I have Dior Intense, The Parfum, Eau and Homme- Givenchy Reserve Privee, Armani Code Armaf Odyssey, Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir Parfum and Black Iris- I have a few others with some Iris.. Considering Prada L'home intense and CH Iris empire-- any input you give would be great- The CH Iris Empire is spendy- but so was Dior Homme Parfum..-- My favorite. I love the reserve Privee and Homme Intense too. I wish the Givenchy would last a bit longer.. I have never smelled The Prada L'homme Intense or Iris Empire- help
The Gentleman line from Givenchy is officially my favorite line of designer fragrances. I own 4 out of the current 5 and they're all amazing. I feel like they do the iris forward fragrances the best at the designer level. Dior Homme Intense is incredible but I've not gotten the original or the parfum, they're just too hard to find in Canada. Since you love iris, Dallas, I feel like Maison Crivelli's Iris Malikhan would be right up your alley. It's my favorite niche iris scent by far.
For some time, I avoided testing the gentleman line because of the boring bottle and cheezy name. However, one day a perfume store employee offered me a paper strip with gentleman EDP as a blind test, and I immediately liked it. One of the best all-season Iris fragrances imo.
For right now, Prada L’Homme Intense is the go to for iris. Put together in a way that shows off its high quality but still can be an anytime scent. VUI is a close second, incredible performance with this one.
@@garrettmercier9186 Probably you're not a fan of Leather notes or probably how it comes off in Prada L'homme Intense. There's just something about the Intense version that screams class. I'm yet to try Ombre Leather to know the difference in the Leather though. The original smells like soap when it's cold, so I enjoy it during Summer.
My FIRST Iris experience was a 1ml decant of DHP. Immediate love. On my second bottle and simply don't care for the predecessors. Ultimate love for me.
@@mamia06 I own both, they’re not entirely the same. Armani code Parfum smells like an expensive shaving cream with a very refined quality. Givenchy Gentleman reserve prive is your typical DHI/DHP Iris scent, with added nutty accord and booze. I like it better too.
Iris fragrances are very divisive because some women tend to find them feminine smelling. I personally love Iris fragrances because I personally love powdery fragrances. This list is very comprehensive and it gives an excellent view of Iris fragrances. For the men out there Iris fragrances tend to turn women off but the fragrances mentioned in this video can make women look at you differently.

I bought a bottle 100ml of Dior homme parfum. I absolutely loved it ,Its just amazing fragrance,a month after my first dior homme parfum I bought another one.
I've smelled Tons Of IRIS Scents none can Ever Compare to "Tom Ford Noir EDP" the Most Captivating IRIS frag I have ever Smelled on My Journey thus Far. What an Outstanding scent , Dark, Musky, IRIS Heavy, Masculine, Foggy , Gloomy , Mysterious Scent .Fellas if ur Into Masculine Powders than this is A Must try soo many Deminsions to this scent . To me this Is the Best Rendition of a Dark Masculine Powder.
This is yet another excellent lineup ! Just a few words of caution, though. 1. Prada L'Homme could become too sweet in higher temperatures. 2. Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Parfum is spicy. Not exactly smooth and sleek ! Spicy ! 3. Armani Code Parfum is among the best fragrances on the market ! The best from the house of Armani ! 4. Narciso Rodriguez bleu noir Parfum could be too dusty for some. It is not powdery. It is exactly dusty. 5. Dior Homme Intense shall forever be the No. 1 synonym for an Iris fragrance. But I still cannot make my mind between Dior Homme Sport and Dior Homme Intense. As I said: excellent lineup and very good descriptions !
Dior Homme 2011/Original is the best! A real benchmark! My favorite fragrance of all time. Prada L’Homme Intense deserves a place in this list as well.

I recently got myself Dior Homme Parfum 2020 version, I thought it was going to be a toned down version... MAN this thing is nice, smells like heaven, performs like Sauvage, 20+ hours and it will still be there. But the scent is so goddamn nice, masculine, beautiful, classy.
My 2 favourite notes are iris and oud. I keep a fragrance wardrobe of 18 to 20 frags so iris fragrances make more sense than oud (occasion/versatility and cost factored in).

Didn't realize how much I like iris. Only missing Armani code parfum, Dior Homme original and CH Iris Empire. Of the 3 missing, will probably only go for the Carolina Herrera Iris Empire. Need a video for boozy ones. 😊

I have both Dior Homme Intense and Dior Homme Parfum and it's hard to tell them apart for me. If you have one you don't need to bother with the other in my opinion.
Code parfum is stupid long lasting on me. My sister and I were Christmas shopping at around 8pm and we had a couple follow us and ask what I was wearing…I put it on between 530am and 6. And it pumped far enough for them to be able to smell me. DHI is a love for me also….however, I get MUCH different performance from it depending on where I am. My work kills cologne (I owne pizzerias). This one only lasts 4-5 hours at work and 14-16 if I’m not at work. It’s the one the pizzeria kills the worst out of all of mine.
Love iris fragrances as long as the iris is on the fresh side like Prada Lhomme or Armani Code Parfum. I wish you would do a video on orris and compare it to iris because orris fragrances are a little buttery which i also like very much. Id like to find a good buttery fragrance. I dont currently own one.
I want to get into Iris scents for more date night setting but I do not know if it would work for me, does it come off makeup smelling like in a feminine way? To the point where it can come off unisex? Wierd question but I’m curious and need to get my nose on some !!

Which one would be the most unisex? I remember Dallas putting Dior homme Parfum - maybe it was another from the homme line, on his unisex list but that one is so hard to find.
@@a.s9776 very good, similar to dior homme intense but it's more creamy, woody and nutier oh and also a bit of booze. it smells classy as hell, i have the EDP as well both are good, EDP is more spicier and more i guess balsamic but both smell similar. 👌
funny thing - I am NOW on a hunt for an iris fragrance. Could you tell me more about the top 1 & 2? What situation, for what kind of personality do they suit? How much bad-boy / masculine factor is in there?
DHP is really bad boy. The leather is quite animalic, but the iris and rose are beautiful. You should really dress accordingly. Black ( leather) jacket. Black shoes. Its not for everyone! Get a tester
Hey i know you probably won't see this but if you do i just sampled and then bought 100ml of Nysos Bacchus its a new niche house with perfumers that have done stuff for de marly ect. But the point is that if you're looking to find a new house i highly recommend this one its all vegan company but i can't believe that Bacchus lasted a solid 11 to 14 hours on my clothes and 100ml bottle only cost me around 110 with tax i can send you a decant for free if interested just let me know
The new Valentino uomo intense is reformulated, yes, and it lasts maximum 1hr. The 2020 version i used to have and love was amazing, lasting a whole day. The new one is trash. I won't buy it again. I guess it's dior's/ givenchy's time to shine
DHI has fairly crappy performance on my skin, good projection for about 2-3 hours and then it becomes very faint. Don't know if it's due to my skin or a reformulation. As far as I've heard it hasn't been reformulated, only the bottle style has been changed. I'm considering buying DHP now, hoping for better performance.
Idk what you guys are talking about, this got the latest batch and I’ll spray 4-5 spray in the morning and still smell it on my skin the next morning maybe it’s just my skin but I feel this fragrances performance gets dragged a lot for no reason
I know it might sound crazy but do equal sprays of Narscio Rodriguez Bleu Noir with Green Irsh Tweed(or Cool Water). You WILL Get compliments. Ladies love it! Try it, you'll like it
performance is tricky... I keep saying Explorer lasts 4 hours (6 top) and CDNIM lasts 8 hours.. today I am wearing CDNIM, 5 hours so far... I see its there but I dont smell a lot of it... (Asad I could smell strong in 5 hours) but another day.. on the same 5 hours.. or even more.. my friend was using it and I could smell in the air maybe I have to give him the Explorer and see if I can smell it in the air after 6 hours? it is very tricky to measure the performance since sometimes its there but we dont smell it anyway... just wanted to share this.. hahaha
Your whole credibility goes out of the window if you not only recommend Valentino Uomo Intense as an iris scent but also place it so high. The iris is only there in the opening and gone after half an hour. After that it dries down to grandma's rice mush with vanilla. You somewhat redeem yourself with Dior Homme Parfum which again is barely an iris scent but it is one of the all time best fragrances.
