true, but that doesn't necessarily just apply to romantic relationships, there are other ways of being rejected. I just think Kanji was meant to be with Naoto only.
I think Kanji's sexuality is ambiguous on purpose. The entire point of his arc is that you're not supposed to think any specific behavior makes someone gay or less masculine. Anyone who tried to force Kanji into a box are the exact people who caused his issues to begin with.
Thing is, I dont think the Akechi that appears in Maruki's reality is actually Akechi. I think it's Joker's *perception* of Akechi, made real by Maruki. Of course, since Joker believes that Akechi is dead, the Akechi in Maruki's reality would say that he died in Shido's palace. The ending scene definitely seemed to have Akechi walking in the background, so I believe it's 100% possible that Akechi survived the fight with his cognitive self in Shido's palace and, for one reason or another, decided to not confront the Phantom Thieves after escaping. But that's just my theory.
@@personalover9514 well at least that explains the actual Akechi’s absence in Maruki’s arc while still giving the fans hope for his survival. I don’t need any confirmation, i am adopting this idea as head cannon now 🥹
@@KoreanTeaKing the thing is not only you’re not the only one but it’s so spread it’s actually considered as absolutely true by several Akechi fans. That means also doing some outstanding mental gymnastics. You have to ignore some decisive explicit information provided by the game. (Such as Maruki god knowledge, Akechi finding out he was going to die, Akechi saying he was screwed in the engine room, Futaba being able to map an whole palace and saying Akechi is gone other than Sae herself searching for him for the most important trial of her life as well as the description of the post credit scene in the thieves den where it’s stated Joker was daydreaming about the past year while he was in the train, and also the “akechi’s signature outfit” is just the regular uniform from his school which we saw just on him) Also you need to explain to yourself how he masterfully managed to do crazy things while being completely undetected (obviously he didn’t he just died there) And the only things you consider are a student wearing uniform from Akechi’s high school and Atlus obviously not showing directly a death in a 16+ game. (They didn’t show Shiho hitting the ground either but no one supposed she landed harmlessly) The thing your favorite character managed to do: -escape from a dead end after locking the only exit while being barely able to walk after being beaten up -exit the palace while being undetected by Futaba who can contact continuously Joker during the casino escape scene (obviously she could contact Akechi as well) -being completely undetected by the phantom thieves (they exited just a few minutes after) and everyone else while he’s exited the palace in a freaking public space - being completely unreachable by both Shido and Sae without any contact from either the police or Shido’s man until Christmas Eve - Somehow deceiving God Maruki making him believe he was dead and that he resurrected him - Continue to be undetected for months until March and then going in a public station in Tokyo while he’s still wanted and wearing the outfit he had every time he was on freaking tv.
57:37 in the p4 manga it’s actually implied nanako has a shadow in one of the panels as it shows her confronting her shadow in front of the entrance of her dungeon and she was asking it why it looked so sad. It’s easy to find if you just search up “ nanako shadow p4 manga “
6:57 if you didnt put it in, the game actually has a hidden cheat code where you can control your team Also, i theorize that Elizabeth is trying to bring back Minato in P4A, since she says she's trying to do something but it was never specified what it was. I'd say it's likely due to how close she was with him, and how Atlus seems to like the idea of bringing back people in P3 for no reason.
The oldheads gotta help out the new fans, from P1-4 and all the spinoffs there's quite a bit of material out there. That isn't even mentioning Manga, Anime, Movies, Plays and Concerts. There's always more Persona to find and I wanna see people go on that path of discovery. Division gets us nowhere, even if we disagree game to game we all love the series for a reason at the end of the day and just wanna see it keep being peak!
Long comment on some things (sorry if other comments already shared something I say or…type) Regarding names of the protags I found this on the wiki trivia for the P3P one, “On July 10th 2020, she was confirmed to appear in the second crossover event of the game Puzzle & Dragons under the name Kotone Shiomi, marking the first time she has received a proper name in a video game.” I also saw she got a name in something else in the trivia so I’ll call her Kotone Shiomi. Not sure if it should be brought up or not In your transitions of each entry in the iceberg you made an error with the Picaro Personas. In Persona 5 (I believe in both) there is also a reference to Yukari in P3. I brought it up since the entry mentioned ones from 2 and 4 but not 3. I don’t remember if anyone else from 3 is mentioned. IDK if it counts as dodging a bullet if it isn’t fired but Akihiko also did this in P4 Arena. I think Strikers isn’t a timeline split (unless they do a sequel or a future entry in the series says otherwise) since both games IIRC end on the same day and with Marukis reality being undone everything that should’ve happened did happen. IMO I think it’s because Strikers and Royal were made together and both teams didn’t talk to each other. That’s why Morgana still denies being a cat in Strikers. I think it was just a real world issue and if it isn’t then then oh well guess I was wrong. As for the video I loved it. Most stuff I learned from other Persona iceberg videos and I LOVE how I still learned something new.
Thanks for the corrections! Some of these entries were just my interpretations based on the info i found, and given the amount of info on the net, i might have missed, misunderstood, or plain forgot some of them. Still thank you for everything . :)
That P3 twins theory, I don't believe that, I actually believe that they are each the same person genetic wise from two different timelines, where in one timeline, the person has the XX chromosome while in the other, the person instead has the XY chromosome. This was pretty much stated in Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth.
@@julianrobertson1869 You know, I wonder if this theory he mentioned came from Genshin Impact because it does have the same idea where you choose which twin and whichever you choose, the other will be kidnapped and you have to save. Even so like I said, Persona Q2 pretty much confirms what I think, being that they are one person from two different timelines with one major genetic alteration.
46:00 I think that the connection between persona and warhammer 40k comes from the warp and the chaos gods. Basically the warp is where the souls of mortals go when they die and where the chaos gods and demons reside, but it’s connected to the minds of mortals so it’s somewhat shaped by the perceptions or desires of mortals. For example the chaos god slaanesh it’s the god of excess, all sensations are her domain, from joy to sex and even pain. Her birth was caused because the alien race known as the eldar solved all of their societal issues and decided to have sex endlessly with even torture added to the mix. Between that and their psychic powers giving them a bigger presence in the warp they accidentally gave birth to slaanesh and she in turn gave life to endless demons at her service. Like you can see that factor of their nature being caused by the minds of mortals sound very similar to shadows and personas. But that’s where similarities end, when dealing with a chaos god or some demon you need to be completely fanatical in your conviction in opposing them, otherwise you get corrupted and once corrupted you start serving the chaos gods even if end up killing you. So yeah, even thou both have similarities it’s fair to say that shadows and personas aren’t demons or chaos gods. Still one can see the similarities and differences in both their nature and in the ways of dealing with them.
If anyone's wondering, the names given to Femc are: Minako Arisato (Dear Girls, Persona Q2) [Also given by Western fans at the time] Kotone Shiomi (Stage play) Hamuko [Given by Japanese fans] Most of her names are a play on words on "Female Protagonist"
To hear the phrase “all of the persona games” and only having content from P3-P5 kinda stings a little bit. But what can you do. Also hearing about Philemon hanging around in the other games as a butterfly makes me kind of hope that Philemon will return in the future. Even if it’s a small cameo, I really would like to see Philemon take human form again.
About the P1 there is no wild card as persona users can actually have multiple persona but limited by their compatability as for the wild card they don't have compatability as they are blank slate which makes it easier for them to use any persona and if you wondering why 3-4 team mates have multiple persona the reason is simple as for 3 and 4 there is no actual demon(shadow with personality that naturally gained) so they don't know how to make contract to it and for P5 only joker can make contract as Yaldabaoth make it that way as the shadow in metavers only have forced individuality and only remodeled by him
55:16 I don't think Adachi faked it. He threw Yamano in the TV to scare her and he didn't know it'd kill her. He genuinely did throw up, but then he realized he could abuse his power.

You forgot to mention the IS Guide incident. There was this guy that created a Innocent Sin guide in some page, ten years laters he requests the administration of said page to remove his guide because he... was now converted into christianism and felt the Persona and SMT series mention of other beings from other religions was "Pure paganism" and "Disrespect towards the christian religion", so he tought he had commited a *Innocent* Sin by created that guide. Other than the Innocent Sin pun, this is real.
@@makotoamamiya2442 Megami Ibunroku Persona? I don't really understand the naming scheme so I might be wrong, but doesn't Megami count as having it in the title?
@@shrimpshufflr7745 Megami Ibunroku essentially means Alternative of the Goddess for lack of a better word. As opposed to Megami Tensei, Reincarnation of the Goddess and Shin Megami Tensei, True Reincarnation of the Goddess.
Persona 4 golden was far from being the first persona game to get a pc port. The first one was persona 1 but was released only in Japan for windows 98 and XP if I remember correctly. It also came with wallpapers and screen savers for your desktop and even a jack frost desktop pet thingy
Yeah it was one of the transition animations. I believe it was the transition into the items menu? It is super cool that they added it to smash before people even realized P5R existed though. Many fans thought it was weird but still fitting to have that menu transition be the basis of a move in smash
Thank you for watching my video! :) If you’re interested in Kingdom Hearts, I’ll be releasing an iceberg on it later this week. Again, thank you so much for your time. Your comment just made my day. :D
hey, just a small thing but the manga you used to reference the p5’s protagonist being called “akira kurusu” is actually persona 5 mementos mission (basically a p5 spinoff), which refers to him as ren amamiya and not akira kurusu. it’s not really a big thing and it doesnt really matter much because i do get your point, but just wanted to point that out!!!
Also, as a teaser, i’m secretly working on a video related to your profile picture, may I suggest you subscribe so you see get notified when it’s uploaded? ;)
59:29 my theory is that it was the ghost of the persona 3 mc pulling a prank on the persona 4 mc, This is also the my reasoning on why every persona team ends up in the same exact same situation whenever there is a hot spring door kun be doing some trolling
@@KoreanTeaKing Even though not to be rude but if you do another one of these could you please include spoiler warnings for late game stories 😅. But still good iceberg and commentary.
Tulpa is a creature created from mental energy that can have some level of autonomy. Tulpas exist (according to those who claim to have it) IRL - basically imaginary friends that can manifest in hallucinations and create a lot of false memories for you (recent example: russian orthodox priest who had a tulpa who he thought was his wife (he had real wife too BTW) for which he unconsciously photoshopped photos and made nazi social media account for without remembering any of it). Having it is not a good sign for your mental health.
54:15 Headcanon: The ultimate Persona of each arcana are the souls Persona users from The Other Side I.E: Brown's Soul = Sraosha, Metatron, Melchizedek ext.
Does anyone know if Mitsuru's motorbike is based on any specific model? My guess is either no or it's something Japan specific, (it would be funny if it was really obvious, I know like nothing about motorbikes.) If anyone knows please tell me. I've been wanting to draw it and I've managed to find a few images, but most are low quality.
Persona being part of the 40k universe is NOT something I was EVER expecting to hear. It's obviously not true and has gotta be a meme someone made while bored or high out of their mind, but let's humor this one for a second. So there's a human inhabited planet within the galaxy, presumably outside of Imperium control, unknown to the other major players in the galaxy, and the people of this planet are completely in the dark of the universe around them. A bunch of uncontrolled psykers are running around using "personas" aka bound daemons from the Warp, to battle against other supernatural occurences (also presumably Warp related), and the Imperium is just gonna let this slide? No, of course not! Space Marine chapters would be instantly mobilized into a compliance campaign as soon as this planet is discovered, which will likely become a total war/genocide if they discover the "heresy" taking place planetside. The people of this planet also are under the belief that they're on earth, which is a big no no to the Imperium as well. The last few planets that claimed they were the true Holy Terra were either destroyed or their populations were forced through violence into compliance. A few Persona Users here and there are not going to stop an Astartes company, much less an exterminatus. And all of that is assuming that the Imperium gets to them first... best case scenario, they're either left alone through some miracle, or the Tau finds them and they somehow avoid confrontation with the other factions. Worst case scenario... well, it's 40k, pretty much everything that could happen in that setting is the worst case scenario.
Hi, thank you for taking your time in watching my video. :) I appreciate the comment and I'll make sure to provide quality videos in the future. Again, thank you so much!
