Mildred was the WORST one on this show. Disgusting behavior. And Mal was seriously the most understanding and chill person I’ve ever seen in this kind of situation. She was so calm, patient and understanding of Yoly’s feelings for Xander. Because I could never be that chill about my partner having feelings for someone else!😅

Maybe because I'm older and in a long term relationship, but I can't understand why feeling that your partner is your best friend means things have gone south!?!? You are absolutely right. Its maturity to understand that a relationship does not consist of only the honeymoon phase. My parents have been married 45 years. My dad had a stroke 3 years ago, so my mama mostly takes care of him while my brother and I help. I cannot bring myself to do any care that reveals my dad's private parts🤢 My mama says, "oh that's because he's your dad, and not your honey"

We can laugh at stupid stuff and crack jokes that may seem stupid at the time, but we just click and always having not just a relationship with a significant other but also having that person as your best friend is always good, because you always create new memories throughout your entire relationship

The true villains were Yoly and Mildred. Mildred literally committed DV against her partner and pushed the stereotype of Latina women being verbally ab*sive and explosive to excuse her own terrible behaviour (tiff had their own problems but Mildred had no right to do what she did to Tiff). And Yoly SUPPORTED Mildred doing what she did. Also proved Mal right in what Mal thought Yoly would do, which was “fall in love” with whoever was available to her and fast, and could give her want she wanted aka money for a kid and whatever else. Mal was right to not trust Yoly’s emotions and then Yoly basically cheating and manipulating Mal and Xander AFTER getting engaged to Mal. Vanessa was just annoying, she was very loud and outgoing, which rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. And Yoly calling Vanessa a snake is very ironic. Vanessa is not the worst person like the show made her to be (immature and shouldn’t be in a relationship sure) and the cast just collectively jumping to hate her was strange even though some of them supported truly toxic people.

I think the age difference made Mal to friendzone Lexi. The moment they met with Mal's friend, Mal took her advice that 24 is way too young for a serious relationship with her. Although I love Lexis personality, she needs to mature mentally a little bit before she can date someone like Mal. Them being friends is an amazing outcome. ❤

Wondering if Mildred had some heavy childhood abuse that left her thinking she has to be tough all the time and not allow herself to be vulnerable. It was so sad watching her and Tiff get so toxically entangled. I hope she gets some kind of help to grow into a better person. She's not ready for a relationship till she addresses her abusive behaviors.

Lexi was so immature and insecure, she just kept hyperfocusing on what Rae was/wasn't doing. sunshine needs to take a look at her own issues, and really work on herself too. She is absolutely acting her age, and it's normal for her to have those types of issues when this young. it doesn't make her a bad person, but I hope she gets herself into some therapy.

Vanessa might’ve put her foot in her mouth a couple times, but I def think she hides a facade of nervousness and using laughter to hide her anxiety. I think she was honest with her feelings by the end of the show and was able to healthily reflect on herself - much more healthy than a good handful of the other contestants on the show.

People are attacking Mal in the comments about their trial marriage to Lexi but it was pretty obvious that she was never going to choose Lexi over Yoly. I personally think that Mal could see that Lexi was going through a lot because of the vanessa and rae situation and was just trying to help her feel better by going along with whatever Lexi did. They were a sweetheart to everyone, never bullied Xander even though it was obvious that they were hurt by the relationship between Yoly and Xander. They were the nicest person after Sam on that show, emotionally mature and she was right the whole time about Yoly being a faller. Mal stan for life.

Lexi pretends to be super mature but she’s not. Especially considering she didn’t know when to cut off Rae. Rae was really just blowing in the wind with rather she wanted to be with Lexi or not. Mal is a catch so I can see why Lexi likes Mal. But in reality I don’t see them ever working out long term. She’s simply not Mal’s type even though Mal probably wouldn’t mind dating her, I wouldn’t see that really going anywhere for Lexi realistically. Also Lexi’s parents seemed very annoyed with that being a possibility. Lexi also seemed very reliant on her parents especially for planning her possible wedding etc… like chill we know her parents would not agree with her marrying a black woman who is 12 years older than her. Especially since she has never even dated 1 black woman ever. Mal is not checking for her like she thinks.

The truth is that both Yoli and Vanessa are manipulative in different ways. Yoli peeped that and disliked Vanessa for being similar. AND Vanessa gets away with more cuz she is white. Yes their personalities are different but their actions are similar: when you look at their actions, they did the same thing. Does Yoly get a pass because she came off as kinder through the manipulation to both people manipulated? Just cuz Yoly is softer with it doesn't mean she is not manipulative. She told her GF she had nothing to worry about and was telling Xander she loved her and didn't know what to do. Thats what gets a lot of people messed up with manipulative people - giving someone a pass because they appear to be confused or people that know how to stay calm and appear nice during manipulation a pass.

Both Vanessa and Mildred seem to clearly have Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). As a survivor of many years of abuse from a romantic partner with NPD, it was painful to see Vanessa and Mildred abuse and manipulate others on the show. I hope this show helps others to see the signs of narcissistic abuse and gives them the courage to cut narcissists out of their lives. I hope it doesn't glorify or boost the careers of narcissists, which Netflix should be more mindful of. For those who think highly of Vanessa, I urge you to research what is called a covert, passive-aggressive narcissist. Narcissists are sneaky, and can even be charming at times, but they are actually pathological liars and dangerous people. To any people out there who are being abused, or think they might be, you are not alone, you deserve better, and you will get through this even when you think you can't.

Glad Xander left Vanessa she takes her for granted her own father even told her that .when it hit her she couldn’t handle it . She didn’t think no one wanted Xander . Please I’m straight and I like Xander she has a beautiful heart soul mind and strong willed she dealt with Vanessa long enough . Glad she left it for to better herself

Love the Mal and Lexi lovers in these comments. We can’t know what goes on behind the scenes but from what we saw on the show alone, they were the most logical. People put off by Lexi’s assertive personality but she wasn’t wrong about anything she said. Of course Lexi could be gentler with Rae, but Rae had the same problems Aussie and Xander did. Like SPEAK UP for yourself. Why always blame the partner when their partner doesn’t know how to speak up? And to that point. Thank god Mal had Lexi as a friend bc she was really about to give up her dignity to be with Yoly who showed at every turn she didn’t want her anymore. And led on two people until the very last second of the show. Clearly the personalities of Lexi and Mal are just my preferences bc for me, some of the passivity. And naïveté of the other contestants annoyed me to not end.

People are out here defending absolute strangers... ill say this tho...it took Mal the threat of someone else to commit to Yoly; she would have strung her along if allowed for longer...Yoly was right to allow herself to explore other options...none should force anyone to commit. Yoly isn't wrong for wanting what she wanted when she wanted it. If she had more of a firm boundary with a time limit she could have saved herself from being strung along by someone she wasn't fully compatible with. Hope she finds love; She deserves it.
