I absolutely adore the original solo, so I don't think anything would ever be able to top it for me. This is a cracking alternative though, and the mix is sounding great. Looking forward to hearing the whole album!

The Underfall Yard, Suppers Ready, Close to the Edge, If the Sun, Set The Controls for the Heart of the Sun (live), Mobius Slip, Harvest of Souls, Nine Feet Underground, Nubian Sundance, Duel With the Devil......... (I could go on and on and on) all in no particular order. The riches that are contained in extended musical compositions in Prog music are endless.

Great remix. The song was always great but there is a vibrancy to the sound that lifts it to the next level. Looking forward to April.

The Underfall Yard is an epic track with an immersive quality that is so captivating both in the original and in the remix. I travel through both versions with a similar sense of engagement that transcends preference for one over the other. The video is beautifully integrated with the music, expanding the story in a balanced and contemplative way that I very much enjoy. And as a devout Frostie, I always love listening to those pyrotechnic solos by Jem Godfrey. Looking forward to what comes next from BBT, with many thanks!

Always thought the 2009 version of this song was brilliant and innovative. How would ever have thought they would re-visit the album and actually improve on the original, just outstanding re-mix. Just love the accompanying graphics

I always thought the line was "searching for the reason/it is gone now" - the *actual* line ("searching for reason/is gone now") quite changes the meaning! Anyway, I love it and it sounds great (the bass pedals absolutely slay); I admit I am attached to Dunnery's original solo since it's what I've heard all these years, but I'm certainly not going to complain if Greg and David want to drop something new in!

Seems perfect apart from the new solo. The original was so good so I'm not sure why they updated it. The overall sound to this remix is incredible though. Really happy all of BBT's best albums now have great mixes with the minimalist mastering.

They can do a trap/eurobeat/polka/neo wave version of this song and ill still love it. The best song BBT has ever produced.

I am not an audiophile, so I don't particularly feel a difference between this and the original version. Apart from the new solo, of course, and the fact that it adds about 30 seconds to the track. So I wonder: is this a remix, or a re record? I mean, is the additionnal 30 seconds an original recording that was not included in the original version, or is it a new recording? Same question regarding the new solo: was it an alternate take from the original session, or is it a new recording? And if it is a new recording, why not have Rikard do it? Great song as ever.

Love the song (it's in my "top 5" list of 20+ minute prog tunes), so I'm hoping this new mix doesn't lose or diminish what I liked about it. Interesting. Not sure how the YT encoding affects the sounds and EQ, but it definitely sounds cleaner and more crisp overall. The mellotron and synth pads are now stereo panned a bit more. Bass seems a little less crunchy (not my preference). No heavy low piano notes accenting the early parts. What?? Replaced the first guitar solo?? Think the old one worked better with the 11/8 riff. Kept the Godfry solo (good thing). Lots of changes in panning and EQ to better let the track breathe a bit (good thing for the most part). Have to admit parts of the older mix definitely sound muddier in comparison. Interesting that you widened the keys in parts, spreading them out a bit, and in other parts you did the opposite with the harmony vocals, pulling them tighter to center, to let the instruments come through a bit more. All-in-all, amazing job improving the sonics. Miss the chunkier, crunchier bass tone, but that's really my biggest (and quite personal) complaint. Still an awesome tune and still quite enjoyable. Good work! Cheers!

This is the mix I'm used to. The OG was far to keys up front and far less focus on the great guitar work.

Prefer the original guitar solo

The new guitar solo is inferior. Sorry. I prefer the original. It had soul and emotion
