What is the point owning this monitor as a software engineer if you blow up your IDE zoom percentage by 500% and only see 50 lines of code? This just screams oblivious. Use the verticality!
I'm currently deciding between a regular 32" inch 4K monitor vs LG dual up monitor for my WFH setup. I'll be staring at Visual studio throughout the day. What would you suggest? More vertical space is better?
I ended up with Dell U4323QE. It's basically two dualups side by side in one monitor. The vertical space has definitely improved my productivity with VS. The reason I went for the Dell was that almost for the same price of dual up, I was getting more screen. But in practice I see that I'm mostly only viewing the center of the screen. But I'm happy with Dell too (sometimes I think u should have gone for the lg dualup and use two regular monitors vertically mounted one the sides)
6:45 Says about watching youtube and shows only the home page!! Talks about seeing many lines of code but his VS code shows only 20 lines of code!! What an out of point explanation this guy!
I have this exact same monitor setup (LG 32" 4k ergo + dualup ergo) setup for WFH. The only diff is i have my dualup rotated 90 degrees. it is an absolute dream for pcb design and pretty much any form of cad or word processing. a lot of people use a normal 16x9 rotated monitor for looking at code or PDFs but i found its really annoying as the monitor has to be super tall and you have to crane your head up and down. The Dualup is literally perfect for looking at PDFs. in my work i have to look at datasheets constantly and i can see a full page and detailed diagrams are incredibly sharp and easy to see. its expensive but i have no regrets having purchase it. The only thing i regret is going with a 32" main monitor which i feel is too big and wish i would have gone with a 27.
Did you notice a pretty stark contrast in the text quality between the 32" and the dual up? Just setup my dual up and it's nothing like the 32" 4K and just wondering if I haven't calibrated it correctly.
@@nickpisciotta "4K" is a misleading marketing jargon. Check pixel density, pixels per inch /ppi. Both DualUp & 32-4k are the same 140. People ending up thinking 32-4k will be better than 27-4k, or same quality. but reality is: the same “4K number of pixels” (8.3 million) are spread across a bigger 32 surface area, hence 32 has lesser pixels per inch / ppi (pixel density). so 27 is actually better quality than 32. 27-4k = 163 ppi
I believe you need to go back to the drawing board and feed your wires through the cable management the correct way. The wires go through the arm closest to the monitor on the bottom loop then up through the hole in the second arm with hole in it then through the hole on the main tube and down to the base.
What's the distance between ergo stand clamps on your desk? I just purchased both the dualup and ultrafine 32-inch for my setup as well. Thanks in advance!
Hello brother my name is lakshya and I want to become a software engineer right now I am 16yrs old so what should I do plz guide me . 🙏🙏 from India awaiting for your reply
I actually love this setup 🤤🔥🔥🙌 I personally like the horizontal normal monitor but the vertical seems great for coding. I would like to see both types of videos. Cinematic and vlog type.
Really enjoyed the thorough walkthrough. Does your LG ergo monitor manage to charge your MBP 16? Since it’s up to 65w power delivery? Debating on buying this monitor
Is it possible to connect another monitor in this one throught thunderbolt port (daisy chain)? I search the tech specs but didn't find nothing about that.
Наконец-то дошло что набирать текст формата А4 удобнее на подобном размерам мониторе. Компромисом были моники с соотношением сторон 4:3 но их тупо сняли с производства.
Awsome video thanks! Unrealted question, how do you plug two monitors to you M1? You don't need designated docking station that support M1 two monitors?
