you are right ... the Cube Controls CSX 3 is the best wheel i ever had ... and i had many in the last 40 years ... i love it!!!

It is so good. With the new Asetek drive and mount, it becomes essentially "wireless" making it even better!!!!

I prefer a separate screen to a built-in one so that it's in a static position (plus it reduces the weight), but that's just me and this really is a great-looking screen/wheel. It would be nice to see customisable, StreamDeck-like buttons (as opposed to stickers), but perhaps that'll be on the next gen. Great video - really nice looking setup and enjoyable presentation/delivery - keep up the great work...

Streamdeck style buttons would be absolutely amazing. I think the main issue there would be the cost increase but still would be incredible. For us with most screens, we really only use them if seated in an f1 style position. With the Trakracer TRX for example screens are great. When seated in GT position, I hardly ever look at a screen whether it’s on the wheel or static mounted on the motor. Thanks for the comment!

It’s amazing. Gets better all the time. Did you get the new custom dashboard? If not, you can find it on our website or at Cube controls. Super easy to download and install through Sim hub.

Yes, I already downloaded the new dashboard from Cube. However I mostly use my Porsche and BMW Dashboards, thats the cool thing about SimHub compatability;)

Great video. I have a DD1 will this mount with my fanatec quick release (QR2) Naturally or do i need an adapter? And does that adapter come with the wheel or is it seperate?

Steve here It seems that if you get the Q2 wheel side adapter this should work. You’ll obviously need the Q2 base side which I assume you have. I can’t seem to find exact specs if mounting holes, and I’ll dig more today, but looks like it’s possible. Note - it will still need the USB plugged in from the wheel to PC. The QR2 would only be connecting the wheel to the base physically but nothing else. Let me see what else I can find (fanatec doesn’t work business to business so we currently don’t offer their items and do t receive products to test from them like others)

@KemoraR8 thanks for the info. Yeah fanatec is very much the Apple product of sim racing which is why im going away from them. Currently only have their wheel base and at some point will be moving off of it. Plus they are so far behind everyone else on build quality and something as simple as back lit leds. The DD1 works really well which is the only reason i still have it. But def want a better wheel with back lit leds. And better quality than the V2

@@JerridChambers I use the DD2 at home, and I hate to say this, with all the items we have at the shop, I don’t touch my rig anymore. I can’t stand how the DD2 feels compared to asetek invicta, the v3 pedals don’t come close to the Heusinkveld ultimates (never mind the active pedal) and the wheels, to your point aren’t up to par with GSI and cube controls. (Build quality) It’s a strong brand and a great bridge that fills many gaps especially with the CSL but as the industry grows they will have to make changes or risk a huge shift.

@KemoraR8 couldnt agree more. My last ecosystem was all fanatec. And ive phased everything out but the base and thats going to. Their product has its place. But making a basic medium quality wheel and charging a premium is going to be the end of them. And i went from v3 inverted to Husenvield plus pedal and night and day!

I have a GSI formula pro elite & i have USB issues (i have Intel processor) where my usb disconnects & buttons stop working. Has anyone experienced something like this or data output issues with the CSX 3? thanks!

Is it, by chance, plugged into a USB 3.0 port? Although will still work, USB 3.0 gives some of the units like GSI and Dbox issues. Trying switching to a USB 2.0 and see if that helps.
