I see many people use this kit this way but I believe you can also bend your tube while it's actually laying on the plate by aiming your heat gun at it. The mandrels conduct heat in a way that while heating the tube on one end, the mandrel will heat the tube on the other end that your gun can't reach. It makes the process more stable, especially if you use the tube end stops in the kit. There will be instances where you can't do that since you need to remove the tube from the rig before putting the next mandrel, but that's understandable.
As far as I know EK doesn't have 14mm hardtube, it's either 12 or 16mm which both would work just fine. It's made for the 13 or 16mm of the alphacool tubes (or other brands). You can use it on other sizes but the fitment won't be as precise
