Yes, I can not afford an XRT Ultimate. But my LHS has a few in stock. And I was there when a guy came in and bought one, along with a standard XMaxx, right in front of me. We exchanged numbers. Texted a few times, and then he gave me his 10 year old E-Revo Brushless Edition, 4 lipos, chargers, two and a half sets of tires and a ton of spare parts. Gave a teacher a Revo 3.3 so he could show his students how a nitro engine works. All completely for free! Great guy. Only met him twice, but I can truly call him a friend. I love the RC hobby and community.
Forgot to mention the $1000 in upgrades you’re going to need. These companies have decided to ruin the hobby by absurdly overcharging for their cheap junk. I left the surface RC hobby years ago. Planes are much more fun, and way cheaper.
Rc mann is my kinda guy. “If it falls in I’ll go get it” I’d do the same for my friends RCs! I’m a really strong rock climber and I’m not afraid of getting wet or dirty!
And then, later on, he doesnt wanna climb a hill because of new shoes? He was willing to get them muddy/wet, if it fell into that river, but not get dry dirt on them.....?? LOL
I always wanted the XRT, but I already had the Xmaxx. I decided to go the with the Outcast 8S. It is a heavy animal, after a few M2C upgrades it’s pretty much solid.
You can buy 'em. I actually bought mine on-line from a hobby shop instead of having to find one in-store. Also got three bodies (green/blue ultimate and a black standard). Picked up the old non-belted TRX wheels to compliment the belted ones. I do like the belted ones a bit better as they allow more aggressive TRS without compromising sliding/drifting on grass and dirt. The old ones seem the dig a bit more and require turning down TRS. At some point I'll do some upgrades (probably a Max5 and 11KV Hobbywing with a nice Futaba to start). I do dislike that Traxxas batteries seem limited to 20C, along with the proprietary connectors.
Almost all battery companies exaggerate the hell out of their c ratings. Claiming 120c yet there's a 60 Amp connector on it. Traxxas just seems to be more honest in their c ratings. Whether their batteries are any good or not I can't attest to, as I don't own any.
@jbusa6630 they are crap I've tested them against the gens ace massive speed and power difference, it's like the spektrum batteries for rc planes they are rubbish to.
Had to laugh at "can't drive it through mud it's for a prize winner" after it being sent up a house over a stream along a rocky beach and off a hillside 😂
I lived in California right on the beach. I took it's beauty for granted. You are playing with an awesome car and there is a Castle or a tower in the background. That's awesome. I'm now in the pacific Northwest in Washington state USA. I miss the beach.
Can I make a suggestion. Try getting solid billet parts. They can scan the suspension parts and cut the billet exactly like the plastic. Even carbon fiber. The added weight may make it more stable as well.
From my understanding you have to go into the electronics to unlock more power and more power baby is always cooler so besides the gear go unlock the fear that lives inside of the ESC
You guys got alot of cool areas to mess about in across the pond here in the US it's roads open front yards and maybe a baseball field would love to see the Isle of Mann
Wow, things have certainly changed from the days when i was racing my 25 mph tamiya 4wd hot shot. Lol. I bought it the day my local hobby whop got it in. I think i was the first one to buy it there im pretty sure. I just couldnt wait for it to come out. 5hat car has axbillion pieces and parts. Lol. I still have it. Havent run it in probably ten years but thats a special car to me. I raced it on dirt and carpet. It wasnt much long after it came out that rc cars just went crazy with speed and technology and the hotshot was outdated almost before it came out. But it was all the rage for a bit. I cqnt believe these cars im seeing now. Would love to race one of these.

Kevin this is off topic I know but them cars that go in a circle and go 200 or 300 mi an hour they push start them and ungodly fast what kind of tires do they run would they work on your high speed record car just a thought take care be safe
@KevinTalbotTV : mate can you please help me to decide what to buy between a Xmaxx Ultimate or the last standard Xmaxx (V6 2024 belted) with few options ? (I won’t change the combo ESC/motor, that’s enough powerful for me, I don’t like front/backflips, just clean jumps)
What I’ll never understand is, you have TONS of traxxas vehicles, and there’s even a traxxas charger early in the video, but, you always cut off the battery connectors instead of just buying the traxxas batteries. 😂😂 They’re not that bad. If it’s price, I mean I guess I get it. Traxxas batteries are pricey. But it doesn’t appear money is an issue for you, Kev. 😂 🙌🏼 I have the regular XRT and the slash BL-2s. And the traxxas lipos work great in them. Just me, but it seems like a lot more trouble to cut all the connectors off the cars, and solder on new ones, than to have a small stash of traxxas batteries for them all. 🤷🏻♂️😂 Regardless, I know they’re your cars and you can do whatever you like to them. And as always, your videos are entertaining.
It has nothing to do with the batteries. When you have several rc's, It's way more convenient to have all your batteries and rc's use the same connector. TRX connectors can't handle high current at all.

2:42 I did this once with a modified way over geared 2wd XXX Losi and the tire blew off hit me right in the face and damn nearly broke my nose blacked both my eyes and busted my top lip, I looked like Mike Tyson had punched me in the face 😂🤣 True story… 😂 You have been warned kids!!! lol
