well....she sure was put through the ringer with both George AND Clapton...especially Clapton. Geeeezzzz...

I think "Humiliating" George is something of a misunderstanding. George famously had lots and lots of affairs throughout the time he was married to Patti and when Eric Clapton told George he loved and wanted to be with Patti George shrugged his shoulders and said "Okay". That doesn't make George or Patti or Eric bad people it is something simply in the nature of pop and movie stars. John had an endless list of extra marital liasons until he met Yoko (lets not mention Mai Peng). Paul couldn't be trusted to be loyal to his girlfriends especially Jane Asher until he met Linda (who in the early days kept a very tight rein on him) and even Ringo was not adverse to trying his luck when his former wife wasn't around. It's just the way it was.

Her sister Jenny married Mac Fleetwood. So maybe there was a bit of a groopie spirit. But she was a nice wife for George for sure and the best looking of the Beatles wives. Maybe Olivia was a bit more solid and mature? When you are young you'd like to have a very pretty and sexy wife, but as you get older you'd prefer a deeper connection to make life more MEANINGFUL.
