You are so vreat young man, I am 54 and pretty sure still I can learn moving on skating but understanding I need to get back my balance and falling techniques as the main skills to get into.great explanation
From a younger skater to former football player getting back into skateboarding. These videos right here are going to help accelerate my progress 10X . Thank you for putting these together 🙏🏾🙏🏾
awesome video-right at the start i could tell it would be a bunch of new information that i haven’t heard in other manual focused videos. during those periods where you don’t always SEE the progress happening doing these types of things makes me feel so much better that i’m chipping away. THANK YOU!!! 🫡🖤🖤🖤
Ha, guess I was right doing them sidehops all summer long! Still can’t manual for shit but I can pistol squat on each leg which is better than nothing😅
You meant kinesthesia. This is your sense of where you are positionally. You need to add more detail to your exercise explanations as well. For instance, in your side plank you should be explaining that every muscle in the body should be tensed. Special attention should be made to keep the spine neutral. Many people have a tendency to bend slightly at the hip. If this is happening, make special effort to tense the glutes and drive the hip into alignment.
Love this content. For the balance exercises where you said to keep the other leg still and balance with your top half, in that case putting a loose belt or an exercise band hoop around your two legs forces your legs to stay still and makes you focus on using your top half
Yeh dude great comment! A band round the legs is something I'll often do for these exercises. It simulates being on a board a bit more too with the added tension 🙌🙌
47 years old and I am realistically limited physically by what I can do. Big stairs, loading docks at this point in my life are out of the question. Manuals on small pads are perfect!
Recently been messing around with the angle of the back foot and finding different ways to manual that I hadn’t understood before. Just got stuck in one foot placement and my manuals suffered because of that
love these videos! so helpful to break down tricks mentally for me. i wish thiskind of content existed when i started skating 20 yrs ago. i would be so good by now lol
