The Unbelievably Beautiful Home of Dan Weaver ~Saltbox Bliss~ Antiques & Primitives 

The one thing that stands out to me when I watch most people who decorate with authentic antiques is, they don't fill every bowl, crock and basket with flowers or something....and when they do put something in these pieces, it's usually drieds or something organic or other antiques. I've decided to allow my antiques to steal the show without camouflaging them with too much artificial decor added. Christmas seems to be when I like to use more pine etc but the rest of the time, I think I'm going to let the antiques stand out and be the star of the show. It was a delight to really absorb their decorating style.

Well it’s beyond words. I have never seen as many authentic early pieces under one roof. And what a perfect home to showcase the collections. I spied a sampler made by Bridgett sent with 🤎love to you from me. Well done my dear friends. 🤎

The neutral walls let the painted surfaces of the primitive antiques shine! The cupboards all are so neatly arranged and colorful with similar items, all making such sense. This home is the nicest home shown. The antiques are outstanding and so well arranged. There isnactual comfortable seating for people to sit on. Stunning, just a stunning home!!!

I have enjoyed Dan's photography and articles for several years. His and Jeff's home would have to be special..I wouldn't expect less. Bridgett, you are one lucky duck getting to tour it. Thanks for sharing. You are doing an amazing job!

I love Dan’s home, Bridgett. The attention to derail is amazing. While the kitchen may be my favorite room, I love the home as a whole. Yes, I know this home from his books which I highly recommend.

I love that the eye has a place to rest in these lovely rooms. Some primitive collectors just overdo with so many pieces and dried flowers and so on.

Watching this video is like a masterclass to learn how to stage and create little still-life scenes with one's collection. Dan has an exquisite taste and there is an element of whimsy in his style. The way he puts things together is incredibly warm, cosy and homely (not looking like a museum). I love Dan's collectibles from childhood that make me nostalgic. The colourful antique quilts make it all the more romantic. My hope for the future is that Dan will invite you back to his home for another tour during the holiday season (oh, I can visualise how festive it will be at Christmas!!).
