Im going to pin your comment, and my reply, because I think it can be a pretty healthy conversation. I’m down to debate it. “Best purchasable rounds” is a little bit subjective in your example. You list the AP/FMJ. Throughout the entire wipe, those are not the fastest killing rounds for 9mm/45acp. RIP ammo in the .45 is a 4 bullet kill. In the 9mm it is a 5 bullet kill. At the 1100 rpm fire rate of the Vector, against someone who actually knows to aim for legs/flesh, you’re chances of surviving the fight are minimal. Pair that with the options of larger magazines, and I would ALMOST argue that the 9mm vector is better than the .45 in terms of laying down raw damage during a fight. RSASS is top tier, UNTIL you compare it with something similar such as SR25. Meta for Meta, the RSASS is slightly better. But as an entirety, they’re pretty similarly stacked against each other. Both of them boast similar stats throughout the early/mid/late game. Two fairly identical guns, stacked against each other. So this one comes purely from the perspective of roubles to build, and sustainability throughout the wipe, in regards to some of the pricing for the “meta” components. With the RSASS being the more expensive of the two, for essentially what is a VERY similar gameplay/feel as the SR25, despite some minor discrepancies. In a 1 on 1 fight, the differences between the two are negligible, UNLESS you’re a player who has just gotten acquainted with one or the other. SVT/AVT are going to have a spike in popularity at the moment, because they’re REALLY good guns, but they’re also brand new to the game. Same as how the SR2M was very popular last wipe, but has taken a slight decline this wipe. It’s just the nature of new content in game. AVT/SVT are also task/trader walled now, so they will inherently become even less popular. I’m curious to see how much they’re picked/used by players who obtain the levels to buy them. Will they STILL hold valuable once you’re able to purchase, or at that point will most players opt for different options. HK is more expensive than M4, at the trade off of only 50rpm (which again is minimal in a 1 on 1 fight). Very similar guns, with similar builds, with the HK being the least obtainable one in terms of roubles, leveling, etc. Similar to the RSASS/SR25 debate. BUT I will admit, I could have placed it higher and still been happy with the ranking. It was one of the more controversial rankings. I enjoy both. MP7 falls off pretty tough against Tier 5/6 armors. Up until late wipe, it’s GREAT. During late wipe however, against tier 5/6 armors for example, you’re only boasting a 50% pen chance against tier 6, and slightly more against tier 5. Also to note, there’s no good options for high flesh damage, so you’re really going to be dependent on what class armor you’re fighting against. It’s kind of a 1-trick-wonder gun during the late wipe. Hence why I don’t think it holds value as one of the best guns in Tarkov, while most other players think it holds value. ie. overrated. ASVAL was a mixy one to me, and I think it’s honestly just going to come down to personal preference for that one. I don’t think it is as good as some of the other options, and I don’t think it runs as fluidly as some of the other options. Although, there are a lot of people who are REALLY good with it. The good ammos are tough to get, and sometimes the parts can get wildly expensive. In real-fight comparison with an M4 for example, SP-6 vs M855a1 against class 5 is only about a 1-bullet difference as far as raw damage/pen values are concerned. All of this leading to why I think the Val/VSS are a bit overrated. They’re regarded as being “EXTREMELY GOOD” when in reality it’s a lot closer of a comparison than most people like to admit. But ultimately, this was a tier list that I made based on my experiences with guns and the game. It’s inevitable that every player is going to have their own takes on how things should be stacked.

@@Wubbziee I can appreciate the effort and thoroughness in your response and I agree. It’s different perspectives and neither one is right or wrong. I think we both have valid points and at the end of the day it is your list and it is preferential, experience & opinion based. People will inevitably disagree about others opinions because of varying outlooks & sentiment. You see certain guns effective by their flesh damage (vectors), I see certain guns effective by their fire rate and headshot ability (Mp7). I think value is an important characteristic when considering where something ranks (SR/RSASS). However I don’t think the SVT/AVT are so popular because they’re new, I think they’re popular because they’re objectively an overpowered weapon early wipe that translates throughout with the effectiveness of 7.62x54, they’re cheap early game SVDs with the closest competitor being a mosin. They’re just really good in all circumstances, quest locked or not now they will remain popular. Indifferent to how it swings, one way or the other, I just thought I’d share my opinions and thoughts on your outlook towards ranking guns. It’s a fun idea and fun video.

@@DKinger Really though, I appreciate the healthy debate. There's a lot of opinions and preferences that goes into choosing how the guns should stack up. It's almost purely playstyle preference, as you said. I might have under-scored the AVT/SVT. I recognize how good they are. I just don't think personally I would choose either of those over some of the other top-tier guns, despite how good the stats look (if that makes sense). Appreciate the argument though. Seriously!

MDR is crazy good for the whole wipe. I like to swap around between 5.56 and 7.62 depending on the map and what I’m doing!

That’s a high ergo build. I’ll have to try it. Try out the T-5000 for sure though! It’s pretty similar to what you just said! Solid sniper to run.

i love the M700 ModX Setup. i think its a little bit better than the t-5000.

@@sieghart367 I flea market my AP-M. It can be expensive but if you only take 2 mags you’re only losing 8-9 AP-M per death. You can catch people selling it for like 800 a round sometimes and that’s when I buy it. One ~60 round restock lasts me a couple of Gornostays. Honestly with the money you save from suppressing an M700 or similar 308 sniper, you can spend on AP-M and have more ammo to run in the future

There’s a few people who really enjoy it. I just think it stacks up very poorly next to almost every other 7.62x51 Auto. But it does have the option to rock the big drum mags. So maybe I tossed it a little low on the list.

Maybe I'm just a masochist when I say I enjoy the Classic fal unmodded. But that is a good reason as to why the FAL just isn't as good anymore, other 7,62x51 weapons that are just better overall and not as expensive @@Wubbziee

I can get with all that. I think the SVD is dumb fun to use, but it gets a lot of hate for some reason. Its nasty to use though. One of my favorite marksman’s. Later in the wipe P90 actually kills faster if you rock R37.F ammo and shoot flesh. 5 bullet kill. 👀

I’ve just never found the AUG to perform as well as the other 5.56 guns. The stats are better ‘on paper’ but it seems to perform worse to me than an M4 with similar stats. I also don’t find it to be as versatile as the other AR’s due to the lack of attachment options. There’s really only 1 ‘good’ way to build it.

I used to hate the SVD, because everyone else TOLD ME to hate the SVD. I let the outside opinions win. After using it a lot last wipe, it's actually a REALLY good gun. I enjoy it now.

its not underrated due to how many people use or have used it, and the way people use it is not for stalking like you do, its for general combat be that mid range - cqc full auto and it simply is not great, is heavily overpriced with the 40 rounders, putting a foregrip on it is impossible until you are at max traders and it jams a lot. I killed a guy earlier on who was running slick and tagilla helmet because his full durability VSS jammed midfight. I think this list is mainly based on the average players playstyle, which would be do tasks or loot for money, and fight when they want which most people would rather do than disengage, and for its price in a cqc-mid range its outclassed by a lot of other weapons. But that said for your playstyle with it, it definitely is a decent gun to use

@kodiwtf Absolutely agree, the VSS is overpriced and outclassed, but for a stalker-type playstyle, running it semi-auto, and tracking, stalking, and ambushing PMCs, it's a joy, mainly because most people have no idea how to react to subsonic fire. It's a hoot, but the VSS only really works in a very, very specific playstyle.

yeah but you are using an M4 then, and just scrapping the TX-15 lower. so the gun is still dreadful in a rouble-rouble comparison of other weapons that do the same job.

@@Wubbziee TX on mid tier mod is better than adar, but.. hard to place him better actually ( i compared cheaper adar with the same mod as the tx (not the meta one)) so 18" barrel and lonestar pieces, same price overall, barely better stat for the tx but.. only his sound will make me play it at this point actually lol

It’s one of those guns that is fun to use, and CAN be really good. But it’s almost too situational to rank higher in my opinion. As you said, you’re forced into super close-range engagements, and you’re just kind of screwed in anything other than close-range. Whereas some of the other guns give you at least a small chance mid-range.

I run into factory with a double barrel and 20 rounds of magnum regularly. Most of the time, get a few kills and steal some decent gear. When I die, I've usually blackened someone's legs and can hear them groaning. I also love to do it with the sawed-off, though that one you have to be closer to do anything, but can be fun, and sits in the pistol slot so you can grab 2 guns and get out

If you’re playing solo a weapon jam can fuck you up even faster. I’ve only played the VAL once during last wipe, SP-6, 100/100 durability. It jammed on every single 30 round mag I shot in full auto.

Vss is better in every way due to it having dmr recoil with full auto

It’s not underrated. It’s hard balanced by the gamble you take every single time when trying to shoot a mag in full auto

I need to run back through and try the Aug a bit more. Maybe I placed it wrongly. A lot of people are saying I goofed that one.

It’s usually talked down more than guns like the M4/MDR/etc. but I prefer the AK101

Another thing to point out, MCX & AKS-74U are also classed as Assault Rifles so it levels with that skill. Hence why if you get max AR skill and recoil control skill, the gun practically becomes a laser beam. Both skills at max level give you 30% reduction in recoil and with a good set of mods you can almost lower it to 45% reduction. Also AKS-74U has hidden values which make it better, the UN and UB variants have much lower recoil, the UB having the least amount of horizontal recoil. The fact they made it available at Level 1 prapor means that you probably might see people using the UB variant quite alot early to mid game @@Wubbziee

If you’re talking over 200m, I will agree. But for a budget sniper, it’s one of the best ammo’s you can access for a low-mid budget sniper. To put into perspective, its the only sniper/bolt action round in the game that is a 1-shot thorax on class 4 armor (aside from .338 lapua) unless you fragment.

At the time of me recording the video, it was mediocre. Now, you're correct. It's actually one of my favorite full-auto guns in the game! Its super fun to play with!

I’m actually not sure why the 102 didn’t make it on the list. I think I might have just generalized it in with the 101 since they’re such similar platforms.

I literally was just running a mp9-n with my sv-98 bolt action sniper lol

The gun is 60k + Suppressor at 40k & Mags are 20k each. Just the build plus 4 mags is 180k. Load mags with L191 and the cost shoots up 13k per mag, so an additional 50k. Since SB190 was taken off of flea, L191 is the best pen you've got, and that only pens class 4 50% of the time, and around 20-30% pen chance on class 5/6. I had 32 shots fired and 17 hits against a class 5 PMC the other day, and lost the fight. I guess you could argue how it's "good" close range, but outside of close range fights, you're rocking sub-par ammo, in a gun that is sub-par for range, at a higher price than something like an MP7 *which is shooting better ammo* So in a sense, you're not wrong. I said it was "expensive" to build, and it's not really. It is however expensive to run, and I think it's extremely situational for the price.

There's a few comments on this video alone arguing about it. None of the people who enjoy it are "wrong". It's not a bad gun if built right, I just personally think it stacks poorly when compared to other builds of similar price. It's all personal preference though!

I had the AKS grouped incorrectly in the video. It’s an assault rifle technically. I had it mixed in with the SMG’s. There is a VERY good build for it, although quite expensive, that is better than majority of the AK platforms currently (minus having long-range capabilities). That’s probably what he was using.

I just personally never thought the G36 stacked up well against the other 5.56 guns. Not saying it’s “bad”. Just also not saying it’s good. But I do have a few people I play with who really like it.

​@@Wubbziee The G36 and the AUG are very cost effective for the early-mid wipe. AUGs can be kitted out sometimes below 100k and can hit 34vert to 48-ish (stock) vert at great ergo counts too. G36 is the same idea, PK.2 you can get an extremely cheap G36 kit that hits sub 50 recoil at a pricetag 1/3rd an M4 at that spot. As soon as you start getting into mid-late M855A1 territory though and consistent M4 meta builds, they fade out just because everyone's juiced like no other. They still remain the two guns I'll use to have fun with without breaking the bank though :)

KEDR is significantly more controllable than ANY of the 9x18 pistols. Same can be said for almost EVERY pistol in the game. There is an SMG equivalent that is almost always significantly better, for roughly the same cost point. (Unless you're talking about one of the odd-balls such as the RSH-12)

tbh 101 is really good until you go CQC, you’ll get outclassed by other guns with better calibers or faster fire rates

I didn’t forget them. 5-7 I said was one of my favorite pistols, but I put it in the normal category. It’s good, but isn’t stacking up with the other full-size primary guns. Same for the M3 Super. It’s just normal to me as well. Not a bad gun, but also not good enough for me to run it every raid!

For the most part, better. I didn't want to create the traditional S-F tier list, because that is an extremely preference/opinion based way of doing it. overrated/underrated to me seemed like a fair way to highlight that they're all good guns, just some are overly-hyped due to popularity, and some in the underrated are regarded as "bad" when they can be built to be very good. Kind of confusing way I did it, but it made the most sense to me.

I've watched my own video 2-3 times back. Every time I watch it, I see a few guns that I'm like "I might have been a little off on that one" 74u is one of those. HOWEVER, it doesn't become GREAT until you start throwing waffle suppressors and other high-trader/high-price attachments at it. Good recoil, sure. But not significantly good enough for me to rank higher than a full platform. and the versatility is still less than Full platform builds, in regards to range/moa. To note though, I do enjoy using the 74u , and can understand the stance that I ranked it too low.

I disagree with the waffle. I feel like the waffle suppressor is amazing but the JMAC muzzle break is cheap and effective enough. you only gain 5 recoil from using the waffle over the JMAC which i don't think is reason enough to justify the cost. Especially on a low fire rate weapon like the AK-74u. its great without the waffle, especially when its in the 60 ish range of ergo.@@Wubbziee

@@junglist729 THAT is an opinion I can get with. I prefer JMAC over almost every other muzzle attachment for ANY of the 5.45 AK's, for every reason you said. A lot of the grips are like that as well for the AK platforms. Expensive "meta" grips are 10x cost of some cheaper grips, at the return of only 2-3 recoil difference.

Don’t get me wrong. The Ash is an animal. Thing is NASTY if you use it right. It’s just one of those guns I think twice about using. That recoil gets ROWDY in some situations.

Solid take, and I while I was making the video I realized how much I agree with what you said. I also think pistols/sidearms should be in a completely different video by themselves, because I do like using them, just never when I have another gun available. BUT, as for comparing them 1 on 1, I think it could be a cool video. MCX/AKSU are my fault. I'm an idiot, and for some reason they got mixed into the SMG bundle when I was making the Photoshop template, and I never thought twice about it! As for the other people commenting weird, such is life. I guess they just have a bone to pick, and need that little splurge of recognition. lmao. Appreciate the insight!

M700 variants are good, but in my opinion they’re not as good as the T-5000. I accidentally stumbled on a T-5000 build last wipe, and NEVER realized how good it actually was. It’s got pretty gnarly stats for a sniper. Not sure why it’s not used as much as the others!

I've been playing around with it (the t-500 sounds just so sexy doinking people) and the they have almost identical ergo stats. with a pro m700(you can add a foregrip to this body) and you have essentially a slightly less accurate t-500. Without a suppressor both hit 70 ergo, with it's still really close. BUT the t-700 costs roughly the same at that skier level as just the PRO body build from jager lv4 so the t-5000 might be just more cost effective.

​@@deathpope3922 My build is super simple. Just the T5000 with the WAVE QD Suppressor + whatever scope. Comes out to 51 ergo / 0.65 MOA for only 120k~ roubles! (not including scope price) M700 Suppressed (Same WAVE QD) with the PRO build can get up into that 57~ ergo range, at 0.85 MOA, for around 140k roubles. (not including scope price) So, you're right. They're VERY similar in stats and price. Only difference is T5000 is going to be high ergo in original form. M700 is going to require some parts to match it. BUT, gun for gun they build out very similarly in forms of stats, aside from the MOA differences.

You’re comparing the best ammo to the best ammo. Compare them with a tier lower of ammo, and you’ll see why I ranked it lower.

@@Wubbziee we are talking about late wipe... there is no reason to argue about other ammos except of the top tier. But for your point, FMJ-SX isnt that much worse than 855a1 especially when you look at the RPM. The (according to wiki) 1 bullet difference at armor level 5 AND 6 is neglecteble bc of that and on top of it, its WAY easier to stack up on FMJ SX than 855a1. Also the MP7 is 10x cheaper to build since a grip, silencer and sight is all you need to run it. THE ONLY downside to it is the mags (60rounders for a M4 arent that cheap either tbh), but when you stack up for a couple of restocks your pretty much set for multiple raids.
