Been using a Hennessy for about 6 years now (Along with several others). It's nice to see someone talking about a hammock that actually uses the hammock in real life, and not just as a prop for a YT Video (Like that other dude). That's a very nice under-quilt you have there, I use a Kick Ass Quilt from Arrowhead Equipment. New to your channel. I'm Liking and Subscribing. Thanks for the video.
Hi Dave, thank you so much for your comment. I too use several different hammocks, this one was my first "real" hammock and I do feel like home in it. My favorite Hennessy these days is the Deep Jungle XL, but lately I've been using the Warbonnet Ridgerunner and the Amok Draumr XL quite a bit. Hammocking is a neverending story 🤣 Thanks for subscribing 👍
@@fimbuloutdoors I have the Explorer Deluxe Zip XL, and I've also crossed over to the Warbonnet Riderunner as well. I have a Bridge Hammock group on Facebook if your interested in joining. It strictly for Bridge Hammock related information.
LOL...When I saw you to went for the double-ended stuff sack...I stack everything, including my tree straps into the one bag...the bag looks like a sausage with tails coming out both ends P.S. I just ordered from DutchWare ...my new suspension should be here any day now
@@fimbuloutdoors I'm still designing that summer hammock. I want to make it so it's up in a minute. The stuff sack part I did not yet figure out, but something like that might be a solution.
Great video and great mods! Thanks! Now im convinced I'm gonna buy a Hennessey for my walking weekend trips (no more than 2-3 times a year, but a lot of walking in Sweden). One question - how tall are you? Im conflicted if I should buy the Ekspedition or explorer. I'm 177cm and 68kg...
They're great hammocks and very comfy too. I'd go with the Explorer or any model in the XL range. The comfort level is so much higher, even for a person of your height. A hammock can't really be too long. My personal favorite HH is the Deep Jungle XL. The fabric of this model is superior to all of the others... Good luck and happy hang! Rasmus
@@fimbuloutdoors I was leaning towards the 'ekspedition'. It shaves a bit of the price - and aprox. 0,5kg on the weight. But I was concerned of the '180cm' height limit - being 177 myself. Sadly the 'used market' isn't so big here in Denmark otherwise I would have bought a XL used.
As I've stated before, I would definitely save up some more money and get the better/larger hammock. You can only spend your money once...
Thank you. Yes I run a small hobby business called "Fimbul Gear". I have a dealer (Bushcraftbutikken.dk) who sells my standard edition primarily for Warbonnet hammocks. All other models including the Hennessy models, is sold directly from me.👍😀
Hey great video. Few questions. Did you say a plastic crab on the suspension? If so what one and what is the swl? What trousers are you wearing And finally how much is this under quilt to the UK? Thanks
@@jetw1518 hi, thanks for your comment. I'm not sure what you mean by "plastic crab"..?? Must be because of my bad accent. I don't know what you mean by SWL? If you are interested in an underquilt, shoot me an email via my website www.fimbulgear.dk and I will try to figure out the shipping costs. Cheers
Fimbul Outdoors Thanks for getting back to me, sorry crab is short for carabiner I assume everyone uses it 😁 and swl is safe working load ie how much weight it can take as I’ve never seen anyone use plastic for there suspension before 👍🏻
