Chicagoan here. Been to Florida quite a few times. Have family that moved there. From Chicago. Know people from new York whose family retired there. Met people from Wisconsin there . We all had pizza in Sarasota, tanpa bay , fort Myers, port Charlotte and a few other areas . We couldn't find one decent tasting pizza in Florida.
We're New Yorkers so our favorite spots in Orlando are Dough Boyz, Sal's Pizza Bar and John and John's, in that order. We have a more recent video where we try out these new spots! Hope you enjoy!
Try Brad's Underground Pizzeria. Best deep dish in the city. Also surprised you didn't include Pizza Bruno in your list as its one of the more well known pizza spots.
I wanted to include Pizza Bruno, but my list just got too long and overbudget! 🤣 I still have to visit, I would like to compare it to Antica Pizzeria. I'll have to film a Pizza Tour Part 2 in the future! 🤣
@@HungryPolarBear please do, im new to orlando and i loved this video and you. i tried pizza bruno and i thought it sucked, super disappointing after all the rave reviews i read. black magic is better. i have yet to try antica but will soon
@@alandream8688 Once I have a long enough list, then we'll work on a part 2 Pizza Tour! Pizza Bruno does have 2 spots and the one in College Park serves up New Jersey style pizza while the other one on Curry Ford does Neopolitan.
@@HungryPolarBear My dear friend! I almost want to meet you and share some pizza, you seem very nice and genuine. So listen, ive been going around trying a bunch of places and here are my personal thoughts. The issue I had with the Pizza Bruno wasnt anything other than it was overhyped for me and the sauce I didnt enjoy and I feel like the sauce is the soul of the pizza as much as the crust and cheese. Its a preferance. I wanted to recommend my top spots. You need to try Anthonys. The issue is you like crisp and Im the kind of person that enjoys sloppy slices but I find their cheese and sauce to remind me of something akin to Steves in North Miami Beach and Sarahs Pizza in Hollywood. You see Im from Miami Beach so I feel very spoiled from being there cuz its good food. So Antica was good but I think the very best Ive had is Black Magic Pizza and Pizza Slut. Pizza Slut has a crust that just is different, not something to make a big deal about, but the 7 year starter she uses does come in to save her. I actually really like Fly Guy Pizza. Now I judge all these pizzas on simply cheese so I cant speak about any of these places unique pizzas that probably put them on the map above others but simply from a cheese pizza perspective Im giving it right now to Black Magic Pizza for napolean, Original Anthonys (Ive been to them for New York style even though I dont know the taste of NY (theres a few locations but ive been to the one in casselberry commons. I dug Sodough but at the end of the day it ignited my love for the simple pleasures of a personal pan pizza at pizza hut so I went there and its cheaper and hits me harder on a nostalgia level. I think Orlando is awesome but I wish there was more unique pizza options.
💯 It was great! As a New Yorker I was definitely surprised! There's some new Pizza spots that have opened up recently that I recommend...Dough Boyz, Sal's Pizza Bar and John and John's, in that order.
@@HungryPolarBear I didn't even realize there was a Rosati's in Orlando. My favorite Chicago pizza is Lou Malnati's. I hope we get one here eventually.
@@floridadreams263 After trying all my spots, Rosati's is one of my favorites! Make sure to order online because I read on yelp that it can be a long wait if you order in person.
