Apologies for this not being as long as our usual episodes but I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to chat to the Deadman! Hopefully the WWE can help us continue this one and chat to a few other legends 🖤
Undertaker is simply everyone's childhood, his gimmick and theme song were one of the best ever and the matches with HBK arguably the best of WWE. Happy retirement Taker❤️
rlx Yep I always used to do his arm raise thing the best thing about him was that he wasn’t a glory hog like undertaker lost to a lot of people to give them a chance to progress their careers obviously being scripted but still
Yea I had to look twice this ninja got the undertaker on his podcast I've seen it all now congratulations your videos are fun engageful and entertaining respect
you know what I love about this interview, I could tell Mark wanted to be there, sometimes when you watch ex - wrestlers or sports ppl, you kinda get the feeling they keep answers short etc... in this interveiw you can see Mark was engrossed and enjoying this convo! it was very natural
He gave 3 decades of his life playing a dark brooding menacing character in dedication to his craft, now he has no filter and is being invited all over the place to share all those experiences
This by far is one of the better interviews I've seen anyone do with Taker who is allowed to open up more about Mark Callaway, the man. You really allowed him to be himself in this interview and I really appreciate getting to hear more about what I didn't know for all those years about Taker. I'm not surprised at all to hear him talk about how hard it was to be real Mark versus Undertaker and having to sacrifice his personal life to make sure we always got the best character we could.
It's truly incredible how you've went from telling Newcastle to fk off on fifa to now doing a POD CAST with one of the most loved and know people in sports! Glad to see how far you've come !!
I've been saying for years that there will be a moment where this podcast breaksout mainstream and guests level up and this is where brian will go mega. Keep up the quality work fellas 🙌
As an aspiring RU-vidr with 8 subscribers doing wrestling gaming videos, this is the type of content I like to see.. a legendary RU-vidr and a legendary wrestler. Try get some more wrestlers on here, Geordie!
When you see a guy like Mr. Calloway talk about how hard it is on the human body to do what they do, you gotta give respect to Roman (Joe) to get out there an face the boos he faced for a few years straight an turn it around to be the new biggest guy in the company an to be at like 90 95% of the house shows doing it day in day out with a disease like leukemia is simply amazing!!! Much much respect after seeing him live a few weeks ago!!! Hell much respect to them all for being able to do what they do!!
I love the Undertaker. My 80 year old father if Wrestling is ever mentioned talks about the Undertaker. Dont think he know's anyone who debuted since 1995 but Taker crosses generations and is loved and respected by all. Would have been good to talk about the locker room court where Taker was judge.
Learn to read… I didn’t mention Taker specifically. Just said most guests approach Brian. He said on a recent stream that Theroux, Russell Brand and Tripper approached him.
I am a huge pro wrestling fan. The undertaker is my favourite WWE SUPERSTAR of all time. He is one of the reasons of why I am following my dream to one day become a WWE Superstar. The man is the epitome of a legend. His character is the greatest creation in WWE history, an undefeated streak that became the focal point of WRESTLEMANIA every year, countless of amazing matches, an entrance that will give you goosebumps, whenever that gong hit. A career that transcended the wresting business. Taker has earned that HOF induction, and when Vince inducts him, it’s going to be emotional.
As a kid, the "Dead Man" Undertaker genuinely scared me and much like Geordie, the American Badass was the coolest thing I've ever seen. I live in the Philippines, seeing Mark on a big bike and getting to learn more about the character got me more interested with American culture. Anyways, this was damn good podcast!
Brian I can’t describe how proud of you this whole community is, getting a legend like The Undertaker on the pod is insane, much love from all the True Geordie fans in Scotland 💯💯💯
Wooooow! This is actually insane, Brian. You're one of the few to get an out-of-character interview with The Undertaker. Big respect. Congratulations! 🎉
My first memory of the undertaker was the 1989 or 1990!?? Royal Rumble walking to the ring with the 1 and only Paul bearer and I was 9 or 10 years old blew my mind!!!!!! Undertaker threw everybody out the ring WORLD CLASS what a fantastic interview thanks T Geordie and mark amazing
@Henry Andrews I actually watched it live for some reason I was staying at my nan and grandads they had sky sports they fell asleep and I stayed up to watch lol first ever rumble and I'd only just got Into then WWF
I was so hyped at the end with them talking about maybe doing another podcast. I’ve always loved the undertaker growing up so a longer chat between the two would be incredible
Great episode. This is perhaps the most relaxed and engaged that I have ever seen the undertaker, all credit goes to you for that Brian. Such a shame it was so short. Bring on part 2!
I remember watching his debut fight in the early 90's. What a great guy, and I bet it was it was an absolute honor to speak with him. Keep it up buddy.
The biggest compliment I can give you Brian is that I’ve never watched wrestling, never been interested in it either and I still massively enjoyed this pod, your interviewing technique really makes every guest interesting. Big up yourself Brian!!
Im not even a WWE fan but this was so entertaining and still appealed to me. Seems like a cool guy and a good character. Put himself across as a good fella
Proud of how far you've come Brian, as a fellow Geordie, it must be an amazing feeling dude to be able to interview people of such high calibre. You're a legend. Thank you for this.
Brilliant stuff, Brian! The Undertaker was always my favourite from the 80s through the Attitude era and on, so happy to see you interviewing him. Well done!
One of the most iconic figures in sports entertainment, The Undertaker is simply a man who needs no introduction. A 7-time world champion, The Undertaker has not only fought just about anybody in the business but also accomplished so much. i love you Undertaker and Thank you to The Undertaker for his long path of destruction
OMG!!! This interview was so revealing. I've never gotten to hear Undertaker talk about his character in such vivid detail outside of character like this. This is gold right here. True Geordie you are legend for getting this kind of rare information from The Undertaker himself. Thanks soooooooooooo much True Geordie for having my lifetime idol The Undertaker on here. Great big props to you for just plain being quiet and listening, which is a talent that too many hosts haven't mastered. Then viewers like myself get frustrated wondering what The Undertaker would have said. One guy interviewed him absolutely terrible and everyone was pissed waiting for Undertaker to Tombstone him.
Been watching a few different Undertaker interviews recently, he was my all time favourite growing up and it’s great to see that he’s such a decent and humble guy outside of the character
@@adrianriley753 Exactly. Taker was 35 years old when he first became the American badass but he looked 45. Taker always looked 10 years older than his actual age.
I love the UNDERTAKER he reinvented himself 4 times when he was in WCW he was MEAN MARK WITH THE HEART PUNCH, Then in WWE he became THE UNDERTAKER,THE AMERICAN BAD ASS,then THE UNDERTAKER again,HE has always been mainstream and he still is....He deserves to be in the H.O.F....CONGRATULATIONS UNDERTAKER...
As a fan of the undertaker who watched him day view in 1990 I really love this time of getting to know mark Callaway and seeing who the undertaker really is in real life it's just so awesome to see him now and watch his interviews on tv and listen to his stories of having to come up and seeing how all the hard work has now paid off.
Georgie! I've been following your content for a long time. To see your growth up to now is incredible. And here you are interviewing my favorite wrestler of all time right before i get to see him inducted into the hall of fame. Keep on blessing my life with your content.
Amazing!! This man scared me to death when i was about 7 or 8 but you couldnt not watch him! And as i grew older and learned more about its entertainment i was in ore of how good he was at making it believable!
I had a sneaky feeling that the next guest could be someone from the professional wrestling world but omg this just blew my mind! The man, the myth, the legend himself.....and the Undertaker 😁
For anyone curious, the theme music that played at 0:28 is "The Undertaker" by Traumatosis. This was a fantastic interview and anytime Undertaker talks I listen to every word he says. Undertaker is the greatest of all time in my eyes. Congrats on 3 decades of destruction and being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, Undertaker. ⚱
One of my favourite podcasts to date. Like you, I grew up being a massive undertaker fan right through to his retirement, even got a couple of tattoos!!! Lol. Really hope you can get him back on at some point in the near future. Top work True Geordie 👍
Thank you Brian for this incredible interview! Undertaker is my childhood hero! And Mark is always so cool and such an incredibly nice person! So glad to see him comfortable to speak out on his characters!
The undertaker imo is up there with the rock, Donald trump, Messi, ronaldo etc in terms of being a globally recognised household name, this podcast is a huge landmark for geordie! Been a fan since the Robbie Williams episode and have watched every single one since! Thanks for this episode Bryan and congrats!
This is when you know you’ve hit the top!!!! The bloody undertaker. He’s an amazing man. I don’t care it’s all acting In my head he is and will always be that character. So amazing xx
Get Brock on this. One of the more surprising people to talk to given his persona as a superstar. It would be very interesting to talk to him about his 1st WWE run, his college days, his transition to UFC, and his 2nd and 3rd WWE runs. An absolute beast in the ring but a very calm and sensible guy outside of the ring.
Also those moments of which were a shock to the audience and him - Being told he was going to break the streak, missing his ‘star splash’, him actually cutting open Orton and Braun in matches. His matches vs John, Taker, Kurt.
Whatever it takes for more podcasts like these, I can't believe these two powerhouse behemoths managed to come together for such a great interview, loved every second and would go out of my way to get anything like this again. Thanks Geordie!
Absolutely incredible that you’ve managed to get The Undertaker. Surely one of the greatest you’ve managed to get on. Credit to you guys, you’re clearly being taken seriously
It's mental to think at his age how long he continued to keep putting out such top performances in the ring. An absolute legend. Any kid born in the 90s at some point you supported the undertaker! shame you couldn't get more time and talk about him and Kane being the beasts they were. Fingers crossed for part 2 and maybe some other wrestling legends! Give me a hell yeah 😉😅🙌🏽😤
There's a saying that Silence is a display of power, and projects terror. That's what his character was, very rarely spoke, did all his talking with the amazing entrances, great matches, and generally brilliant storylines.
From ranting abouting Newcastle/mile ranger to where you are now I've followed you all the way and you are one of the top 3 interviewers out there so glad you are getting big names you deserve
