You know what triborg concept could be brought back into mortal kombat 1. As the character chameleon think about it. Chameleon is a lackluster ninja already. To make him more important and interesting and integral. Is have it be than in the base game chameleon. Feels unimportant to the group. So he decided to go through the cyber program on purpose. To upgrade himself to be the ultimate ninja. Call himself triborg the ultimate ninja. A true combination of human and cyber ninjas. But the con could be him being crazy. Not able to control his power and mind. So cyrax and sektor have to constantly keep him a bay. So he wouldn't go on a berserk rage. And lose his mind and destroy them as well. Along with any other cyber ninjas in his way. Ability he could have in the game is to have the other ninja. Unlock is his berserk mode and go rampage mode. On his power enemy using all of the ninja abilities. All at once in regular battle and his finishers in battle.
I always thought it was funny how Cyrax & Sektor were clearly robotic-sounding codenames they came up with for MK3, but then in the reboot they were just regular human dudes named Cyrax and Sektor before they even became cyborgs. It would be like if Johnny Cage's name was "TechnoTron".
Cyber Frost isn’t a bad idea however she was essentially another Cyber Sub Zero on paper. It would’ve been more interesting if she had mass produced different versions of herself for controlling the Sector army, utilizing the 3 different character skins to indicate which ones are grunt units, scouts, and the original with various different moves from the special customization mechanic.
They should have never made cyber sub zero. The character didn’t need it, and neither did MK - they should have left it as what if/fan fiction. I really like your idea with Frost @jaidora
I've always fellt there should be a green cyber ninja. To complete the trifecta of mustard, ketchup, and relish. Maybe have his moveset be based on acid. Acid spray. Acid bombs. All causing damage over time effects.
really like the way you break down the characters. you should do a every character ranked with detailed breakdowns like you did here. no matter how long the video i know id watch it.
Cyrax is so cool, always loved him since his debut in mk3. the mk3 cyborg designs and the crisp feel when you fight as them is spectacular and on-point. I used to do some crazy combos with Cyrax. Electric net the opponent towards you, toss grenade and uppercut them into the grenade and teleport attack as they get hit.
To those who don't know, Unit LK-7T2 is actually able to be fought in MK1, and is the only character within the armies of Titan Shang Tsung who isn't a merger of characters
Triborg is my fave cause his concept and powers are increibly over the top fun!!! Love how he is literally the Robot Avatar of the avatar had smoke bending, ice bending, digital bending and metal bending
I still remember learning Smoke's teleport uppercut combo in UMK3 by watching another dude at the arcade playing with him. Teleport uppercut, kick then air grab. It blew my 7 yo mind. I would kick my older bros butt with that combo haha.
Video suggestions all mortal kombat games ranked (storywise or gameplay wise or both),all characters ranked, all bosses and subosses ranked, all mortal kombat games intro's ranked, all females ninjas's ranked, all netherrealm characters ranked, all out world characters ranked
Sektor- my favorite cyber ninja. Cyrax- second favorite cyber ninja. Smoke- I don't like he was then made human. Frost- she badass. Triborg- they a'ight. Cyber Sub-Zero- absolutely terrible.
Sektor is my favorite. The compactor and scarecrow fatality's are the best in the series although triborg is close second and obviously smokes earth bomb fatality. I never liked cyber smokes move set though it was always an amalgamation of the best moves of other characters so usually he was fairly op.
I wish we got Cyber Sub Zero or Frost in Deadly Alliance, Deception or Armageddon. The list is perfect but I would switch Cyber Zero an A and put Triborg B or D. Because he isn't an actual character, just a variation of the three.
Solid list. I think you definitely got the three original Ninjas in the "correct" tier list, though I don't fully agree with Frost and Cyber Sub's tier ranking, and I especially disagree with Triborg being on the tier list at all. Personally, I'd put Frost in B tier. Design wise, I like regular Frost way more, but I think people go too hard on her MK11 rendition. She wasn't that bad. I think most fans put her in D tier because they liked her original design a lot more and just wanted an updated version of that rather than what NRS gave us, which was to completely mess with her core identity as a human being. I don't think fans wanted that messed with when it comes to legacy PS2 era favorites like Frost. It also hurts her that her cyborg design looks very human without her being human. If NetherRealm was going to go the controversial rout and change Frost, they needed to commit and go big to keep it interesting, but honestly, I think she looked pretty cool anyway. I especially liked that her continued role of betrayal was intact, and served as a complement of her cyberization, rather than just being automated with her memories wiped away like Smoke. She went from betrayal, to betrayal on an a grand scale in MK11, willing to go to extremes to get what she wanted. She was honestly an awesome villain for that, and I think D tier is too harsh personally. B tier for me. Cyber Sub-Zero I'd put into the A tier, pretty much for the very same reasons why you put him in B tier. NetherRealm gave fans an alternate reality that fans wanted to see for a while, but what I especially appreciated was how they didn't squander the opportunity to show off the dynamic change between Sub-Zero and his brother. Bi-Han becoming a dark version of who he once was, and Sub-Zero being trapped in a cyberized body, and having them meet on the battle field unrecognizable to one another. That was so awesome, and it made Cyber Sub-Zero's addition to MK9 so cool. There was some real S tier potential with Cyber Sub-Zero, but because his shelf life as a character ended so quickly, S tier isn't justifiable, and although he was technically in one game, they did some great stuff with his character. I'd put him in A tier, though I also can understand the B tier. Triborg I wouldn't rank at all. He's just a shoehorned DLC character that gave NRS the excuse to have all four cyber ninjas in MKX without having to change the main story. His entire purpose is to represent all four cyber ninjas, who already have representation on this tier list. I see Triborg as incredibly redundant, which is why I personally wouldn't rank him at all. If he had an incredibly detailed story line, that would make up for a lot, but he was given a shallow story that's likely not even canon in the MK universe, which reflects exactly how shoehorned in this character was. I know it sounds like I hate Triborg, but I don't. I think he's an MVP for what he brought to the table, but by virtue of what he is, he just seems redundant on a tier list. A tier makes some sense for Triborg, being that he's all four cyber ninjas without the story, but S tier would have also made a lot of sense for that same reason, but it also makes a lot of sense to not rank him at all due to redundancy. He's in some pretty odd territory.
Frost definitely looked cool, and that's easily the best part of her character in MK11. No real development there from a story perspective, but in fairness, had they continued and actually gave her something to do other than being an evil Cyber Lin Kuei member, she would have ranked higher. Great points all around on Cyber Sub-Zero. I really like the dichotomy of Bi-Han to Noob Saibot and Kuai Liang to Cyber Sub-Zero. I could understand people putting Triborg anywhere from S to F tier. Some DLC characters are ambiguous, but I feel Triborg is a present-day Chameleon. Probably the closest we'll ever get to a true Chameleon in the NRS era. The backstory was enough for me to buy into Triborg.
Man, those MK11 Sektor and Cyrax designs are incredible (maybe it was X actually).. the one where you can't use them, lol. I'd rank them Smoke (S), Sektor (S), Cyrax (S), Sub (A), Triborg (?) (I don't think I was done with MK11 before they were released, looks awesome though), and Frost (C). I liked Frost though.
I love Triborg but it feels unfair to put him higher than sub. Cause in the last Ninja ranking, you put weight on story and background of a character. But at the end of the day, it's your opinion. Anyway Great Video, I love all the Cybers exceot Frost though.
Fair points. I feel like Cyber Ninjas are a bit more open as there’s not nearly as many with deep back stories. I mean, Cyrax and Sektor have been fully playable once since 2011 (unless you’re including Triborg). Triborg over Cyber Sub-Zero is just more of a gut call, but I completely understand if people disagree.
I love these but i think they'd be more interesting general if the "S" tier was reserved for only 1 character slot. Like if you only could pick one Cyber Ninja who would that be? Gameplay wise I always enjoyed Sektor most in MK3
In my headcanon, Cyrax died for Nitara in DA. I consider everyone who "should be" dead in Armageddon to just be creative liberties taken to give us a full roster/MKT2
Kitana Mileena Jade. The obvious 3. Skarlet and Tanya got klassic pallet swap outfits as DLC. Human Frost still counts. Everyone forgot Khameleon. That's 7. 1 more than this video which was good so why not.
@@Euro.Patriot how dare you lol I get that though, but I feel cyber sub zero was even less necessary than cyber frost. Frost in general might have been unnecessary but I like her. Storylines regarding Lin Kuei Grandmaster and the idea of a pupil for sub zero (as Grandmaster) make MK more interesting
Cyber Smoke is the best I like Smoke him and Sub-Zero are my favorite mortal kombat characters but I’ve always liked Cyber Smoke a lot more than human smoke
I know weapons weren't a thing till the 3d era games and not used as a factor in these lists, but I think it's worth noting that in the 3d games Cyrax and Sektor had freaking lightsabers as their weapons.
Rank female ninjas. Since Skarlet and Tanya got MK3 and Trilogy outfits as DLC, They count as pallet swaps. So does Human Frost. Skarlet and Frost in S. I'd put Mileena in A but I think you and fans would put her in S. Jade and Kitana in B. Khameleon in D for reasons you discussed with Male Khameleon vs Triborg. Make sure the pics you move into the tier list are klassic or trilogy femme fatale as those the only ones that stay the same except for color.
I’m probably the only person or one of the few who has NO ATTACHMENT to Cyber Smoke and Sub-Zero AT ALL. I LIKE TRIBORG & CYBER FROST. I wish CYRAX and SEKTOR had skins for both human and cyber versions of themselves. Also Cyrax is one of the very few black characters in the franchise so I have sentimental and bias ties to him.
Bit weird how you didn’t start off with Sektor as he’s the face of the cyborgs. You can have Sektor without Cyrax but you cannot have Cyrax without Sektor.
Agree with all these except I would have cyber sub-zero in A tier for sure, mainly because of gameplay since he was so satisfying to play with in tag team on MK9 with his MK3 costume. I think the klassic MK3/UMK3 designs for all the cyber ninjas unbeatable also. I know I can’t be the only one who think cyber Frost’s design is complete trash. She just looks too lesbo for me
Its too bad mk11 didn't make them playable characters. I think that design was amazing. The cyborgs looked great. I may be the minority but i loved everything about mk11. Mk12(mk1) is just okay. Feels like a lot of laziness in my opinion
@@FAiRWAYx Base MK3 GOAT imo. Sorry Kabal, but nothing beats unlocking that purple robot and realizing it's the Grey Ninja from MKII... and he's this game's Scorpion. Btw, how have they NEVER brought back Sektors MK3 throw, where he uses the retractable shoulder arm?
