For the past 3 years, I've been on a quest to find a teleprompter for my virtual presentations that could tick all my boxes.
I've tried a ton of different options, and let me tell you: most of them were either super awkward to use, messed up my video quality, or both.
But now I've finally got the teleprompter that does it all. If you watched my unboxing video, you'll know just how excited I was to finally get my hands on this game-changer.
Since then, I've been having a blast experimenting with it, Testing and tweaking my setup to make my online presentations even more engaging.
In this video, I'm pulling back the curtain to show you my current 'perfect setup.' I'll walk you through the ins and outs of using this teleprompter effectively, and share my top tips for integrating it seamlessly into your own setup to enhance your online delivery and create a stronger connection with your audience.

Thanks for the great tips Felippe!!! Amazing idea. I was also going to ask, I misssed your master class a few weeks ago. Are you by any chance going to do another one? I would love to join!! I watched a bunch of your awesome videos and recommend it to a few other people. So happy I found you! One of my biggest problems is when setting up OBS as a camera with-in zoom following all your directions I get this nasty delay with my video (sound delay) and what I’m sharing in the screen. Any advice on how to fix this? Thank you 🎉🎉🎉 🙏🙏

I purchased a 16" Teleprompter all metal for 140.00 with the ability to accept monitors of up to 16" by 10.2" . I also bought a 15.6" monitor with 1000 nits capabilities and the ability to flip the image on Vertical, Horizontal, and Vertical + horizontal axis all built into the monitor. No need to go through an HDMI Flip Box or Software. I wanted to use the Teleprompter as a normal working monitor when not Live Streaming etc... Also normal monitors produce 400 to 700 nits and appear a bit dull after hitting the two-way mirror... with 1000 nits the image appears nice bright and sharp ... cheers amigos !!!

Thank you. How many metres are you from the teleprompter? I am about 2.0m from my camera and I think that it may be too far away from the teleprompter for it to help me.

I was inspired by this tutorial enough to buy all the accessories described. I've followed the directions for OBS on my Windows computer but when I get to the step of adding a Source using "Window Capture", I noticed that in the Properties of Preview, none of the options starting with "[OBS Studio] Windowed Projector" under the "Window" selector were available from the drop down menu. I can however see both of the Windowed projectors open and running on my display. There's just no way to choose them. Please help me Felipe! I'm so keen to get this working on Windows!! 😭😭

Hi Chris! Worry not, there is another way: use a display capture instead of a window capture. You’ll have the window preview at some corner of the screen with nothing on top of it, and crop the area that it is with the display capture. Let me know if that makes sense

@@FelippeNardi thank you, I’ve got this Windowed Capture process working well now on Windows. Obviously, it has shortcomings though like not being able to combine separate sources into a single view as you did with overlaying your notes on top of the Zoom video feed. There’s also the challenge of having to find a way to easily swap between the various “top most” Windowed Capture screens showing on the Elgato Prompter. I tried using the AutoHotKey plugin for Stream Deck… I got this working, but the script kept giving me errors. I think I’ll be looking for another plugin that makes this a bit easier - like perhaps “Force Window OnTop”

How did you add the "Googling Eyes" in front of your scene name entitled 'prompter'?

Just press “windows” + period to bring the emojis panel, or CMD + shift + space on a Mac

I have the issue where Keynote frequently does not appear in the list of applications surfaced by the Application capture source. Any ideas why this would be?

It is possible that you are using multiple desktop feature. When you use that, the window cannot be captured by any software on Mac

strange...when I tried to set up window capture in the prompter scene for the preview, there was no "OBS" preview window even tho its already projected as a separate window...

yes. Now I'm trying to use display capture and I can see the preview. However, now I'm trying to capture the presenter notes. My ppt presenter notes is black background when it appears (I cant seem to find a way to reverse this back to white), and so I guess the LUT doesnt apply. But when I tried to apply the Luma key, the notes do not appear on the notes scene. @@FelippeNardi

Can you please just explain how to get your script to stream so you can read it like a basic teleprompter?

The way that I do it is by using the Keynote notes to add my script on each slide and then I stream that to a prompter like I explain in the video

The prompter software is much simpler than that, maybe you are not looking for a solution that includes previewing your OBS screen.

So just to be clear, you're using OBS purely for this functionality of what the prompter is displaying to you but not what the audience is seeing, is that right? Once you use OBS for this, don't you lose the ability to use it to control what the audience is seeing? I think I'm missing something.

You can use OBS for both what the audience sees and what YOU see separately. The audience will see the scene you are currently on. You can create window previews of other scenes that only you see

If you are talking about the Elgato Prompter, it could fall because it won’t be attached. But you have other teleprompter options that supports iPad

You could use it by clicking on screen on OBS, it is the same. Stream deck just make it a lot easier

I want to use a teleprompter in a church service to see my PowerPoint slides and maintain eye contact. All using a webcam. The teleprompter needs it be about 19 inches in size. My monitor comes from a computer and not an iPad. I need the display to go to the mirror of the teleprompter. Ant ideas

You just need to look for a 19 inches teleprompter. Just remember that the bigger, the less your eyes will appear as looking to the center
