Out of all the actors that I expected to have completely perfect chemistry, Nic Cage and Pedro Pascal were not one of those pairings. But hell do they *work!* I absolutely love this movie
Paddington and Paddington 2 are why I spent WAY to much money in citrus cause my kid said we just HAD to make marmalade. He didn't like it. In hindsight I could have just bought a jar first.
I have no idea how Nic fuckin Cage and Pedro fuckin Pascal became the world's greatest power couple, but god damn their chemistry in this movie is incredible.
Pedro Pascal is killing Hollywood rn, he has charged the big screen with thing like GOT, This, The Last of Us, Mandolorian ect, can’t get enough of him
YEEEEESSS! I’ve been hoping that they would react to this perfectly meta comedy gem! The scene of Nic Cage being woken up by having Tiffany Hadish saying “ACTION” was so funny I almost couldn’t breathe.🤣🤣🤣 And Pedro Pascal was freaking amazing in this movie, and that fact that like his character he grew up loving Nic Cage’s movies is a huge bonus. I really hope that in real life this gives Nicolas Cage a massive career comeback (not that he ever went away). And he deserves it because he’s Nic FUCKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING(WOO) CAGE! And for those wondering, “Nicky Cage” is designed to look how he did (not from one of his movies) but from an interview he did in the U.K. almost 30 years ago when he was promoting Wild At Heart. He was crazier than even Tom Cruise was when he did that Oprah interview.🤣🤣🤣
@@MrDyl666 Oh yeah, they mentioned it on their shows ranking right? Smth abt he only really loves two kinds of content: the masterpieces of course and the absolute HORRIBLE ones that are so bad it becomes entertaining
My friend binged most of Nic cage's movies in preparation to see this and when we saw it in theatres it was just constant laughter and walking out the theatre quoting the movie while looking like two madmen
cool, while we are waiting for Nicolas Cage as vampire, and Pedro Pascal in the next episode of The Last of Us and of course I love to see how different Pedro Pascal in every movies/series he's in (he always play a random characters - great actor indeed)
I have been waiting so long for you boys to watch as I think Pedro is astonishing in this (as is Nic Cage) and not actually father travelling with a child!!!!!
Not gonna lie when Nick Cage starts making out with himself, I screamed, "Gaaaaaahhh!!!" and threw my phone across the room. I wasn't ready for that. And when he grabs the back of his own head I laughed
I'm not exactly a huge fan of either Cage or Pascal. Familiar, yes, huge fan, eh, not really. And most modern comedies just don't do it for me. But this movie was so funny that, I kid you not, my face was actually hurting after watching it, I was grinning so much.
I went into watching this movie without knowing anything about it. My husband bought it and I just said ok let’s watch it. It was such a good movie! Nicholas Cage is back baby! (Not that he went anywhere)
I'm so happy to see you reacting to this. Just watched Unbearable Weight yesterday and was absolutely blown away. Don't get me wrong, I love everything with Nic Cage, even the [insert polite word for dumpster fires], but this one was really brilliant. Comedy gold and quite heartwarming. Great chemistry with Pedro Pascal as well :D
to be fair, i know nic cage, just from like.. pop culture? never really seen any of his films apart from maybe national treasure when i was younger and i still really enjoyed this movie Nevermind, i somehow forgot he was literally ghost rider, i fucking loved that movie. No wonder i have positive feelings when i think of nic cage
Saw this in the theatre and it really didn’t land for me. But, I thoroughly enjoyed you guys enjoying it so much. I liked Nic in Moonstruck and The Rock but to me he just seems to play Nic Cage. Pedro, however, seems to better become different characters. He is so great when he does scenes where he plays a bad actor Like here and in The Bubble ( a bad movie). Very fun reaction, guys! You may have convinced me rewatch it as well as some other Cage movies.
So much kink education needs to get out into the world. I still think that Rick & Calvin know more than they let on. Rick had the theme with the endorphin release... but there are many kinds of flails, some are very close to massage instead.
I took my now fiancé to see this, and she has literally not seen anything with him, and she loved it! We were both laughing, and it was interesting to see her perspective since she had no reference point for who this guy was😂
I literally watched this all the way through yesterday with my mom lol I always feel asleep or something came up and had to stop watching. Such a great reaction as always! Love this movie
This movie was such a lovely surprise. Initially I wanted to go to the theatres, hoping to watch Pedro Pascal on the big screen. But I ended up watching Pig a couple days before I went and I just LOVED Cage in it. So I walked out of the theatres with a great urge to watch more Nicolas Cage movies. And ofc, Pascal & Cage were TERRIFIC on-screen together. Absolutely can't wait to watch The Last of Us, and watch more Cage movies.
If y'all like movies about making movies, Tropic Thunder would be a good one. Also, I would have absolutely loved to be gifted a signed Nick Cage pillow.
I’ve not seen many Nick Cage movies, and I still absolutely loved this movie. I feel like almost none of the meta aspects were lost on me, despite my minimal knowledge. It’s just done very well.
the movie and the discussion after... golden 😆... but that actor moment and the "LIAR" after .... hahahahahaha ....p.s. nick cage movie reactions.... i'm all in... just sayin
I love seeing the Pasadena City Hall I live a few minutes away. I have a love hate relationship with it, I love seeing it in person it’s beautiful but if I’m down there it’s usually for a terrible reason.
I’m happy to see that Pascal is making all the right choices in his career. He deserves it, he’s a terrific actor! Although…I’ll never watch TLOU. For me there is only one, and that’s the videogame with Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson.
Having only seen one Nic Cage movie before this (National Treasure), I thought this movie was such a fun ride. They focused on telling a great story and making memorable characters -- when it easily could've just been nothing but Nic Cage references for 2 hours.
I watched this movie high on acid and the acid scenes had me absolutely rolling. Never seen the experience captured more perfectly than in this moment: 20:23
For myself when I thought about the question what is a top Nic Cage movie, the film that hit me after thinking about a bunch of movies was the 2002 film Windtalkers. Please consider this movie for Reaction.
