Hey guys! In this video we go over the unbelievable animated series that we ALMOST got after The Lost World: Jurassic Park! This show would have featured hybrid dinosaurs like a 3 headed T.rex and even some warriors in Mech suits! Today we go into the history of hybrids in the Jurassic franchise BEFORE Jurassic World and even dive into Chaos Effect which probably became an after thought after this animated series was cancelled. Hope you guys enjoy this info on the science fiction cartoon show that would've featured this crazy stuff! :D

I still have quite a few Chaos Effect dinosaurs. I loved those toys. The Ultimasaurus was something I hunted for, eventually learning the toy never went into production. The best overall line in my mind was either JP Series 2 or The Lost World. I'd of embraced an animation with hybrid dinosaurs and I think kids at the time would've loved it. They'd of made even more in the toys.

I was already an adult when JP came out. I would have utterly hated these multi-headed things. One of the beauties of JP is that it's not much of a stretch to imagine it as real. A three-headed tyrannosaurus? No,

Those 2 chaos effect toys I still have both of those and are some of my favorite toys I've got them in a glass cabinet with some of my other display stuff So glad to see those again lol

The official animated series in the franchise "Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous" is a CG animated series distributed by DreamWorks Animation Television, Universal pictures and Amblin entertainment, released on Netflix in 2020 and lasted 5th seasons in it's run. Taking place before, during and after "Jurassic World" and before "Fallen Kingdom" and "Dominion" I wounded if the dinosaurs from Camp Cretaceous would meet the (DreamWorks Trolls) because both series from the same Animation Studio "DreamWorks" now sold the rights by Universal pictures.

Those last two toys were my entire childhood. Think I still have them somewhere. Hybrids have always been a huge part of JP and otherwise for me since then. I was stoked for JP hybrids, still sad that it took until I was an adult to get them.

As weird as this may sound I can see that "Tri-Slug-rex" being the lead bad guy if the show. Like Mother Brain from Captain N, a big mean loud mouth that tells the other bad guys what to do. Like I dunno, stealing Dino DNA to make more abominations or something. And then our mech suited heroes and their dino friends have to stop them! Ever friday at 16:30.

I cannot say this was JP. like. At all. This just feels like a sci-fi 90s cartoon that would have been AWESOME. but like the idea for human hybrids, it's good only outside the JP series. I'm both sad and extremely happy this didn't happen.

Cool. Did not know that. Kinda reminds me of Pirates of the Blackwater(an old cartoon). Also makes me think of the kind of direction that game "The Isle" is taking which is also pretty neat. Would have loved to see this series though.

It's important to also remember what other cartoons were coming out at the time G.I. Joe Extreme, Extreme Ghostbusters, the MIB and Godzilla cartoons... this would have fit the bill of the time. However, I'm glad it didn't happen. I would have loved to have seen a series that ignored the events of the movie and focused on Grant trying to keep Jurassic Park up and running despite greedy Nedry's constant scheming and plans that would cause chaos on the park or his Biosyn pals coming to steal more things (including dinos).

Klayton, there's this one moment in JP3 thats been nagging me for a very long time. Its the scene where Grant discovers Billy has the raptor eggs. "Raptor eggs... Did you STEAL raptor eggs...?" [They didn't grow legs and hop into his lucky bag] I would like it if you did a review on just how bad that quote was.

I remember when Jurassic World was in development, I thought hybrid dinos in the movies would be outlandish and THANK GOODNESS the Indominus and Indoraptor look like normal dinosaurs. I originally thought the Indominus, back then Diablos Rex, would look like a freaky Cthulu raptor rex hybrid with snake fangs and tongue, but I'm happy with the end result. As for this?...oh boy...I see what they tried, but it probably would've worked on me if I was a kid at that time judging by shows like Zilla and Kong: the animated series. But seeing it now, is just weird. I think the movies and JW: Evolution are best versions when it comes to hybrid dinosaurs, while everything else: Chaos effect, the app games are just too much focused on hybrids...I honestly prefer the real dinosaurs....well, real to the exent of JP and JW.

Seeing this almost has the same vibe as it did for the Starship Troopers cartoon, while it wasn't the best, it could have gone over well. Most kids wouldn't have known much about it, as it was based on a dark film, but still, don't think it would have been that bad.

For someone who likes and defends the sequels I have to admit you make some good points I find myself kind of agreeing with. You mention the first movie, which is the best in the series and one of the best films ever, is heavily depicted as a science fiction film as opposed to the sequels which seemed to abandon the sci-fi elements and go for a more grounded approach as it deals with survival. I don't mind survival films in fact they can be really exciting but they could have used better writing and better character development.

Klayton you wont beleive this or maybe you will but the deleted roland scene from the lost world was actually put in the syfy showing of the movie. They also had the other deleted scene where Ludlow was Listing off all the people that died and how much there family was suing for there death.

Yeah cartoons that came out for kids based on more adult movies usually had nothing in common with the source material besides the very basic things they could amp up and sell toys with. So i could have definitely seen a JP cartoon being batshit crazy in the 90s, like so many other kids shows were

Also I had a handheld jp3 toy/sorta mini comp could mix some dinosaurs and it was sort of like a tomagachi As for chaos effect I had a sorta sequel fan fic in my head what could happen..then jw and jwfk happened..I felt like I was on their writing staff so many things I thought of happened in fallen kingdom it was surreal

I loved the detail they put into a lot of the Jurassic Park toys, but the chaos effect designs and colors were really off putting... more so than the "dino damage" gimmick. ...probably my favorite toy in the jurassic park line was the Coelophysis, for they had a nice realistic look and were rubber and bendy, allowing for The greatest poseability... it sure would be nice if they went with more toys using this idea

If they took this stuff and made it into something entirely new, It could work. This would be next to impossible to sell as a part of the JP franchise. But as something else entirely? Yeah, that could work.

as a kid I would have been all over this and I think many others would have as well, as an adult though, I'm sort of glad this never came to fruition, it's cool, but I really prefer the reasonably grounded approach the series took after the first movie.

I think it would be interesting but the design's would need to be toned down. A t rex with two heads? We see species born with two heads all the time due to mutations. It makes sense there would be some deformities. A slug rex? Maybe not...but I do think it would be an interesting show

Question: In the first movie, they said that frog DNA was used to fill in the holes in the DNA sequence of the dinosaurs they're tyring to create. Would these dinosaurs still be considered pure bred if they have frog DNA? This is my response for 5:46-NOT trying to anger anyone.

It's good they cut that hybrid from the Lost World because it will sounds more alien like in the 90ś and that will be far Naturalistic For a young little kid I grew up watching Jurassic Park as place where we can see the Dinosaurs that we know it (The Natural Dinosaurs)

I remember going to the theater to watch the original Jurassic Park and leaving with mixed feelings. I was disappointed the story didn't really follow the book. I was REALLY hoping for that aw and wonder turning horror experience I got from reading the book. At the same time I thought the movie was amazing & have loved pretty much everything Jurassic since. I don't remember seeing any Chaos Effect toys, but by the time they were coming out, I was "too old" for toys, so I didn't really look very closely. While they look cool, I don't think I would have liked them, even if I had been watching for them. The animated series with those hybrids probably would have turned me away from any intrest in any further Jurassic movies. I probably would have waited until Jurassic World, if that movie would have even become a thing.
