One thing you should mention is you should experiment a lot on the mantras you decide for your Mage build VERY carefully. I made a Gale mage build a while back, Now when i first tried it out i realized there was an issue where i could seemingly kill nothing even after fights that lasted for seemingly ages. I was gonna wipe that build because it felt nothing ever died to it and upon testing with friends I seen it did basically no damage despite a casters ring and 50% mantra pen. Few hours later I changed my matras around and it became actually one of my best builds yet, You wanna focus on things that do decent to moderately high damage with a low cast speed. As well as a low ether cost since you are utilizing more mantra damage overall.

I've been running mage builds for a while and this seems more like a chime guide which does exploit the full potential of mantra spam

if you run a mage build to avoid parry trading, you are avoiding the game and as a result should have your arms stripped clean from your body examples of mage builds include: Hero Swords In General Legendary Weapons With Hybrid Elemental Scaling That Stormcaller Ironsing Player in Chime Who Casted Tether Then SAT IN IT Trying to Land Lighting Stream Into Kick Into Rising Thunder and Ran Otherwise the problem is that the difference between heroblade and attunementless / hybrid is night and day, with a hero sword you can hit the EXCAT SAME stats as attunementless while doing more dmg innately from all sources (with a much better crit in all circumstances) more dmg = less falloff from using bloodless on everything bloodless = more health flame wisp = more regen there are ZERO downsides to using a herosword, any other build with creativity is punished as a result sadly Changes that need to be made: Add ability to spec dmg on any weapon and make it hybrid (like elden rings whetblade system so anyone can do any scaling with any weapon) Attunmentless Weapon DMG Scales 33/33/33 with spec dmg / proficiency / weapon stat Mage Weapon DMG Scales 33/33/33 songchant / INT / Element yayafino will bleed inshallah

Champ sword isnt good bc dmg, its good because its swing speed, enough investment for lvl 3 masters flourish and u get strong hold
