Thanks for the video. I’ve been playing around with a version of this (MacBook + ddj400) and it’s awesome for on the go. The only addition I’ve introduced is a little yamaha ag03 mk2 mixer which gives me better pre-amps for the mic and the ability to connect to bigger sound systems. It also can be bus/battery powered. An added bonus is that because my mic comes later in the chain, I can record a clean mix for Mixcloud or whatever. One question, do the speakers introduce latency? I’ve had some issues with Bluetooth speakers which makes them a bit tricky to rely for djing. Thanks.

Hello, I have a question. When I connected to FLX4 via wire to iPad, I couldn't use headphones output on FLX4, it is not working. I have speaker with 3.5mm Jack. So the speakers are connected to iPad. Speakers are working in this way but FLX4 headphone output doesn't. What is the reason behind this? I need your help.

Connected my flex4 to iPad USB-C through Bluetooth and have RCA Jax running to a powered speaker through auxiliary, but I'm getting no sound from the external speaker it's coming through the iPad. What did I do wrong? How do I correct this thank you.

Do you know why i can’t get signal via aux cable to my AV receiver ? I’m using an iPad I can only get signal using Bluetooth from my iPad to av receiver. The problem is that via Bluetooth I can only get signal from side speakers not centered speakers . My I pad is using Bluetooth signal from av reactivar and relied box at the same time.

I have brand new Rekordbox 6.7.3 IpadOS 16.3.1 IPAD (7th Generation) 1) When I connect ipad through Bluetooth the sound goes through IPad and not to the speakers. 2) And when I connect with cable, the IPad does not recognize the FLX4. What can I do to get sound in the speakers PLEASE???

I have a smaller set up with the Hercules Starlight and my iPhone. I use Djay AI with tidal. Plug into and speaker or mixer and your good to go!

I have the flx 4 I connected my iPad. 6 th generation a lightning to usb 3 camera adapter I have usb c usb a from that into the output and I have dm 40 speakers in the master but no sound from the speakers or headphones only the iPad

Hi and thanks for your comment! Yes, you can cue each deck in your headphones as if it was a laptop. There are different ways you can record your mix. One of them would be to go from the RCA outputs of the controller into quarter inch inputs of an audio interface. The audio interface would allow you to both monitor the mix as well as record it. For an affordable solution, I recommend Focusrite Audio Interfaces.

Would the whole setup theoretically work without electricity? Would the FLX4 then draw power from the iPad? Looks like a cool setup to me for a house party or at the beach or something.

Yes, this whole set up would work without external power. The ipad powers the controller and the speakers run on their own batteries.

Guys, Quick tip: Never connect Headphones or Speakers to BT. There like a 150-300 miliseconds delay.

I second that. Latency from Bluetooth is not good when you are DJing so I also always use wired cables to connect audio.

I have a similar issue. I think connecting headphones only works when you connect the controller to the ipad via usbc. When I connect the controller to my iPad via Bluetooth I have no sound on my headphones. But maybe you know more on that, would love it to work even via Bluetooth😅

If you want to use your own music library I definitely recommend using Rekordbox on your laptop. This way you can use any music you have on your hard drive without paying a fee.

Theres no need for that usb c adapter your using.. you can connect the power to the controller itself, it has 2 usb c ports for this reason

Also when you plug the usb c into the controller itself you wanna make sure you have a power brick that can supply 9v 3a (at least 30 watts) i see that your using a 20 watt charger.. may work for now but who knows what can happen to your controller if you keep supplying it with not enough power

Please stop using the phraze "Portable!" Can the DDJFLX4 run from a USB Battery Pack ? Not likely. You need adaptera and mains! that means you need a house! that's not portable! No offense but this really bugs me, if I can't take the DDJFLX4 and power it via USB Battery up a hill and link to a JBL Boombox its not portable.
