Reason crowd is mostly behind Rafa is.. He is a role model both on and off Court... That's why if u observe the type of spectators both Rafa and Roger have wherever these play vs Novak... They are disciplined. And enjoy a great game.. But if you observe where ever Novak.. Plays.. His fans are by and large are rowdish. And attempt to abuse indirectly the opponent... This is a result of Novak's own behavior... Aggressive fans too..

It was 10 times worse than anything Djokovic has ever done. Jimmy Connors' behavior was not great too. That was a very different time. Novak is use to have the hostile crowd, last year the crowd was with him against Rafa. He lost the game before the game started when he was happy with the fact that it will be played during the night and Rafa has less advantage than him due to the weather and court conditions. Yeah.. Federer and Djokovic may have done great things also, and dominated for periods of time, but Nadal truly is the GOAT even if all the numbers dont necessarily say that when all is said and done. He has had to overcome much more with injuries, Chronic foot injury which by rights should have forced him to retire but he fights with an iron will to keep doing what he loves.. For the love of the game and nothing else. And had it not been for said injuries, and lengthy periods out or only operating at 50% health level then Rafa would probably be on 30+ grand slams right now and no one would ever be catching him. Legend in every way

Rafa did suffer from the foot injury last year, which flared up during the course of that semi final. ( If you remember, he went into a 5-1 lead in the first set). He didn't mention it, as he was trying to keep it quiet. It was Guy Forget who revealed it, a few days later. In fact he has had this problem all his career. I remember very well Uncle Toni talking about it many years ago, and saying it could end Rafa's career, and apparently Rafa was furious with him, because he didn't want it made public.
