Kano'd, and then either play that one or Voltic Bolt first. If you play Voltic Bolt first you might end up either wasting potential draws, potential arsenal, or potential sinergies.
What do you do when the opponent plays an oasis respite on your wildfire? Do you whiff or do you go all in, using all your equipment for only 12 dmg? I feel like today, people know how to counter wildfire combos, as its actually not that hard. Ab2+OA and its basically nullified.
First goal is try to avoid that situation. It is generally pretty obvious if an Oasis is coming as not many decks can support it and it usually will be from slower decks. So you have time to find out they are playing it and they will have to hold it for you combo turn, which gives you the info (i.e. holding arsenal for multiple turns). In match ups where they can Oasis you can double Wildfire them, so stack a double wildfire turn. The hardest Oasis match up is Dromai as they sometimes play the card and then also it is harder to see coming, they are aggressive so you don't have time to play around it and they can have Sand Cover too. Oasis is good vs. Kano but its certainly not a silver bullet that every hero can play to good effect.
You can, but I don't. It doesn't help the plan of 2 card hands into a lot of match ups. I actually play them in opposite match ups basically. Aggro Flare, Grindy match ups Snapback for tome turns and bigger pop off lines
Yeah I'll have to go back to getting in some games with Talishar vs Dromai. Do you find it hard to kill with out Crucible before they get their board setup?
@@ArsenalPass nope it just my local dromai are too pro and lucky to keep lot's blue in hand also he is a really patient person. Need to get 1/2 epot out just to add more dmg and yey they usually didn't block well due to having too many red. My local dromai just a really good player. He is experienced.i grind his blue out on my turn but hey he still having 1 more blue lol. But hey ur content great ur sideboard option everything great. Always nice to see fellow kano player. Cheers
Its just expensive and alone isn't worth it, 4 resources for 6 damage or 3 for 4 damage. So you really need to pair with Stir or Blessing. I think it could be interesting with Blessing. The deck probably is very different at that point. All cards that are pretty poor with Wildfire combo
Heart of Ice is pretty interesting, I think its worth it in Oldhim if you expect a Kano meta for sure. I actually personally really enjoy the match up into Oldhim with Heart, its a very different play style.
@@ArsenalPass I play Lexi but haven’t played into enough kano to really know the match up. It’s on my list of decks to practice into alongside dromai too.
Imho i feel like its either Swell Tidings or Spindle. Post Dynasty meta it feels clunky. Would never play ophedia, definitely the worst card of the deck. DO NOT play this card.
@@ArsenalPass unless there’s something im missing. If you don’t have lesson and you are trying to combo off because of clock, there’s a chance you might lose the game on the spot if first kano trigger reveal Eye on top
@@mathieucharland8925 you are Lesson combing majority of the time, so it comes up almost never, epot not likely. But yeah, there's a small chance. For most match ups I think the power massively outweighs that.
