Oh great. I think apr uses simple interest rate while apy uses compound interest rate. I learnt that when I staked on UnidoEP and learnt they pay returns, not yield for now, so that means it's simple interest. Like you said about the maths, it's interesting, but not too difficult. There are calculators all over the internet that can help you do such maths.
So what amount of ILV do we earn and how do we calculate it? If the APR is 150%, let's say, and it never changes for this example, am I earning 150% on the SLP token, meaning if I stake 1 SLP token I get 1.5 ILV tokens in a year (1 * 150%) or is the 150% based on the ILV tokens provided to the liquidity pool? If it's on the ILV tokens and I provided 4 to get 1 SLP token, would I earn 4 * 150% = 6 ILV tokens in a year? I'm confused about what my actual return will be and how it's calculated. Any help is appreciated. Great video as always
Hey Josh you are pretty much all over it. However it does include the Ethereum. Eg if you stake 1 Eth and 10 ILV (lets assume thats equal). Then you will effectively get 30 ILV over 12 months if the apr stayed at 150% the entire time. Since you get the entire pools value which is 20 ILV * %150
My man, no financial advice but which would you rather buy land or ilv? I plan to split it but you as the numbers guy might be able to give me a bit of your impression. I want to have fun and play but also making money is nice. Any help? Plz and thank you
Your gas fee showed so high because you didn't have enough ETH in your wallet. How much did you end up paying to add liquidity on your real wallet? Might scoop up some eth to pair them with my ILV that isn't yet staked
@@Scoriox I'mma stake now, you think price will drop alot on token unlock on the 30th of June? Think I'mma lock 2 months and convert back to ETH before the token unlock, then buy back and restake if price has dropped
can i stake using my trezor ? ( maybe i can conect my trezor to metamask and stake by there ) i tryied to do with some ilv that i have in BSC but didint work , just ilv in eth chain is possible to stake ?
Quantity of tokens go up 300% and price down 90% => view in $, lost 70% in 5 mounths (PUMP & DOWN). ILV Price will continue down. I bought 42 lands and cannot play demo. Project are stopped whitout launch date. Price lands down. A lot of youtubers talking with irreal good tone....
Excellent video Scoriox. Thank you for your content. A very important video. I did something for the very first time and you made it easier to understand. ✨✨ Interested in a video on APR and APY.
I am wondering… After 3 years, will there still be a reason for people to stake in the slp pool? If not there will be no liquidity left in sushi. You said that it is important for a project that there is always liquidity of the token. So will this be problem in the future, if they don’t come up with a good reason for people to keep staking in the slp pool?
There are a variety of ways to combat this and they arent too difficult. It should be noted that the less liquidity providers there are the more money they make on transactions. Low liquidity is dangerous but if the pair has a lot of volume it will make sense for whales to provide liquidity and reap the rewards
Come on man, youtubers in the defi space need to understand when doing videos you need to include ALL information relevent to the staking process. People want to know if we need to claim any rewards and if we can restake those rewards, and if so is it done automatically or we have to manually claim and restake.. especially when dealing with ETH gas fees, people need to know how often and how much is expected moving forward while locked up in the 12 months. its an important part , so these things should be included if you want to provide a complete video for this particular Staking/Pool.... Anyone know if rewards need to be claimed manually and incur lots of gas fees continually through out the 12 month lockup ?
I apologise. You are right this is crucial information that I missed. Rewards do not compound until they are claimed. In terms of gas fees its highly dependant on how much money you have invested. I'd say with under 30k invested in slp pool claiming monthly will end up almost the same as claiming mote often. Over that quantity claiming weekly starts to yield some decent extra returns
@@Scoriox In the reward page it says "ILV yield rewards are subject to a 12 month vesting period." So is this also same for L? reward instantly claimable or vesting for 12 months?
@brianthe1998 hey did you stake in the ILV/ETH pool ? and if so did you have to pay anything close to that one fee of $165 Eth gas in the Video ? the other gas fees seemed more reasonable at between $6 to $26 dollars, but that $165 gas fee is brutal .
@@editj9568 yes i did stake in the Eth/ILV pool but i did not have a huge fee of 165. It might be a bug but it could also depend on the current gas price. I paid lower fees while the gas was around 30 gwei at the time
