Demiurge is one of the most loyal npcs in Nazarick. He may look like the guy in every anime that will betray you but he's not. The only thing he is, is the most evilest one and my fav character after Ainz.

Throughout this series you're going to think that ainz is playing 4D chess and everyone else is playing checkers. But then you'll come to realize that in reality everyone else is playing 4D chess while ainz is playing tic-tac-toe.

Well friend, we are finally in the season finale, the moment so great and at the same time so sad. Luckily there are 2 more seasons left! The first thing we see is that the second prince is patrolling the streets of the city dressed in armor and surrounded by guards. This is a calculated move because he knows that there are 2 defensive lines containing the demons, but the people don't know it and they see him "risking his life" in a heroic way, while his brother, the supposed crown prince he is the best warrior between the two brothers, he seems to be hiding. In this way, his popularity will skyrocket and his path to the throne will have begun. Then we see Lakyus who is taking a lot of risks because the power of her group is based on teamwork. But Tía and Gagaran have just been revived and have lost levels, so they can't fight by her side and she doesn't have Evileye either. But he is leading the adventurers and the first thing they discover is that all the inhabitants inside the circle of fire are missing. As they run through the streets, Brain Unglaus spots Shalltear Bloodfallen, who has done a great job of disguising herself so no one will recognize her, but Brain was so shocked by his encounter with the vampire that he couldn't help realize it's her. The swordsman assumes that Shalltaer has come to kill him, so he separates himself from Climb in an attempt to sacrifice himself so that the vampire does not see the young man and harm him. Shalltear can't remember who Brain is due to the effects of mind control, but the swordsman assumes that she simply forgot about him as a very weak insect. He still decides to face her knowing that he cannot win and does something that he would never have done before: Combine a technique from Gazef Stronoff (his eternal rival) with his own in an attempt to at least cut Shalltear's nail four cuts concentrated in a single point. And he succeeds, so the vamp scoffs that "at least it works as a nail clipper." But Brain remembers their first meeting with her (When Shalltear told him that he was like a blunt nail clipper) and consider the words of the vampire as the highest compliment he could have received in his life, to the point of crying with joy. Shalltear looks at him in bewilderment as she thinks he is talking to a mad man, since his nails are natural weapons that regenerate automatically, so he hasn't really hurt she, but in that moment Shalltear is distracted when she hears a noise and tries to sense Ainz's presence, although she can't because the Overlord has a ring that suppresses his aura. At that precise moment, Brain takes the opportunity to try to escape but Shalltear decides to kill him. Just as Shalltear is about to catch him, she spots Climb and the Thief who have been following Brain, because they didn't understand his message. And surprisingly Shalltear calls off the chase. We need remember that Demiurge showed the image of someone and made it very clear that "It is forbidden to kill that person". The "fight" between Demiurge and Ainz occurs. The maid Entoma begins to raise her arms to look bigger in front of Evileye, just like insects do when they go to fight a rival, but in the end Yuri Alpha and Shizu Delta are selected to fight the adventuress. And her fight is quite difficult because, as I explained in the previous chapter, Evileye is a specialized elementalist and her earth powers don't work well with undead like Yuri who is a dullahan. The adventurer doesn't know this and uses many magics that drain life energy, but they are of no use against the Battle Maid. Later we see that the adventurers are at their limit, but then Gazef Stronoff unexpectedly comes to save them because the old king, in a heroic gesture, has come in person bringing his personal guard to fight in the front line. Tia and Gagaran also join the fight despite being very weak after their recent resurrection. In the private meeting between Demiurge and Ainz, he explains that he is planning to leave an object that would be the "target" of that attack and plans to use one that Ulbert made, but Ainz gives him a more primitive version of it so Demiurge doesn't have to leave an object of its creator. In addition, we are confirmed that none of the demons are part of the Nazarick forces, but temporary summons of Demiurge's servants, so no matter how many die Ainz will not lose any servants. The rest of the conversation is self-evident. It's all a plan to get money, humans to experiment, punish the 8 fingers and make "Momon" look like a hero among the masses who drove away the demon Jaldabaoth. Something very curious is that Climb manages to rescue a group of humans that was locked in a shed, but Demiurge previously said that he had already taken all the humans. That means those people were left there on purpose for someone to rescue them. In Demiurge's final fight with Ainz, which is quite a choreography, we see that he pretends to make up for his "lack of magical powers" with elemental weapons and for that he takes out a copy of Zaryusu Shasha's Frost Pain, which is stronger than the original, to create a better effect. Then at the end we are shown a whole series of events that happen very quickly and therefore can be overlooked. First in Ainz's farewell we can see that Evileye is actually a vampire. The leaders of the 8 fingers (except for Cocodoll who is in jail) were captured and will be sent with an area guardian whose name means "Duke of Terror" to be eaten from the inside out again and again thanks to the support of the healing magic, until they were turned into submissive servants of Nazarick. We see Climb trying to hide that a lot of the town is blaming the nobles, including Princess Renner, for the disappearance of so many people; but she clearly already knows and laughs at Climb's attempt to trick her. In the bar it is revealed to us that Evileye joined Blue Rose because she lost a bet with Rigrit, the old woman we saw in the first chapter, who defeated her in combat and forced her to join the group. So, Evileye is the "crying brat named Imbernu" the old lady was referring in his conversation with the Platinum Dragon lord. Brain Unglaus also seems to know the old Rigrit and also lost a duel against the old lady. Gagaran makes Evileye see that she could have accompanied Momon to E-Rantel and then returned with teleportation magic. That way she could have visited him every day if she wanted, but Evileye didn't come up with something so obvious and that's why she ends up screaming. And in the last scene we see the ruler of the Baharuth Empire along with his Court Wizard, who are discussing the rumors of the wizard Ains Own Goal and the adventurer Momon. You should always remember, althought the protagonist, Ains and all Nazarick are the bad guys here :p There are amy many factions, and many awful people in each nation, and very kind people as well, even some in Nazarick, but Ains is the evil overlord regardless

Demiurge is one of the NPC that most loyal to Ainz. There are 3 the most loyal NPC to Ainz they are Pandora actor (Ainz creation), Albedo(in love with Ainz), and Demiurge (100% loyal to all suprime being especially Ainz who the leader). it is difficult to believe for Demiurge to betray Ainz, he just have that look as very Evil Demon. The other NPC most loyal to their Suprime being created them but all suprime being are god for them and sees Ainz as the king god.

After his first encounter with Shalltear Brain recognizes her aura, it's imprinted on his psyche. Shalltear was in disguise because Demiurge had told her stay away to to worries her Blood Frenzy could get out of hand again but Shalltear just couldn't stay away. You'll meet Kyouhukou next season and find out exactly how Mare tortured the blonde lady. There are some rooms in Nazarick where really dark things can happen to people who get on the wrong side of Nazarick. The dog maid (Pestonya) is one of the few denizens of Nazarick with a positive karma and some of Nazarick are shipping Sebas and Tuare (including Ains).

It's true. Every overlord episode always feels like it's only 5 minutes long, you get so into it and leaves you with a lot of new things to ponder and hope for.

There are so many little details that I love in this episode. First is just how much Demiurge is hamming it up and Ainz is immediately in on it because he loves theatrics just as much as Demiurge. Second; the scene with the maids just chilling, really shows that while they are very different, they do act like sisters when in private. Lastly I love how openly Peatonya (the dog maid) ships Sebas and Tuare and how oblivious Sebas is to it all.

What many leave without attention is why everyone calls Climb talentless. In this world talents are rare and vary greatly, leaving most spending their lives without even realizing they ever had one. For Climb though, he's what this world people consider reached his limit, where no amount of effort will get him higher, lest he has a talent or powerful magic items. For example Gazef with warrior type talent can break opponents hands from just clashing swords with him and doesn't have to put as much effort as Climb. The fact that Gazef is of common family and is recognized both nation wide and in other countries implies just how rare combat talents are.

It is Shalltear in disguise as her face is known. Also Brain recognised her 'aura' for lack of a better word, and was correct.

I always love how genuinely hype Brain gets from just cutting a fingernail of Shalltear, and rightfully so considering the power difference

So Demiurge setting up a demon threat is a huge important factor in the upcoming movie later next year. Of course that arc takes place in between S4's arc 1 and 2. They split that arc away for the movie as it's the arc where demiurge gets to take the spotlight.

Once you have watched through the end of season 4, go back and watch S2 E 12 and 13 again; it will put many of these scenes into new context.

Demiurge explained exactly why they attacked. Rewatching Overlord dialogue always helps understand the world better - they are very subtle and quick with the info. Princess is a genius. She can always adjust her plans in the future. The old man the young royal will be introduced properly next season, so no point in covering them now. Just know they are great characters: The blonde royal is one of my faves of the series. The wedding... that kind of stuff is for happy shows. Sadly, this is Overlord 😈

Just remember the little bits: 1. Hilma of the Eight Fingers, first to undergo "loyalty training" in Koyuhaku's room. 2. The population of the Capital relocated to perform fun, happy, useful things for Nazarick. 3. The Vampire Honyokapon (Shalltear) was "killed" by Momon, so Shalltear has to be in disguise. 4. The "Off Limits" target in the city is: ..... 🤔😏🤔

Princess Renner is like evil disney princess

In my opinion this episode shows Demiurge and Ainz amaizingly in one scene. What I mean is the item he planned on using. So it's an item Demiurges creator Ulbert Alain Oodle created to replicate the effects of a word class item. One of the prototypes was given to one of his best friends Momonga, and the final version was given to Demiurge after he realised the game didn't allow for him to finish on his original goal. Now in the eyes of Demiurge it was a gift given by his own creator, the one person he's meant to serve and obey all his life. Created by and given by his god. But for Nazarick he's willing to sacrefice that item bechause the purpose of his existence is to serve the Supreme Beings. Now Ainz not only has given him a prototype created by his own creator but a way to keep one of his most treasured belongings. And in my eyes it's just an amaizing scene for this under lying bit

Ains ultimate goal mentioned in was it ep1 0r 2 I forgot, is to SPREAD the name of Ains ooal gown throughout the world and demiuge misunderstood that as taking over the world. He said it out loud too and ains is cool with it if it help spreading that name so that one day his IRL friends may find him assuming some of them are trapped in this world as well. Ains is NICE but NOT a GOOD GUY. He's fine with some innocent dying as long as its for the greater good of Nazarick.

The woman in the mask who got her nail clipped by Brain was Shalltear in disguise... You can tell by her voice...

Ok so "Momon " showing up at all wasn't part of the plan, he was actually asked by Marquis Raeven (the guy who talked to Renner with the prince a lil ago) to come help raid the eight arm locations. He jumped into the commotion without knowing what was going on and kinda landed in Demiurges plan by accident. That's also part the reason Raeven is there to see of Ainz at the end, he is his 'employer' during his stay in the capital. That is Shalltear Brain recognises and engages, shalltear whilst pursuing him she sees Lockmeier (the rogue) and Climb then withdraws instead. Tip Demiurge said there was a person who they are not to kill, and try avoid injuring them we don't see who this is at this point. Brains excitement at manages to clip Shalltears fingernail is never really understood by anyone since everyone else who ever fights a Floor Guardian or Ainz dies. So no-one understands how momentous a task it is. The tactic being used to fight the demons is pretty harsh, basically adventurer teams (lvl 4-12ish) push out slaying demons till exhausted before falling back past barricades manned by soldiers (lvl 1) to recuperate. The low level soldiers are knowingly being used as fodder to delay the demons and protect the much more skilled adventurers as they prepare to sortie out again. The item was an attempt to recreate a rumored world item that could summon an unlimited number of demons, the one Demiurge was using had a tenth tier spell in it. Ainz traded it for the prototype so it could still serve as a INCREDIBLY powerful item in new world terms without letting them have access to 10th tier magic since the item was to be left behind (later given to the magic guild to study).

Demiurge's logical justifications are what makes his evil so insidious. You can't deny the benefits that he describes, but his methods are so hard to accept. It might be necessary to have a Machiavellian role in controlling the hearts of people, but Ainz seems to just barely hold back the worst of it - thus far. I fear that forcing Demiurge to play "good" and benevolent roles would risk rebellion in the future.

From this point on, it would be useful to remember that Ains is a Lawful Evil character. A lawful evil villain methodically takes what he wants within the limits of his code of conduct without regard for whom it hurts. He cares about tradition, loyalty, and order but not about freedom, dignity or life. He plays by the rules but without mercy or compassion. He is comfortable in a hierarchy and would like to rule, but is willing to serve. He condemns others not according to their actions but according to race, religion, homeland or social rank. He is loath to break laws and promises. This reluctance comes partly from his nature and partly from those who oppose him on moral grounds.

Keep in mind that all of the NPCs have memories of Yggdrasil, they remember their creators, and when they leave the game, most of them remained stationary in their last place of interaction, then, instead of leaving, Ainz starts to interact with them; that is why they are so loyal to Ainz.
