In this video, I ranked every lightsaber in Star Wars, including Obi-Wan Kenobi's, Kylo Ren's, Darth Maul's, Luke Skywalker's, and so many more. Follow me on Twitter: / jedwerd_ #StarWars #Lightsaber #Jedwerd
The reasoning for the Darksaber being heavy for the Mandalorian is because he couldn’t connect with the crystal as stated during the trials of the darksaber arc in Star Wars Rebels when Kanan and Sabine were training
Palpatine's lightsaber seems like one of the most comfortable ones to hold, so many of them have random bits sticking out, his is so smooth and elegant
Makes it harder to hold. Anakin designed his ep.3 lightsaber with wider and thicker grips so it wouldn’t slip from his hand. Palpatine stated he didnt care about lightsaber combat even though he was a master in it. He learned it and made his lightsaber design as a mockery of the Jedi’s importance that they placed on a lightsaber.
@@raidomani They can say whatever they want in canon, I had a toy version of Vader's lightsaber as a kid (basically the exact same design but black), it was NOT easier to hold than a smooth round stick
@@Shashu_the_little_Voidling when you get it wet or muddy a more textured grip helps hold onto it. Its why our fingers get shriveled when in water too long. To help improve grip in a slippery environment.
12:00 The lightsaber is actually Anakin’s lightsaber from Attack of the clones. It was made to look like Vader’s to foreshadow his turn to the darkside. I love these decisions by George Lucas to subtlety hint at a future event, it’s really cool.
Here's all the unknown lightsabers in order from when we saw you rank them: 1. (after Kylo's) Anakin's Episode II 2. (after the subscribe) Shaak Ti's 3. (after the Darksaber) Ezra Bridger's Second 4. (after Obi-Wan's Episode I) Kit Fisto's 5. (after Darth Maul's) Plo Koon's 6. (after Qui-Gon's) Darth Revan's 7. (after the previous) Jedi Revan's 8. (after the previous) Shaak Ti's (this one was just a fanmade 3D model on CGTrader, shouldn't have been included twice) And yes, the one after the Temple Guard's is Vader's. The other one you called Vader, as I said prior, is Anakin's from AotC.
FINALY someone said it. You don’t have to hate the lightsabers just because you hate the sequels. Kylo’s saber is DOPE and I don’t care what anyone says. Thumbs up for that.
Just so you know Jedwerd, the lightsaber that was mostly black and looked like Darth Vaders was Darth Vaders. The one that had a little more silver on it was Hankins original lightsaber from episode 2, attack of the clones.
I really love Mace Windu's lightsaber. I remember watching episode 2 for the first time, and seeing that purple lightsaber was just so cool. I had really only seen blue, green and red, and this was really different and it really looked cool in my opinion. I would put it in S, just because of how amazed I was as a little guy watching it for the first time.
I like that Ezra's blaster saber can't fire and have the blade out at the same time because of the enthusiasts on how this is a new concept meaning it hasn't been done before so of course it would be flawed as well as the fact that he had a given Kyber Crystal and spare parts that Sabine and the ship in general had for construction
@@carsonr3909 I think his idea was to get in a static lock that Star Wars loves and then shoot them while in the lock without making yourself vulnerable. That's pretty much the only certain plan I can think of for why both will be necessary besides the COOLness factor
I actually love the appearance of the inquisitors’ lightsabers. I personally think they looks so cool. However, I hated that they spins itself, it’s like they suddenly became not impressive at all. Like when I first watched the rebels, I think hmm the inquisitors lightsabers are kinda cool and the second I see them spin, I go: wtf is going on?? No, this make the thing worse!! So the inquisitors lightsabers turns from my third favourite lightsaber( dooku->kylo->inquisitors) to almost my least favourite. Edit: I wrote there’re suddenly….. so I fixed it
If inquisitor light sabers spun as fast or faster than General Grevious’s arms, then I’d say they’re decent, but as far as I remember they are slow after and any Jedi can solo them…
When I was about to buy a yellow light saber the people in there gift shop (in Disney World) asked if I wanted to buy Anakin’s Yellow Lightsaber. Not even DISNEY EMPLOYEES recognized it as Rae’s
The First "Darth Vaders Lightsaber" was actually Anakins Lightsaber from Episode 2 and before that. He lost that Lightsaber in the Droid factory on Geonosis and Got a Green Lightsaber in the Arena. The one With more black parts on it is actually Vaders Lightsaber
I feel like everyone forgets when Sabine used the dark saber for the first time she made a comment about it feeling very heavy and then Kanan tells her that the dark saber is one of the rare lightsabers to have that trait
I feel like Ahsoka's white sabers would be painful to hold. They seem flat. You would be pressing it hard against your palm, and it would keep falling down. Also, just holding them may be difficult
i don't know if someone already said this, but the second D lightsaber is Ezra's green lightsaber. also, just started watching your videos Saturday, and i am now a huge fan of your work :)
I agree with Kylo Ren's lightsaber. Its one of my favorites and besides the crossguards what i like the most of it is that the blade isn't smooth. Its crackling nature makes it look like a serrated blade which is fitting for the villain.
Unpopular opinion: Whether she was meant to be a Jedi or not, I actually like the design of Leia's lightsaber that its peak where the blade emitts seems to be based on Obi wan's final lightsaber
Jedwerd I’m 1 hour late but you never ever fail to amaze me I love this channel thank you for everything you have been doing recently if you didn’t see my comment on the other Star Wars video with characters then go back and see but love you mate
I’m pretty sure that was Attack of the Clones Anakin Padawan lightsaber that you mistook for vaders. Anakin’s was more silver and Vaders was more black and silver 12:04 love the ranking I’m so glad Obi wan was S tier that’s always been my favorite lightsaber
im new to the channel but your videos are great. I was little thrown off by the agressive tone because this is the theme that the channels that try clickbait toddlers into watching them some times use but you're nothing like that. I love your knowledgable takes based on the lore and the comedy bits! May the force be with you! (unpopular oppinion....lightsaber flying makes complete sense)
The Darksaber is so heavy for Mando because it depended his fearful emotions. That's why Maul was able to carry it with ease, because he's fueled with rage
The reason why din djarin struggled to hold the darksaber is because of his emotions’ your emotions flow through the darksaber and din being away from grougu had made the darksaber very heavy
Luke’s Saber definitely belongs in at least A-Tier. I would put it in S-Tier. The first green blade, the distinct hiss when it ignites…it may be modeled after Obi-Wan’s, but it’s way more iconic. Granted I do hate the “Hero” version of it, and much prefer the V3 over the Hero and V2. And Anakin’s Padawan saber is an absolutely beautiful saber.
When I thought of Rey’s saber all that was going thru my head Woman: who are you? Rey: I’m Rey Woman: Rey who? Rey: Rey-Venge of the SITH I am a Sith Lord like my grand father before me!
Please give the fallen order and Jedi survivor games a try. Please. At first they take a bit to get used to, but after 45 minutes of playing you start liking them. I genuinely love both of the games. Especially Jedi survivor.
Gosh, I love those games! And I agree, Survivor is better. I think everything they did right in FO was improved in Survivor. My favorite lightsaber stance the Blaster
@@KALtheHighstorm117 I love the blaster stance! I combo it with the saber staff, and use saber staff for large crowds of enemies and blaster for bosses or small groups.
@@Jericho4lyfe Nice! Blaster was my main, but I would switch to either dual wield or crossguard depending on the boss I was fighting. Also, which boss did you find the hardest? For me, it was Rayvis
4:27 When someone wields a lightsaber, his or her thoughts fuel the blade's energy. So, if they were off-balance or conflicted, then the blade would feel heavy. The Armorer said as much when she told Din that he was fighting against the blade.
4:48 That's Ezra Bridger's second lightsaber. The one with the green blade. 10:09 That's Darth Revan's Sith red lightsaber. 10:30 That's Revan's purple lightsaber. 12:00 The one with the silver emitter is Anakin's lightsaber from Episode II while the one with the black emitter is Darth Vader's red Sith blade. :)
I had a toy of Qui Gon's saber as a kid when Episode I came out. It's super distinctive with the shark fin thing, and it got arguably the clearest close-up shot of any hilt in all of the movies. Plus, green sabers are always always cooler than blue.
I think the Vader looking one with a black emitter is the real one and the silver topped one was some background characters that wanted a little more flare with
The first "Vader lightsaber" was actually Anakin's in Episode II that got destroyed in the droid factory. I think it's an easy mistake to make, because they're intentionally modeled to look like each other.
The only "iconic" thing to come out of the sequels is Kylo's lightsaber... and it's impractical, dangerous even for the user. And to say that the idea of a claymore or at least a sword with a guard could also be kept, it was enough to make the guard of cortasis (a metal that disturbs the radius of the sword, therefore having an extremely useful effect in duels).
7:21 he said obi wand lightsaber is the first lightsaber we see in Star Wars but if my memory serves me correct, it is when Luke ignites Anakins lightsaber
Darth Vader's lightsaber from episode 4 to 6 is the same from his first light saber as Anakin in episode 2 after that was destroyed he made his second light saber the iconic one and the one that Luke used.
Also, you got episode 2 Anakins lightsaber confused with Darth Vaders, Anakins is the one without the black top but the back middle and Vaders has both, a black top and black middle
