The ULTIMATE Guide To Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in Disney World 

Might be a silly way to justify the cost (see girl math), but if you're local and get a huge bag to load up on candy, you can use that to pass out at Halloween. They pass out the good stuff and you can get like $50 worth of candy!

I want to go to Disney world so bad for these holiday times. I feel like Halloween or Christmas would be awesome there

I went last year 2 days before Halloween and I thought it was pretty fun and cool. The fireworks display, being able to get on rides while everyone is gone and also candy by the barrel was well worth it! I wanted to go again but I'm already going to Oogie Boogie Bash on Halloween night.

I remember taking both of my kids years ago to the not so scary party. The prices were significantly lower back then.The party has added in a stage show that did not happen back then.

Definitely a one and done kind of party. I’ve been to it more than once now and feel like unless you really care about getting a ton of candy..you don’t get much for your money. I get it special shows and fireworks and characters. Just has never seemed enough for me. And I feel like they sell way more tickets than they should. Back when they first started these I feel they limited way more and it was a great experience. My advice: if you are spending money on any after hours or seasonal event..make it Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! At least that you get cookies and hot chocolate and a beautiful atmosphere. Plus it’s a way cooler fun evening!

Wow, using scoops to distribute candy at the treat trails- that’s genius! Here at DCA for Oogie Boogie Bash, they literally give you 1 piece of candy- maybe 2 if you’re lucky. 🤦🏽‍♂️

I’m going this year. I’m so so excited😭

I have to laugh on the candy 🍭 that’s a joke 😂 I went last week it was nothing like these bloggers say. It was a line a mile long at each one ☝️ they only give you one ☝️ piece not a handful. I ended up in a line by accident. The kids all had empty bags. So these bloggers lie. It was so packed at this event. If they say it is less ppl, it wasn’t. I waited over an hour to see Pooh for a pic. We just happened by it after the Pooh ride and hopped in line. But you don’t want to spend the whole night in lines. We just hit the rides and it seemed we all went in a circle, to go from ride to ride. If you don’t get to the parade in time, you won’t see it. The castle show was 5 min and that was a bummer. But I won’t do this again next yr. I live here and this is as a total let down.

Hopefully going to the party on 9/10 if it doesn’t sell out before this Tuesday lol. Can’t wait, it’s been a couple years since I was there in the Fall. Thanks for the vids as always!

As long as I live I will never understand the Disney exclusive popcorn bucket craze.

We went for the first time last September and we had a great time. However, the party exclusive merch was sold out within an hour and a half, the best treats were also sold out before it was even dark out and Pirates of the Caribbean was closed. There were also not nearly as many characters out as they claimed would be. We are going again this year and it looks like it’s going to be better so I hope it is.

Just wanted to know if parking is free for the event or if we pay out of packet and if so how much? Going Oct 3 for the first time w/ my son and I am super excited!

We went last year. There weren’t anything close to the amount of Halloween treats they have this year. We went in September and it was still filled to capacity so just so many people! It was difficult to find a spot for the fireworks to see the castle show. We enjoyed the parade and stage show but after the stage show they didn’t put any lights back on so it was pitch black when everyone was leaving their spots for the show and i tripped on someone’s empty stroller! We loved the real pirates in the Pirates ride. Seems so much more fun this year though with all the extra special food items and characters which we didn’t see too much last year since lines were very long.

I’m going for the first time in sept and I have an early dinner reservation at 415 at skipper canteen and for the allergy tokens you can get them at each spot ? I’m lactose intolerance and can have most candy with a pill but won’t be doing a lot of that. I’m hoping to meet stitch and Winnie the Pooh crew. This was well done.

If I have a day ticket to magic kingdom and a ticket for the Halloween party, can I ride Tron twice that day using the virtual que? Or is virtual que limited to once per day? I am essentially trying to ride Tron once during the day and once at night.

Are these events worth it for short ride times? I am mostly interested for the rides , don’t really plan on watching the parades and shows but trying to get on rides with shorter queues.

I'm going Oct. 19 I got my ticket as soon as they went on sale. I'm bringing my own bag to get more candy. I'm not meeting any characters. I sure hope it won't be crowded or rain. Last year in Oct, for a week it just rained about an hour in Magic Kingdom. I hope in the evening it won't be too cool. Heat doesn't bother me too much. The event is actually 5 hours and not 4.

What are the vegetarian options for food during the party?

We’re not into Halloween and my kids are scared of spooky/Halloween stuff (like ghosts, etc.) and we are NOT into Hocus Pocus. So we’d probably skip out on all the entertainment unless the fireworks aren’t specifically Halloween themed. Would we be okay doing the Halloween party or should we definitely skip it? Our only reason for thinking of going is for the rides, rare characters like 7 dwarfs and Gaston, and extending our already short MK day while we’re there. Unfortunately, there’s not another day we could do MK without the party that evening. So we’d miss out on several park hours unless we do the party too.

Is there anywhere to get an alcoholic beverage during the party?

Was not worth the money for our family. Disney once again selling too many tickets. Couldn’t get into Haunted Mansion due to the longest wait times (not possible with young kids and no LL available) after waiting all week from it being closed down, so disappointed. Also didn’t see anyone else with nearly that amount of candy. Spent half an hour in line just to get coffee. Space Mountain kept having issues and was down half the night. Honestly the crowds weren’t very different from a normal Disney day. :(

The Boo Bash was a bad value for your money. Mickey’s Not So Scary was super fun and you got much more value for the $$$

Didn’t the tickets for this party used to allow for popcorn, a bottled beverage and Mickey shaped ice cream bar? I think I saw videos in the past where at least those three items were part of your ticket purchase or is that another party? I’m thinking of?

For anyone who has gone to one recently or in a past year, are the wait lines actually noticeably better than not at a party?
