Well done George, you can always go coaching when you start to slow down, I’m like your dad been at it😊 for 45 years and still loving it, no didn’t have penny farthings then😄, gets in your blood and never goes away, best and hardest sport in the world
It’s one thing I would love to do one day 👌 😂😂 I can only imagine how much bike technology has changed in that time… I absolutely love it and can’t see myself stopping 💪
Absolutely love this 🙌 Clanfield is possibly the hardest course physically I have ever raced… enjoy 😂 I will be missing the first 2 rounds as we are away on holiday (training camp) 😂
nice info G thanks, I'm old and slow but it would be a giggle to try out CX on the hardtail! I thought the Rocket said the most important thing is to know where the coffee wagon is in the morning when you arrive at the course? cross is coming, bring on the mud - you nutters, you love it!! :)
100% it’s mega fun and everyone is super friendly at the race, I can highly recommend it 🙌 That is very true I should do a rockets version of this for spectators 😂😂
i almost fell for that, very nearly thought to myself, yeah i could do that, i'm 52 not sure i really want to start doing this now :D i love watching other people wrecking themselves
I know 80 year old's racing both Triathlon & motocross that would have a go at your comment. The Triathlete started when SHE was in her 60's. The motocrosser started when he was in his 50's. Don't let "age" control you! After all, it's just a number. :)
Excellent vid. I love to see one on what you advise for a weekly training for a CX season. The best CX channel on the UK Scene alongside Honor and Theo.
Where are you based? I can’t seem to find a full list online but off the top of my head some leagues below: South west, western, Wessex, eastern, London league, central, West Midlands, notts & derby, north west, north east, Welsh, scottish… I hope that helps I’m sure if I have missed any someone may be able to add to the list below 🙌
hey Giorgio, cheers boss. I actually knew a lot of this already but this is my first CX season. Can't stress enough how important the prac laps are - esp if you're not familiar with the venues. Will see you this weekend probs in Reading.
@@byc1013 absolutely gutted to miss it 👎 but my wife had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics she was taking and ended up in hospital 😅 not having much luck getting my season underway this year! Hope you had a good one 👍
Timely for this to pop up. Fancy a pop at some of this having never raced CX before.... Scott Scale XC hardtail.... or Heavier Sonder Gravel Bike? What do we think?
Gonna do my first cross race after a lifetime of time trial this autumn. I only have an xc mtb and gonna treat it as good training… it’s gonna hurt innit???
You will be allowed to finish the lap… they normally try and make the race 30 mins for the leader, so once the leader goes through everyone behind will get the chequered flag and finish the lap they are on👌
don't go for vittoria wet! they are SHIT!!! you will be going sideways losing both wheels! trust me, been there. I had 3 crashes in Reading CX last year on those - terrible in the corners, good on straights
I have been using them on my training wheels and yet to have any problems, it’s not been very muddy yet though and running inserts means I can run a lower pressure 👌
