In this video I'm showing off my ultimate outdoor shooting range without spending a lot of money. I do a lot of target practice with a wide range of cartridge sizes so I wanted something a bullet wouldn't go through. There's a lot of different ways to make a good target backstop but most end up costing money or aren't effective. I needed a target backstop that would absorb a bullet impact of a large caliber rifle or handgun and not penetrate all the way through. I got the tires from a local trucker. It costs them more to take them to a recycler or a dump than it's worth and so they will give them away if you ask. These are full size 18-wheeler tires held up with 2 extra-long T-posts and filled with dirt. You can fill them with just about anything you want, scrap wood or whatever but dirt will work best.
