An interesting and very neat design. Certainly like the field of visibility though at first sight the glass cockpit arangement is a bit disconcerting. Being used to the Kodiak I could imagine you could take to a tricycle gear plane like that Ryan - I wonder what version of the control stick layout and instrumentation you'd go for? Thanks for the look around.
I was a student pilot decades ago, although I never got my private pilot's license, mainly due to lack of $$$. I soloed in a Piper Tomahawk in 1979. The Tomahawk is _nothing to write home about,_ but the VISIBILITY from it -- at least for me the student pilot -- was excellent. I also did some training in a Cessna 150, mainly for spins. {Spins are prohibited in the Tomahawk.} I did not care that much for the limited visibility of the 150. Sometime between 1980 and 1995, I cannot remember the exact year, I got to sit in a Zenith 701 at SUN 'N' FUN in Lakeland, Florida. I was IMMEDIATELY IMPRESSED at how much the OVERHEAD VISIBILITY the 701 has, due to the angle of the wing roots.
Best bang for the buck on the market. I have had two 750’s and currently have a 701 with 100hp rotax. These things are a blast to fly. Slow as molasses but fun. I’m 6’1” 230# and full of fuel and 30ft I’m off the ground. Landing a zenith is tricky if your a Cessna pilot your gonna smack the ground until u learn to land with a shot of power but once on the ground at 30mph you can stop it in 30 ft.
I seen that at Sun n Fun did not get a chance to ask questions so thanks for covering it, I have been looking at the 750, kitfox (yours) and super stol, I am going to be buying one of them soon. Would like to fly in a 750 before I make that decision but I am sure any of these would be great anyway.
@@MissionaryBushPilot>>> FWIW: I have been living in North Carolina since 1995, but I was born {1961} and raised in St. Pete, Florida. I lived outside Florida from 1983 to 1988, but moved back and lived in Dade County, Florida from 1988 to 1995. Because of this I was able to visit SUN 'N' FUN a few different times. As much as I like living in NC now, I miss Florida. NOT being within a day's drive {or less} distance from Lakeland is one of the things I miss the most.
I was there had i followed your other videos more closely i may have seen an announcement by you that you were going to be at sun and fun.I would have liked to have met you. I would have had a lot of neet stuff to talk ,ask and share with you "DARN".Iam sure you must have been over at the ultra lights.
Is see the moveable glass avionic screen as a major headache as in direct sunlight with all that glass it will be unreadable ! That's why he didn't turn it on !
