Black market in some places in Africa mean where there sell traditional things or black magic things and sometime very scary stuff illegal and all of that but in Ivory Coast our black market is just a “big market where you can by cheap stuff like cloths, electronics and things like this” each country in Africa have his meaning for this
@@sage7296 🇮🇳 its copy of Indian flag. I hope you do know that saffron is Indias color. Because india is 5000+ year old civilization. And only color saffron represents India. Ireland and Cotedvoire and Niger flags are copy of India.
There's some similarities. I lived in both. Ivory coast is more lively than Ghana. The food is where the similarities shows. Everything else seems Different
Because they want to act african american. They think its cool acting gangsta like black american rappers swearing and all.Thank you to what the media portrays of black americans in africa.
@Football Always / كورة دائمًا no it ain't wtf... they obviously engrossed themselves in American culture and music and most foreign language speaking people pick up an American accent when speaking English as its phonetically easier
Hey Drew I saw you didn't translated some French (for example at 1:57) You had a "human translator" with you at others moments x) But maybe you don't have everytime someone that can translate to you what French speaking peoples said to you on camera or what is written sometimes on the signboard or shop when it's in French 😅 So I wanna let you know since I'm a native French speaker who live in France, that if you ever need someone for translating the French in your video to English subtitles then I'm there for you and I would love to help you about this ^^ I love your videos Drew, you are amazing 😀👍
@@beksimir6369 I can translate it for you. What they're speaking is french with Nouchi. Nouchi is what they called the local slang there. 1:54 - We are here. This is the black market. I am (says his name) yeah yeah yeah. 1:58 How you doing guys? Then he makes some noise to show off really. They do it when they want to flex. They start saying the name of his song. The guy in yellow song name 2:02 " Ya pas way" You can find it on RU-vid if you searched " PASSADENA YA PAS WAY" Which means " there's no way" in English. I understand this cause I speak french and I lived in that country 15 years ago lol.
Ivorian's are very proud of the French background and tries there back to hold back from government corruption,With Abidjan dubbed "The Paris of Africa". American love to any Ivorian's or Ivorian descent reading this comment
The French influence is the source of corruption and no, no one is proud of their French background there. The only reason drew said it’s v. French is due to how Abidjan is but go anywhere else in the country or talk to people and they’ll tell you they don’t like that influence at all. The neo-colonial french hold on the nation is what is preventing them from developing like Ghana and Nigeria
Hey drew, I've always wanted to travel the world solo, but I'm kind of an introvert and I've always thought that not interacting with locals means missing out on some amazing experiences when it comes to traveling. I love how you are always surrounded by nice people in your videos, showing you around and stuff, and I wondered if you could give some tips on how to have the same approach when traveling. Do you just strike up a conversation with random people you see in the streets? Do you meet people online before getting to the place you're visiting? Do you do guided tours and mostly interact with the guides? Anyway you're a great inspiration, keep it up man, much love from italy
SadWolf you should be open to some of the locals. If they are mean or don’t welcome foreigners, don’t really speak to them a lot. However in lots of nice countries, depends, there’s nice people there. Most people aren’t as mean as you think because most of them are nice people.
raesocool i don’t think that’s the only video he recorded.. if you follow him on Instagram you can see when he was in Côte d’Ivoire he went to Grand Bassam.. it has beaches
They think the Nigerian government has boosted the music and entertainment industry generally to become what it is today? I laugh in French cos they dunno 😂. The hustling, can-do and die hard Nigerian spirit of "I must make it" coupled with abundant innovative talents are solely responsible for where the industry is. It didn't start today, it goes decades way back!
*this is where we go wrong as Africans, we have been influenced so much by the western world that we believe the western world is the land of opportunities. Even if I had a scholarship to study in the US i would still come back to work in my country. Did i mention the number of Americans coming to invest in my country?* Africa is the home of opportunities!
The Guys in The Black Market (Adjamé district) say: - Moi c'est Dumbamaphia "I'm Dumbamaphia" (I think probably a NickName) - The 2nd one say an insult, i dunno why, "gnenee", something like "sucker" - An all together say "ya pas weee", mean like "ther's nothing" how say "nothing special to say" And yes it's a local slang called Nouchi Bye Drew Nim- Italian-ivorian from Abidjan
Thanks for saying it's your favorite country so far ☺️ cotedivoire is my birth country and I literally searched for when you were there.Abidjan is awesome and I will really love to mert you if you are back here. I could give you some tips on what to say to them too😂.

In beauty, charm, wit of girls, women among African nations, I fancy most kenyans, chad, madagascar, south african, namibians, ethiopians, somalians most.
@@MohanRaj-wz8qy He talked about opportunity, not peace. Many of these people will prefer living in their home country other than moving to India. As India has nothing to offer it's own citizens, talk less of foreigners.
