Thanks, I watched your videos on memory bears a few years back. My first one was for my friends' husband passed. She had it to hug on the empty nights. Then my son passed from leukemia (at age 40) I made to for my grandsons. then my friend passed, and I was given some of her fabric and I still have her bear. I made a few more for quilt guild. Last year my daughter passed, and I made 4. two for my granddaughters and I still have 2 almost done for my other 2 daughters. I find that I would rather do a whole bear than the vest. I found a video on you tube from a guy in California that has an easy and slick way to put the vests together. My hubby wants me to use his shirts to make Memory bears for our other children. My children call him Dad. We both had children from previous marriages. So making them while we are alive would show that we are a family. Thank you again I love your videos.
Hi Whitney…I learned how to make memory bears from your tutorials. I’ve made about 20 or so. All gifted. Just want to say thank you for that RU-vid video. I did watch it many times. It meant a lot to me. And was easy to follow from a person who had done very little machine sewing, having purchased a simple Brother machine to start that journey. You inspired me. TY. Barbara
Thank you so much for walking through that it helped a lot. I frequently have problems charging the right amount and figuring out how to not be overwhelmed. I really appreciate your videos.
This was such a helpful video! Thank you for being honest and practical. I watched your wonderful how to make memory bear videos. I loved how clear your filming was and that your added your own personal touches. I am starting a quilting/memory item business from my home and I'm scared. I'm doing it scared, anyway so that I can work from home after being a teacher for 31 years. Thank you for your inspiration and confidence! Lisa from Wyoming
Awesome information. Thank you. I have made four memory bears. I followed the tutorials that you made making it easier for me. I was a nervous wreck working with clothes that I could not make a mistake on. Thanks again for sharing your experience with your business
Thank you Whitney. Some very helpful information given. I especially appreciate your advice about meeting people you don't know in a public place. It's very important we stay safe. Love your videos. Thank you.
Thank you Whitney! I make T-shirt and memory quilts and want to add memory bears as an option. Your video was very helpful. I will be re-watching your memory bear playlist and making a sample bear soon. Take care!
Thank you, I make welders hats and customers complain about paying $15. That just barely covers my material cost. China really beats the home sewist into the ground for more common products
I have made several hundred memory bears. I would not make my first one until I watched your video 30+ times. I charge $40. I can make them in about 2 hours now
Brilliant advice. I have made 6 for family and just made my first one I got paid for. Charged £25 and I paid for all material. Took 4 hours. Was worried I had overcharged…
Thank you for your great advice. I want to start making memory bears for an extra income. My test bear is already cut out. I am going to use your advice to make up my rate.
Thank you, this was very helpful. I bought the same pattern that you used in your videos but still have yet to make one. I really want to make bears for my girls with the "house coats" that I wore while I was pregnant with them. I think that would be so sweet. Maybe one day.
One of my bears went on a 3 state journey before finally getting to where it was going... lol and the original place it was going was only 2 hours away.... but we just put it down to Uncle Stanley wanting to go on one more journey
Thank you so muchfor your tutorials. Am hoping to make enough eventually for donating to Childrens Hospital/Ronald McDonald House. (Then I'll sell maybe)
