About a week ago or 2, I wanted to try out Hank and see how he fares with the help of your video. Now, I reached rank 30 with him today and I can see why he is so fun for those who took the time to learn him. He is one of my favorites to play now, so I wish to say thank you for helping me understand Hank's tech and be prawn ready with him 🦐🦐

The one thing you missed (or maybe you didn’t but I did) was if you charge hank’s bubble by holding the middle of the red joystick, and releasing, it instantly aims at the enemy and explodes without having to drag the button towards

There is something so inspiring about Hank mains. Anyway, great video, I love these in depth guides and Um sad there arent more of these on YT. Something I would add is, as a con, that as a Hank main you don't just need good game sense but you need better game sense then your oponents. If the enemies have better game sense then you you'll be like a fish on land

I started playing Hank for the meme recently, trying to get his Gold 3 mastery and dare I say, I've been having tons of fun! It's sad how every now and then someone will shoot at me before the game even starts simply because I'm using him, but at least I can then prove them wrong by getting MVP with him (if the opposing team doesn't counter Hank badly, I can comfortably get about 4-5 kills and I've often gotten stats like 8-1 or similar - probably due to Hank being good at stealing kills but heh). My best game so far was a 12-1 which we somehow lost 😅 I think I more or less already do most of what you suggested, either consciously or unconsciously. I'll definitely need to check out how to charge the bubble while holding the ball, because I often do it by mistake when it's very detrimental. Thanks for putting love and passion into such a forgotten brawler! I really hope Supercell finds a way to make him and Frank more viable some day (I don't think the health regen on super + health nerf were a good move).

hi @gabeye ! you covered a lot in this video, but i thought i’d mention another tactic that gets overlooked with zoning enemies to ensure a hit. i’m sure you might already do it, but i thought i’d say it for anyone else interested: let’s say you’re approaching an L shaped bush, where your bubble can either hit the left or top side. you know someone is in the bush, like an edgar, but just flicking will only have a 50% chance of hitting them, since they could be on the other side of the bush. if you flick to the middle, they could be on the edges of the bush, still meaning you miss. this is where the tactic comes in: instead of charging the bubble behind you, you charge it on the bush, and flick to the other half, either left or top. let’s say for example, you charge on top of the left bush. as the edgar, you’d naturally move towards the top of the bush, so you don’t get hit by the bubble. as hank, flicking to the top now almost guarantees you hit the edgar, as you have “zoned” them towards the top of their bush. this may not result 100% in a hit, as they may just sit still or try to rush you, but in most cases it’s still much more effective than just flicking from behind you. this is also useful without bushes too, whenever you wanna zone enemies one way or another. it’s the equivalent of putting down tick mines at an exit to zone away an enemy into your teammate; just in this case you are walking up and zoning them directly with your main attack. hope this makes sense and hope this helps!

As a Hank main myself (Gold 3) and Phighting enjoyer, this was awesome!!

I just have mastered Hank without having his mutation, and I confirm that this video is exactly how I expect Hank mains to play this brawler and actually making it more useful than people think until getting his mastery title. The only little issue I see in this guide is that it doesn't explain the correct build, so I'll take this whole comment to explain in which situations or maps you should use a specific build and why playing with an exact build may not always be the best decision. -Star powers: Speed star power may be the most solid decision if the map is not that closed or if your enemies may have some kind of wallbreak. I recommend sometimes using your bubble to go faster through situations that require high amounts of speed, for example, disabling all three Bo's mines, then hit the balloon and go back to recover some health or to change position in case multiple enemies are approaching (remember that your bubble doesn't last forever). Shield star power may be a good decision on highly closed maps, especially if enemies don't have any kind of wallbreak. I recommend always being stuck to a wall and trying to attack without leaving the wall, only if you are close to maximum health, I also recommend using this star power when using the speed gear, it will make you fast and protected at the same time in some maps, remember this star power is effective against non-wallbreak brawlers, so you will probably use this strategy in ranked overall. Also, remember to always leave that wall if possible when using shield gadget, I'll explain it later. -Gadgets: Slowing gadget may be a solid option against very exposed brawlers or overall brawlers that are already slow by default (like 8-Bit, Lv.1 Surge, Pearl, etc.), because it will be more like leaving them completely still, which may guarantee the next bubble to hit, that can be used on multiple enemis to deal high damage or just to get extra supercharge if used correctly. I highly recommend to adjust the game controls so you can press the gadget button with the index finger ( ☝), to be able to use it while charging your bubble and make it more unpredictable than usual. Shield gadget will always be a good option against tanks/assassins, it is normally used to survive some enemy attacks where they go directly on you and you are not able to hit them because of the hitbox problem. I recommend to try to hit the enemy before they jump directly on you and then use the shield gadget, that will make you able to deal some damage and get a little bit of supercharge before recieving tons of damage, which can be enough to charge your super with attack spamming and then use your super to burst that enemy and then survive that situation (and maybe get high amounts of supercharge from your own super if you hit enough torpedos). It can also be used to resist high amounts of damage being dealt in a small period of time (like Dynamike's super or maybe even his stunning gadget). Note: One issue this gadget has is that it does not work properly when the shield frome the 1st star power, what happens exactly is that when the star power removes its shield due to leaving a wall, it really removes both star power and gadget shields without considering the gadget's shield duration, and when both shields are activated, the game for some reason gives priority to the star power instead of the gadget, which will make you 20% protected instead of 40% even considering that the gadget shield is in use. -Gears: First of all, I highly recommend to always use damage gear, because that difference of 630 damage points will determine if the amount of hits required to kill one brawler are two hits, or only one hit (for example, without the extra damage you need two hits to kill Spike without shield gear, but with that extra damage, it would be an insta kill with a whole charged attack). After that, I recommend using healing gear when not using speed gear, increasing your healing will make your healing time a lot shorter, which also means being defenceless during a few seconds less. That's why I recommend you to not interrupt your own healing stage until your health is fully or almost fully recovered. Finally, speed gear will be so useful in those maps where there are a lot of bushes and also a lot of walls, because I recommend you to use the Shield star power when using this gear, because the speed star power grants less speed than this gear, which would make the star power kind of useless. The idea is to always keep yourself in the bushes and be constantly taking advantage of that extra speed. You can use the extra speed from the gear to get closer to the enemies to hit your bubble if you can't reach them, or to dodge attacks, and therefore making your healing stage a lot easier (even though it will be slower). To summary, the best build on regular maps is: shield gadget, speed star power, health gear and damage gear. And the best build on highly closed bushy maps is: slowing gadget, shield star power, speed gear and damage gear. Oh yeah, and remember that this is just my opinion and all that stuff, but this really worked for me. Phew, that might be the longest comment i've ever made. Also, here is another useful tip for yall hank mains out there. There is another bug with hanks bubble, where if you autoaim it, it has bigger hitbox than normally aiming it, try it in training cave, and you'll be in awe, I've been abusing this bug ever since he released.
